Avatar m tn I asked him if I should look into clinicals and he says I am already in a database. Apparently, I signed off on that when i first went. He is very gungho about clinicals and is linked to some database that has all of his patients info in it and when they are conducting clinical trials they can look at our particulars and see who might qualify. I wish all the oncs would do that. I will look at this info tomorrow when hopefully I won't be so brain dead. I do hope you are getting on well.
Avatar n tn CARBCHECK is a no frills application but does exactly what it says - it has a database of ADA Exchanges, Fast Food, and you can even customize the database if you have Micrsoft Excel. You select what you want and it displays the items and their carbs on the screen in a menu format. It's a work in progress and at the moment can't tally up the items you choose (Trode is working on that)- but for a quick index for meal (that you can add your own items to)it works in a pinch.

1666903 tn?1383332156 I have not had any glucose testing yet, but had the impression my glucose levels were creeping up (I have NIDD Type II). Started Lamictal a little over a month ago an gradually increased dose, on 100 mg now and my glucose is unquestionably elevated above 175, I am going in for a blood test to confirm this and ask my doc what to do about it. Both drugs are helping with my bipolar.
Avatar f tn ive got a gf that has herpes v1 could i fingerbang her without contracting it even if i have a cut on my finger.
Avatar n tn My wife found small sores in her genital area. She then made an appointment to get tested. When the nurse at Planned Parenthood said it looked like herpes. I went in to get tested. I thought at first, I somehow passed my HV1 to her through oral sex. I did mention to the nurse that I had a partner many years ago (16 years) whom had HV2. They said it can lay dormant for years. But, seeing I tested negative for HV2.... I'm assuming this could'nt have been passed on from me.
Avatar m tn I can tell you what FS indicates. It is fractional shortening. It is a ratio of the dimension of the left ventrical at peak filling to end of the pumping cycle. Above 30% is considered normal, 26-30% represents mild decrease in ejection fraction (weaker heart contraction. I know this by memory. I don't know the other values. With every report I have received, the report provides the normal range. That is done because each lab may may have different parameters.

Avatar f tn I'm a young woman with QS pattern in v1-v2. Doc says it's likely a normal variant. I'm asymptomatic with no risk factors. This was my first ecg and was just an incidental finding (ecg was for work). Turns out my mom has an abnormal ecg as well with QS in v1-v4 and poor rwave progression. Again no risk factors and asymptomatic. We both got echos and they were normal. Thoughts?
Avatar f tn This month I have an EKG and results or interpretation reads regular sinus rhythm, septa l wall ischemia, poor-R wave progression,V1-V2..,...Please kindly let me know more or explain to me the result....
Avatar f tn I started out tired in the fall. Now I have a goiter and suffer from internal shaking (head, arms, legs). Exercise aggravates the problem. I stopped taking birth control pills in March. However, since June I haven't had a menstrual cycle, and my estrogen is high. Can anyone help with these lab results? My endocrinologist has me all over the place--neurologist, sleep study, lab work, ENT--no answers. January: TSH .784 (.350-5.

Avatar f tn In a series of nine studies published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Baumeister discovered that people with steady glucose levels were more persistent at attempting to complete an unsolvable task than those whose glucose levels declined during the experiments. "Increase your blood glucose and you can fuel your willpower," he says. You can create glucose from fruit, many vegetables, whole grains, and dairy products.
Avatar f tn It showed T-wave Flattenings flat or low negative T in AVF with negative in T III another showed St deviation in lead III -18, aVR -28, V1 -25, V3-15, V4-18. Troponin was on normal ref range 0-32 mine was 32 and CK was elevated at 170 ref range was 1-150. Doctors wanted to give antithrombolytic but I refused. Again this really means nothing to me and the doctors did not seem concerned with the results at the time. Since my current (and much more thorough) doctors are talking about another LP in my near future, I though it best to get these records from the hospital where I had the procedure done.
