1399363 tn?1462342610 Histamine occurs naturally in certain foods and an enzyme called diamine oxidase, which is present in our body breaks down the histamine which we absorb from food. Deficiency of this enzyme can cause histamine intolerance. Among the naturally occurring fruits and vegetables some can be rich in histamines and some promote the release of histamine from mast cells. So, with consumption of food the reactions can vary.
Avatar f tn It's water, D-glucose (sugar), citric acid (a preservative), sodium benzodate (a preservative), and artificial flavoring. So yes, sugar water. Unless you're eating 100% out of your own, 100% natural grown garden, you are going to drink/eat WAY more "stuff" than that on a daily basis.

Avatar f tn Preservatives do not damage the cornea, every drop that is multiuse has some sort of preservative in it.. The most common is BAK. So out of a hundred people that take preservative eye drops several times/day only one or two will be allergic to preservative. And in those it does not do serious or permanent damage to eye on cause it to be red or irriated till they are stopped.

Avatar n tn ve found between the two is in the preservative used .... some people have an allergic reaction to to the Humalog preservative and Novolog works better (and vice versa). Avatar m tn If your eyes were okay on the Azarga and only started when you added travoprost then the problem is likely the travoprost. Yes the BAK preservative can be a problem for some people. Travaprost has preservatives and maybe BAK. They do make a preservative free drug in the same family (Latanoprost), in the US it is sold under name Zioptin. It can be expensive for some insurance plans.

Avatar f tn He should get one, even if he has to pay for it. Make an appointment and have the doctor order the single-dose vial, which has no mercury preservative. The multiple dose vials have preservative, which probably isn't harmful, but it's better not to have it.
Avatar m tn Perhaps you are allergic to the preservatives in most of the antihistamine eyedrops such as Zaditor. Similisan Eye Allergy has a different type of preservative than Zaditor so maybe that's why it works for you. Without knowing whether it's the preservative that's the problem, this may not help but a while back there was a discussion thread about whether preservative-free allergy eye drops were available.
Avatar f tn But you should see a eye doctor to make sure there is no damage in the eye if a preservative was used on the frog. If no preservative was used the only bacteria that I know frogs can have is Salmonella. Perhaps they may give you antibiotics. But it's not likely since you rinsed your eyes well right? If you have redness, discharge or pain in the eye or blurred vision see an eye doctor right away to check your eyes. Otherwise if you have no symptoms you should be fine.
Avatar f tn Could be caseine used as a preservative ? May want to look @ the ingredients...sodium caseinate I believe is the preservative but not 100% sure or if it's even in the beef you are eating .... however, I doubt raw beef has this in it.
Avatar f tn I don't refrigerate mine, as I have the multi-dose vial with preservative. There is another type without preservative; I'm not certain if you have to refrigerate it before use, but I do know that once you've punctured the rubber seal, you throw the rest out. If you've got the multi-dose vial like me, you don't have to keep it cold. Just make sure you wipe the rubber top with alcohol before and after you draw from it.
