glucose

Avatar f tn Glucose intolerance is when the body does not utilise the glucose in your body properly and the fasting blood glucose level is above 6.0 mmol/L or your blood glucose level is over 7.8 mmol/L 2 hours after consuming 75g of glucose. At this stage, with life style changes and exercises, you can still avoid getting diabetes. You could say it is pre diabetes. The symptoms of glucose intolerance can be those of hyperglycaemia and also tingling sensations.
Avatar n tn Women with PCOS have an increased risk for diabetes or glucose intolerance or insulin resistance. If you are obese with increased body mass index and if you lose weight, exercise and eat a good glycemic index diet then you can improve your PCOS. If you have diabetes or glucose intolerance then Metformin can help you as well to control your blood sugars. Therefore there is a lot you can you with diet, exercise, weight loss to improve your condition.
Avatar m tn What are your Free T3 and Free T4 levels? Please post them, with reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report. TSH does not cause or alleviate symptoms. It's the actual thyroid hormones that cause (or alleviate) symptoms, with Free T3 correlating best. Your A1c indicates that you have diabetes and that's what's causing your symptoms of frequent urination, weight loss, etc. Are you keeping track of your daily fasting blood sugars?
Avatar m tn My Tsh came back at .49 from 1.93 where I feel great! In 15 I never had an issue! I am due to get full panel thyroid tests in 3 weeks!
Avatar n tn bacterial overgrowth was negative, lactose intolerance was negative but fructose intolerance was positive. My control number was 11 and the end number was 44...I was told anything resulting in +20 (so mine would be 31) is positive. Okay, so here are my questions...what does the 44 mean (if anything) low intolerance, high intolerance?
Avatar m tn I would suggest that you make an appointment to see your doctor and ask if you can have a glucose intolerance test and do a HBA1C blood test. a HBA1C blood test will show the average glucose levels in the blood stream over a period of approximately 3 months. It may be that you have an insulin intolerance. This means that your pancreas is producing insulin, but this is not being used adequately by your body.
Avatar f tn I have a glucose intolerance so all they did for me was fasting bloodwork... had me eat and took my blood again in two hours...
Avatar f tn I failed the one hour and passed 3 out of the four blood tests they took during the 3 hour. They called it glucose intolerance and made me go to nutritional counseling. I think a lot of people fail the one hour. Don't stress yet.
1448936 tn?1363206346 My doc ordered a few more tests for me and I'm just trying to figure out what the tests might be looking for. I know they're looking for a lactose and gluten intolerance but not sure about the rest. If anyone knows what some of these are and can shed some light on them thatd be great.
Avatar n tn and monitor her for glucose intolerance, ask the doctor to give you details of how to manage it when she has the results of the tests .
356929 tn?1246389756 Just FYI... I was on the Ovarian cyst forum and noticed the "addiction" entry.. The same entry is on this journal site as well .. I don't think anyone is deliberately posting over here or there. I 'm wondering if it shows up on ALL community journals in which you have membership. Try it yourself and you'll see.. I put a journal entry on the OVCyst form and here it is--- over here as well.. I didn't enter it here...curioser and curioser...
186166 tn?1385259382 I disagree. Journals aren't the problem. It's how they are used. Used right and they can be a helpful resource. (please check my earlier journals about autism and my dad's (MJthewriterdad) journals). But true, some journals and notes are better off as personal messages, espcially some of the comments.
535822 tn?1443976780 I suggest before you blast my journals you take a look back your own and the moods,, that you guys have put up, are you saying you have not done the same....thats a stretch guys and you know it .I suggest that all here look at some of the journals if they are still there .,hypocritical .
Avatar m tn Sine you just updated, now I cannot add anything to my journals. What am I doing wrong?
1244257 tn?1270537562 Hola, desde la última actualización, no puedo acceder a mis "journals", ni escribir en ellos. ¿Cómo puedo abrirlos?
Avatar f tn Check his blood glucose levels and get back to me.

Avatar n tn Hi I'm 31 weeks. I've had my glucose intolerance test and came back negative but I am so thirsty at night :-( so much so that I can't sleep. Really struggling. Has anyone else had this and if so how have u combated the problem?
Avatar m tn s long term, it can be lactose intolerance or fructose malabsorption. Barnyard smell is typical for Clostridium difficile overgrowth. Sulphur gas is from bacteria, which decompose sulphur in the food. In this later case, avoiding sulphur-rich foods (check my journals) helps.
Avatar m tn That is to high. Get glucose intolerance test done. U could be insulin resistance/ pre diabetic control why I still can. I'm 30 last yr found out I'm insulin resistance and have PCOS. My dad his dad and 4 siblings all have diabetes. Good luck to you!
