Common Questions and Answers about Glucose levels in sheep

glucose

I posted this in 2010........ I now know holy basil does indeed lower blood glucose as I have tested it in the AM fasting many times now (bought a cheap meter). Only issue is HB is kind of hard on the stomach. Dont like burping HB two hours after taking it.
OK, glucose levels are pretty easy to explain. Since you posted on the type 2 forum I'm going to assume you want t2 figures. You also didn't tell us where you're from so I'm posting both measurement values - USA is mg/dl, Europe mmol/l. First thing in morning before breakfast is called preprandial. Normal levels are 60/70 to 99 mg/dl, or 3.33/3.88 to 5.5 mmol/l Prediabetes levels are 100 to 125 mg/dl, or 5.55 to 6.94 mmol/l Above the above is considered diabetes.
In addition, your daily glucose average based upon A1c 6.0 = 126 mg/dl 6.6 = 143 mg/dl This says you are not doing a good job of keeping your diabetes under control. As sally stated, focus on lifestyle changes.
Kenney was originally referred to the nephrologist by his endocrinologist (diabetic specialist) at the Joslin Clinic because of kidney damage that resulted from poorly controlled diabetes (very high glucose readings) in spite of maximum medical management. In fact, Jim was taking a total of 175 units of insulin per day when he came in to my office for the first time in January.
Production of testosterone in females begins to decline as a woman begins to approach menopause and in males it begins to decline in his forties. Blood levels of testosterone increase with exercise in both males and females beginning about 20 minutes into an exercise session, and blood levels may remain elevated for one to three hours after exercise.'' Anyway I'm not going to go thru all the hormones and how they can help depression but you can see by yourself on the website.
Adiponectin was significantly increased at both 6 and at 12 months (p 3× the upper limit of normal for 2 weeks) were observed in any subjects. Fasting glucose did not change significantly, but glycated hemoglobin showed a small increase in the NA group versus placebo (p = 0.02 at 6 months, p = 0.07 at 12 months). Blood pressure and body mass index did not change significantly in either group." Both groups were on statins.
9na, you're right my baseline level of 20 was 20 ng/mL which must be how the levels are measured in the States -- but chin up many people with levels of 13 have good results with supplements -- I have one friend who had a level of 4 another 9...David, I don't know what to tell you I'm kind of in your situation but not quite as I'm old (61) and have other findings however, my major metabolic finding is low vitamin D.
Food Sources Of Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) ALA is found in many foods, however in most foods it is present in very low levels.
The reason that reflexes are checked as a part of Mag sulfate administration, is that decreased reflexes are a sign of a build up of Mg to toxic levels in the bloodstream. However, it takes quite a long time to get to this point--hours, at least of continuous administration. Usually, Mg levels are drawn every 6 to 8 hours during administration. Mg sulfate can be QUITE irritating to the vein.
A high glycemic index food such as pop or chips will spike your blood glucose levels very quickly causing a necessary surge of insulin to be released by your pancreas in order to absorb the glucose... The hormone insulin may affect your sebaceous glands. So in a sense... diet does affect your acne... but not as some people portray it to... However I have read many many reports by people saying that dairy products may have an affect on acne. Maybe in people who are lactose intolerant...
Jill Smith of the Hershey medical center who did the phase 1 clinicals on LDN and Crohn's disease (2/3 in total remission in 3 weeks on LDN). She is interested in doing a pilot study of LDN on hep c patients. Dr. Berkson has been using a combination of LDN and IV alpha lipoic acid for his hep c patients for a long time with very good results. My doctor is not Dr. Berkson, but Dr.
None of the REs are doing bloodwork because the studies published, other than CASSON in 2000 didn't track blood levels so they have nothing to go on. I tracked my blood for almost 2 years and 4 cycles. Please trust me tracking your blood is important and you need to just be firm and tell them you want it. They will give it to you if you demonstrate determination.
Last year I got married, bought a house, and became a step mom all within two months! Guess when all of my symptoms started, May, the wedding was in June, house purchase in April, oh and I turned 30 in April too. Maybe all of this was too much for me at once, but it was kind of delayed symptoms if that makes sense? I would love to take the effexor and be done with it, but something inside of me is saying to try the natural herbal way first.
I'm a 31yr old male non smoker non drinker in Florida, overweight (5'6 215lb), but otherwise no history of disease. I have been lightheaded on and off for the past 6 months. Not dizzy or spinning per say, its more like I have balance issues or fatigue or something. Seems to affect me mostly when I am walking around. Doesn't usually bother me when sitting or driving. But I really notice it when doing things that involve a lot of walking (like shopping).
I've actually gone to the store in the past and left again without it, becaue I just couldn't bring myself to go to the cash register!!! I know, I'm a moron ;) Why does a short luteal phase make a difference? I remember reading about the luteal phase but I can't remember many details.....
You can also mix 60 gm of grind pumpkin seeds (with the peel) with honey and water. Eat the mixture in 3 portions every 2 hours. It is said to be the best solution for pinworms. 3 - Make sure to include garlic and lots of spices (especially curry) in every single meal you cook, also swallowing one garlic a day (as a whole, like a pill) helps too. You can also just eat 2-3 garlics a day. Another solution is adding honey to mashed garlic cloves and eating it 2-3 times a day for a week.
I'm sorry if I was offensive Emily but although this has nothing to do with medhelp, I've gotten fed up over the last decade with losing our rights in this country and people behaving like sheep. I believe in what I learned in school about freedom and liberty and right to speak one's mind. Yes, I know medhelp is private and some censorship may be necessary but I really wish medhelp would stop acting like they are the big parents and we are a bunch of unruly kids. Open debate is a good thing.
From what I understand, the seretonin issue is the biggest one, and that men and women react and need different levels, even in treatment. To the gal that is taking extascy, may I say that one of the combinations that can cause anxiety is the combination you listed. Can't take those kinds of drugs and not expect problems. Meds are probably needed, and finding the right one is a journey in itself. Biggest thing is to start slowly and give each drug time.
These results suggest that hCG may be a link in the development of peritrophoblastic immune tolerance and may facilitate the trophoblast invasion which is known to expedite fetal development in the endometrium.[1] It has also been suggested that hCG levels are linked to the severity of morning sickness in pregnant women.[2] Because of its similarity to LH, hCG can also be used clinically to induce ovulation in the ovaries as well as testosterone production in the testes.
-Amino acids tests - basically to extrapolate seratonin levels which will indicate if I have a muscle problem in relation to IBS muscle movements. Now I just have to wait for the test results to come in and hopefully try a few more meds depending on the results. I will let you guys know if there are any improvements or interesting conclusions. BTW guys that FBO guy has posted a questionaire on his website forum which he posted in the old PATM forum.
I finally did start my af on 7-1, but she took vacation the next day, but then showed up again and she is in full force. I got my hgc levels back today - I am down to 28. I think I will go back in at the end of this week to do another one and hopefully it is gone so i can do the folic acid and start trying again. I am hoping that I can have the hgs test done here in a few days too...but not sure if dr wants to wait until my next cycle. Believe - good luck with the tww....
