Avatar m tn Thank you so much for your input. I guess it is the same finding about Vit C molecule and Glucose molecule and how they both look the same and why cancer cells "think" it's the right fuel for them where in fact it's Vitamin C molecule absorb. I have a little text in my journal about Vit C and Glucose. Take a look if you like. Take care, Hugs, Sunes.
Avatar n tn Lactose Polyethylene Glycol Listing just lactose (One Molecule of lactose consists of one molecule each of two other carbohydrates, i.e. galactose and glucose) and Polyethylene Glycol. I will give you this information and let you draw your own conclusions as the safety of the product. The dosage for production must usually be within 5% of the labeled dosage to be considered (for example) a 2mg dose.
Avatar f tn I went to the emergencyroom back in march. They did blood tests and my glucose was 104 which they considered high(normal being up to 99) They never said anything to me about this and as far as I know, I have never had this before. I had to go to the emergency room again last month and again, they did blood work. My glucose level was only 88. I am just wondering if I should be looking into this. Could I be diabetic? They never said anything about the high level.
315737 tn?1407298997 These changes are also thought to be markers for aging. The scientists say that it is the fructose molecule in the sucrose, not the glucose, that plays the larger part.20 Because it is metabolized by the liver, fructose does not cause the pancreas to release insulin the way it normally does. Fructose converts to fat more than any other sugar. This may be one of the reasons Americans continue to get fatter. Fructose raises serum triglycerides significantly.
Avatar f tn Yes, as I understand it, glycated hemoglobin is the attachment of glucose to hemoglobin, a globular protein molecule. It is a measure of blood sugar levels over about three months time and is elevated when blood sugar has been elevated. I'm looking for information on what levels of blood sugar typically result in glycation. I have not seen my blood sugar go over 127, and I'm wondering what level I should be keeping it under in order to lower my Hgba1c.
Avatar n tn htm There is an increased risk. Please get the glucose tolerance tests and blood glucose tests done as soon as possible. I hope the symptoms are just side effects and not the diagnosis that none of us want. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I am going on 30 weeks and I had my glucose testing done which came back normal but I am constantly thirsty for water I can't get enough is this normal as I get close to my due date or is there something wrong.
Avatar f tn I also grew up with a father who did not control his blood glucose and saw him bounce around just like that. Having high blood glucose and low blood glucose can really effect your mood. People who are having blood glucose levels over 300 can really be the meanest individuals. The higher the number, the worse the mood swings can be.
956931 tn?1271636169 Good Afternoon, I just spoke with the Coordinator of my study about the glucose issue. My last blood glucose was 97 before the "week one" blood draw last week which indicated a blood glucose of 114. My Hgb A1C was 6.1 and needed to be under 7.0; which it is. So I am not excluded due to my blood sugar as it is not at this time a problem and falls well within the range of acceptable.
163305 tn?1333668571 Newswise — Chemists at the University of California, San Diego have produced the first high resolution structure of a molecule that when attached to the genetic material of the hepatitis C virus prevents it from reproducing. Hepatitis C is a chronic infectious disease that affects some 170 million people worldwide and causes chronic liver disease and liver cancer. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hepatitis C now kills more Americans each year than HIV.
483733 tn?1326798446 So where does D-Ribose come in? A D-Ribose molecule is the backbone of every ATP molecule! But the body isn’t very good at producing D-Ribose. Worse still, many people with FM and CFS have a large percentage of damaged mitochondria, which means there are fewer places where the Krebs Cycle can happen. Taking D-Ribose is like pouring gas in your car. It refuels the Krebs Cycle so your mitochondria can make energy more efficiently!
Avatar f tn m I on too much medication as my blood sugar are still not under control, they are still going up and down just like a mountain peak, How much insulin will I need to be able to control my sugar and will I come off the metformin when that happens, I am also a bi-polar manic depressive patient and I am very depressed at thsi point due to the fact of the new use of insulin and things just don;t seem to be going in the right direction I am very confused, I have considered going in to see my internis
1444261 tn?1284382421 One thing I would do is have tests run for your thyroid levels and glucose levels by an endocrinologist. I have all these symptoms along with many more and discovered that I was low thyroid and had reactive hypoglycemia. I am doing further testing with a lyme disease specialist because my symptoms have been progressing and doctors can not determine the cause. My husband and son suffer from the same conditions and my endocrinologist recommended we rule out lyme disease.
Avatar n tn from being stuck to a protein molecule. When the hormone is attached to the protein molecule, it becomes 100% useless! So you realy want the free isolated hormones that actually do all the work to be tested and counted. Also if you are fatigued and it is common for people with low thyroid to also be deficient in the following and you should be tested for these as well Vitamin D3, Vitamin B-12 Iron Ferritin back to TSH. TSH is a pituitary hormone.
Avatar n tn Pegasys is Interferon alfa-2a with a chunk of an inert molecule attatched. The molecular weight of the chunk is about 40,000 Daltons. The inert material is polyethylene glycol(PEG), a long-chain molecule or polymer which passes unmodified through the body. Pegetron/PegIntron is Interferon-2b with a different-sized chunk of PEG on it., I believe its 14,000 Daltons. (You will recall that 1 Dalton is the weight of a hydrogen atom.
Avatar f tn Speak to who is prescribing the medication and let them know things have worsened. Some medications that work to treat ADHD such as Ritalin can at times cause mood elevation or psychosis (although they are helpful treatments) so if things are worsening a psychiatrist needs to be informed. This can happen with some other medications as well. Read the medication website or prescription label and discuss it with the psychiatrist.
Avatar m tn LOL LOL Very cute But you are OUT!! Ok I'll give you another chance to play I am Tired, Went into Manhattan, to the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium Haven't been their in 15 years Vinpocetine facilitates cerebral metabolism by improving cerebral microcirculation (i.e., blood flow to, and throughout, the brain).
Avatar f tn borderline diabetic, cirrohsis, bi-polar, migraines, and food allergies to coconut and mustard. I have one form of information that says to drink lots of fluids including fruit juices. Another says to avoid simple carbs - like fruit juices! These type of conflicting advice sorces are very frustrating to someone who was just recently found out that they had Hep C and stage four cirrohsis!
Avatar n tn Synthroid is a stereo synthetic molecule that mimics the real thyroid molecule. Because it is similar in the type of bonds but not the true thyroid molecule (like Armour) the body is initially fooled into believing (metabolically) that it is getting a new, adequate dose of what it needs. The body, however, doesn't accommodate the stereo mimicry (being "fooled" by a look-alike molecule) very long and responds with symptoms similar to chemical poisoning (e.g.
Avatar m tn Ferrous ascorbate is anytime better than feredetate because on breaking of the molecule ferrous Ascorbate leave iron and vitamin-c ,both of them are useful to the body.Secondly ferrous ascorbate is adviced after meals so that the pH of stomache is nearly neutral at that time. The charge of iron ion is shielded by ascorbate molecule and is easily transferred through stomache wall.
Avatar n tn sugar-alcohols amount to half-carbs (they DO break down to glucose eventually, so they are difficult to moderate...
535822 tn?1443976780 Check your GTF (glucose tolerance factor), usually linked to Chromium deficiencies, in regards to higher glucose levels in your blood, and a possible connection to a Magnesium deficiency. It takes 56 molecules of Mg to process 1 molecule of glucose. They're usually all connected.
