Avatar f tn So everything from the LP was clear, except for "mature appearing lymphocytes are present." What might this mean? Please feel free to take a look at my previous posts for background info. - I have a 10+ year history of symptoms, and am desperate for answers! Thank you all so much.
1399363 tn?1462342610 Histamine occurs naturally in certain foods and an enzyme called diamine oxidase, which is present in our body breaks down the histamine which we absorb from food. Deficiency of this enzyme can cause histamine intolerance. Among the naturally occurring fruits and vegetables some can be rich in histamines and some promote the release of histamine from mast cells. So, with consumption of food the reactions can vary.

Avatar f tn My question is what can make my lymphocytes so high? Also does that make my chance of having MS more likely with the lymphocytes being so high? I know they should not be over 40 in the standard range. Hoping someone could help me out.
Avatar n tn Recent labs show high protein at 70 mg and presence of ketones. Normal glucose. Eat balanced diet. Low neutrophils, high lymphocytes. Night sweats periodically. Mild skin breakouts. Lupus? myeloma? Diabetes?

Avatar n tn They ran some blood tests and my glucose (not fasting) was 61 mg/dl, WBC were 4.0 (1000/CMM), Hematocrit 35.9% and Lymphocytes were 44.1 %. Everything else looked normal. My TSH levels were 2.44 MIU/ML. My question is this: Can you have a problem with your thyroid even though your TSH tests normal? And, does the lowered WBC and high Lymphocyte count something that I should look into further? Thank you for your help!

Avatar f tn The TSH over 3 would point to Hypothyroidism (Low thyroid or more simply "Hypo") This would warrant at best further testing of thyroid. Specifically demand to be tested for Free T4 and Free T3 tests. Be very specific with the word "FREE". It is NOT about the cost of the test. Rather it is noting a specific test that counts the hormone that is NOT attached to a protein. And thus "free" meaning all by itself.
580765 tn?1274919360 If you do have the results, see what you glucose levels were. The glucose level in the CSF should be around 60% of that found in your blood glucose level. Hope that helps.
