Avatar f tn Glucose intolerance is when the body does not utilise the glucose in your body properly and the fasting blood glucose level is above 6.0 mmol/L or your blood glucose level is over 7.8 mmol/L 2 hours after consuming 75g of glucose. At this stage, with life style changes and exercises, you can still avoid getting diabetes. You could say it is pre diabetes. The symptoms of glucose intolerance can be those of hyperglycaemia and also tingling sensations.
Avatar f tn Pediatric patients with chronic upper gastrointestinal symptoms may have underlying orthostatic intolerance. In patients with upper gastrointestinal symptoms and orthostatic intolerance, treatment of orthostatic intolerance may result in resolution of gastrointestinal symptoms." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15795588 Also: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15944872 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15710782 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
143746 tn?1301274822 Nevertheless I have had many symptoms of dysautonomia, such as lightheadedness, weakness, muscle aches, palpitations, shortness of breath, disregulation of temperature, nausea and other gastrointestinal symptoms, loss of appetite, dilated pupils at inappropriate times, fatigue, headaches, tachycardia, postural orthostatic tachycardia, sleep disorders, numbness, parasthesia, light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, and "reactive hypoglycemia" with normal glucose levels.
Avatar m tn In fact i experience orthostatic intolerance, hot/cold intolerance, digestive problems, excessive sweating, psychological symptoms and tremors. What i notice is many symptoms go practically into remission with intermittent fasting, for example fasting 17 hours and eating in a 7 hours window time. Now, ET is correlated with some degree of hypothalamic dysfunction, and hypothalamus could be easily related with AD.
Avatar f tn Without fueling your body, you might not be able to exercise as long or as intensely, or you may have less energy or even dizziness if your blood glucose level drops. You may also tend to overeat after you exercise or later on in the day. Your body breaks down the food you eat into glucose in your blood, or as stored energy called glycogen in your liver and muscles. Having glucose provides you with energy production for your workout.

Avatar f tn Definitely talk to a doctor, but please look into gluten intolerance . I had terrible symptoms for over a a decade, hard to say when it started, but my labs are usually abnormal, positive Ana, high rbc, weird shaped blood cells, I had so many symptoms, rashes, pain, gastrointestinal things, tingling.
Avatar f tn Hello, I have a variery of probelms, Lupus and Gluten intolrent being the main ones. I recently went for a food intolerance test which showed that I also have a possible intolerance to Lactose. I started using Lacofree milk instead of ordinary cows milk and noticed that the white hairy coating on my tongue has reduced and almost gone. Although I have not cut lactose out of my diet completely and this may be why its not gone completely.
2075728 tn?1331768901 Shortness of breath, abdominal cramping and excessive mucus are all listed symptoms of a possible food allergy or food intolerance. Allergies show up on labs tests, intolerances do not. An elimination diet is how to pinpoint food intolerance/s. An autoimmune disease called celiac disease should be ruled out. Also test for thyroid hormones. A few ideas to go with.
Avatar m tn What are your Free T3 and Free T4 levels? Please post them, with reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report. TSH does not cause or alleviate symptoms. It's the actual thyroid hormones that cause (or alleviate) symptoms, with Free T3 correlating best. Your A1c indicates that you have diabetes and that's what's causing your symptoms of frequent urination, weight loss, etc. Are you keeping track of your daily fasting blood sugars?
Avatar m tn My Tsh came back at .49 from 1.93 where I feel great! In 15 I never had an issue! I am due to get full panel thyroid tests in 3 weeks!
Avatar n tn My blood sugar levels have gradually increased from normal to above normal in last one year. As per test three weeks back, my fasting glucose was 115 and PP was 150. My doctor told to control diet and exercise. However, during this period I am having problems with my digestion. Initially my doctor thought it was infections and he prescribed anti-biotics. However the problem persists. After taking food the symptoms change from sweating to uneasyness to mild pain and gas.
Avatar n tn bacterial overgrowth was negative, lactose intolerance was negative but fructose intolerance was positive. My control number was 11 and the end number was 44...I was told anything resulting in +20 (so mine would be 31) is positive. Okay, so here are my questions...what does the 44 mean (if anything) low intolerance, high intolerance?
Avatar m tn I would suggest that you make an appointment to see your doctor and ask if you can have a glucose intolerance test and do a HBA1C blood test. a HBA1C blood test will show the average glucose levels in the blood stream over a period of approximately 3 months. It may be that you have an insulin intolerance. This means that your pancreas is producing insulin, but this is not being used adequately by your body.
Avatar f tn On my return trip to the doctor he checked me for parasites and redid my glucose test which was only at 57 after eating. They tested for blastocystis hominis in three different samples all of which were positive. The doctor put me on Flagyl which I was only able to take for three days because of severe adverse side affects.
Avatar f tn I have a glucose intolerance so all they did for me was fasting bloodwork... had me eat and took my blood again in two hours...
Avatar f tn s disease, my grandmother has diverticulitis and my Father is just lactose intolerant. So gastrointestinal issues run in our family, however no matter how many tests I have, the doctors can't diagnose it. I've had gluten, fructose and lactose intolerance tests done, ultra sounds, blood tests(which mostly come back with slightly elevated inflammation), upper and lower gastric scopes, and radiology tests. Which have all turned up nothing. Yet the symptoms are there.
Avatar n tn It doesn't matter if the milk is warm or cold, if you have a true intolerance to it, it will effect you the same way. There are many other gastrointestinal disorders that can cause diarrhea. My advice to you is to see a doctor, but unfortunately with no health insurance, that can be a big problem.
Avatar f tn I failed the one hour and passed 3 out of the four blood tests they took during the 3 hour. They called it glucose intolerance and made me go to nutritional counseling. I think a lot of people fail the one hour. Don't stress yet.
1448936 tn?1363206346 My doc ordered a few more tests for me and I'm just trying to figure out what the tests might be looking for. I know they're looking for a lactose and gluten intolerance but not sure about the rest. If anyone knows what some of these are and can shed some light on them thatd be great.
Avatar f tn If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if food intolerance and/or allergies mimic the pain of various neuropathies. Food intolerance, only if it contains gluten. The association that I am aware is that of neuropathy secondary to gluten sensitivity. The following is excerpted from a report in the medical literature and is illustrative of this phenomenon. Sensory ganglionopathy due to gluten sensitivity (CME) Hadjivassiliou, M. MD; Rao, D.G. MD; Wharton, S.B.
Avatar n tn and monitor her for glucose intolerance, ask the doctor to give you details of how to manage it when she has the results of the tests .
Avatar f tn Check his blood glucose levels and get back to me.
