Common Questions and Answers about Glucose molecule provides electrons in cellular respiration

glucose

Avatar f tn When the polar opposites cathode (negative electrons) and anode (positive electrons) reach a specific level there will be repolarization by transfering electrons from anode to the cathode. This action with subsequent repolarization of cells move the electrical impulse along a path to a destination to contract heart chambers. If there is an electrolytic imbalance (chemical dissociation), that can cause an arrythmia (fast, slow or irregular).
Avatar f tn Type 2 Diabetes is a diet & lifestyle related illness. Most people put the blame on the Sugar and Carbohydrate for the elevated glucose level in the blood. Actually, it is not the 'sweetness' of the modern diet that causes Type 2 Diabetes, it is the Acidic by-products that accumulated in the cellular environment that hinder the function on insulin to bring in glucose into the cells for energy production or storage. This condition is commonly known as Insulin Resistance.
1202943 tn?1347840652 Iodine can be replaced by halogens fluorine, chlorine and bromine as they all have exactly 7 electrons in their outer shell and can attach to the same receptor sites. Based on atomic weight, bromine (79.90), chlorine (35.45) and fluorine (18.99) are able to displace iodine (126.70). One halogen can displace another one of a higher atomic weight but cannot displace one of lower weight.
Avatar m tn s blood pressure and WEAK respiratory muscles from birth. Respiration in the lungs has a definite influence over the creation of pressure in blood vessels and the oxygen delivered during the respiratory cycle affect the receptors in the body regions. This means the rate of respiration may be influenced by changing blood pressures. The etiology can be explained with further detail!

This molecule gives breath a garlic odor characteristic of selenium toxicity.
Avatar n tn ViRexx believes that the development of humoral and cellular responses may be effective in clearing the virus from patients with chronic hepatitis B infection.
Avatar m tn Vitamin A is a vitamin that is needed by the retina of the eye in the form of a specific metabolite, the light-absorbing molecule retinal. This molecule is absolutely necessary for both scotopic and color vision. Vitamin A also functions in a very different role, as an irreversibly oxidized form retinoic acid, which is an important hormone-like growth factor for epithelial and other cells.
Avatar m tn LOL LOL Very cute But you are OUT!! Ok I'll give you another chance to play I am Tired, Went into Manhattan, to the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium Haven't been their in 15 years Vinpocetine facilitates cerebral metabolism by improving cerebral microcirculation (i.e., blood flow to, and throughout, the brain).
483733 tn?1326798446 So where does D-Ribose come in? A D-Ribose molecule is the backbone of every ATP molecule! But the body isn’t very good at producing D-Ribose. Worse still, many people with FM and CFS have a large percentage of damaged mitochondria, which means there are fewer places where the Krebs Cycle can happen. Taking D-Ribose is like pouring gas in your car. It refuels the Krebs Cycle so your mitochondria can make energy more efficiently!

975514 tn?1324997938 Did you tell the lab that you weren't fasting? I personally don't see all that much value in a random glucose test because it doesn't establish much. That being said, though your numbers were well in line even for fasting. In fasting tests, under 100 is considered normal, 100-125 pre-diabetes and 126 and over diabetes. Since you do have some reactions to foods I would just test it yearly or so, and like you already do, stay away from sugar. Better for your health anyway!
Avatar m tn Manipulating RNA is a much sought-after goal, given the recent explosion in vital cellular roles ascribed to RNA and the growing number of diseases that are linked to RNA malfunction. RNA performs many of its roles by serving as a switch that changes shape in response to cellular signals, prompting appropriate reactions in response.
Avatar m tn The information I have given you is fairly well-known among diabetics and doctors who work with diabetics, and we do know that stress affects hormone production and in metabolism rates, two things that play a big part in glucose levels in humans. I think those would be two basics to work from and to do more research on. I wish you the best while finishing your presentation for class.
Avatar n tn The stress test may be used to evaluate one's exercise tolerance and that information provides ability to assess prognosis and treatment. For instance the treadmill can measure in METs (metabolic equivalent tasks) the energy expended at a given level of exertion. At a given MET level, vital signs are monitored, heart rate, respiration, etc. For a perspective 1 MET is the amount of energy to quietly sit, 2-4 METs to walk up a flight of stairs ( 7 METs usually qualifies for surgery.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a male 47 yrs old and for the last couple of tests over two week period my fasting blood glucose level is 124 and 127 and po is around 150. Pls advise whether I should consult a doctor and start medications?
Avatar m tn Thank you so much for your input. I guess it is the same finding about Vit C molecule and Glucose molecule and how they both look the same and why cancer cells "think" it's the right fuel for them where in fact it's Vitamin C molecule absorb. I have a little text in my journal about Vit C and Glucose. Take a look if you like. Take care, Hugs, Sunes.
Avatar m tn and i feel it is respiration related because mostly i have the shortage in respiration.
Avatar n tn I too had very bad palpitations when I first got sick and ended up in the emergency room twice in a week. Although lots of high priced doctors never figured it out, I am convinced from my reading and later experience that the problems were due to the Lyme bacteria using up the magnesium in my body in their little reproduction dance. I was thirsty and my lips were papery dry, I felt shaky and confused, and my heart beat was very irregular.
Avatar f tn Free T4 and Free T3 levels are not the whole story however. In order to have adequate thyroid effects at the cellular (tissue) level, there are other variables also involved such that serum levels do not always reflect tissue thyroid levels. That is why it is important to always consider symptoms first, rather than just test results compared to reference ranges that are too broad to be functional for many people.
Avatar n tn I had taken a low dosage of Klonopin in conjuction with my Zoloft in the past to manage extra stress. A stressful situation has come into my life and I had been debating taking some again. As my prescriber is currently away I was considering taking some of the Klonopin that remained unused from 2 years ago. The suggested expiry date is approximately 18 months passed. My question is not whether I should or should not take it...as ethically I dont believe you can answer the question.
Avatar f tn I went to the emergencyroom back in march. They did blood tests and my glucose was 104 which they considered high(normal being up to 99) They never said anything to me about this and as far as I know, I have never had this before. I had to go to the emergency room again last month and again, they did blood work. My glucose level was only 88. I am just wondering if I should be looking into this. Could I be diabetic? They never said anything about the high level.
1538488 tn?1331483305 My fasting blood glucose is 110-125 mg/dl.hba1c is 7.96. My age is 57 years. After 2 hrs of b/f 165-190mg/dl. No medication.Glucose level slightly increase after exercise in the morning .What action is to be taken?
315737 tn?1407298997 These changes are also thought to be markers for aging. The scientists say that it is the fructose molecule in the sucrose, not the glucose, that plays the larger part.20 Because it is metabolized by the liver, fructose does not cause the pancreas to release insulin the way it normally does. Fructose converts to fat more than any other sugar. This may be one of the reasons Americans continue to get fatter. Fructose raises serum triglycerides significantly.
Avatar f tn a large one in the right shoulder, a smaller one in the left shoulder, a few on the 2nd rib on the left side, some in the lymph nodes and in the lungs. The radiologist kept asking if my brother was experiencing a cough, or shortness of breath, chest pains. My brother denied having any problems except for the severe pain in is shoulder. Once all the scans were complete, my brother was instructed to return to his doctor's office.
Avatar f tn I worked in medical labs for years and it was quite typical to see glucose values over 100 when patients were given a glucose tolerance test. The normal values in our lab at that time were 80-120 mg/dL, but fasting glucose levels over 100 mg/dL typically resulted in follow-up testing for the patient. The section of the lab I worked (Clinical Chemistry) didn't do the HbA1c test. It might've been done in a different section or it may not have been available yet back then.
Avatar f tn That is it remains in your blood at the ready for when your body needs thyroid hormone. In which case the T4 will be converted (mostly in the liver) into T3 hormone. Both T4 and T3 hormone can remain in two states. One is and a good portion of each becomes attached or stuck to a protein molecule. When either of them become attached to a protein molecule the hormone becomes inert. That is useless and can't be used.
Avatar f tn Cardiac enzymes only show when there is cellular damage/destruction secondary to hypoxia. In other words an infarct. That is usually also reflected in ST changes on the EKG. A more likely cause is inflammation of the pancreas, or, in a worst case, an aneurysm. In the case of such pain the answer is not to "see a doctor", but call 911 and go to the nearest ER.
