Avatar f tn Glucose intolerance is when the body does not utilise the glucose in your body properly and the fasting blood glucose level is above 6.0 mmol/L or your blood glucose level is over 7.8 mmol/L 2 hours after consuming 75g of glucose. At this stage, with life style changes and exercises, you can still avoid getting diabetes. You could say it is pre diabetes. The symptoms of glucose intolerance can be those of hyperglycaemia and also tingling sensations.
Avatar m tn I would suggest that you make an appointment to see your doctor and ask if you can have a glucose intolerance test and do a HBA1C blood test. a HBA1C blood test will show the average glucose levels in the blood stream over a period of approximately 3 months. It may be that you have an insulin intolerance. This means that your pancreas is producing insulin, but this is not being used adequately by your body.

Avatar n tn If you have diabetes or glucose intolerance then Metformin can help you as well to control your blood sugars. Therefore there is a lot you can you with diet, exercise, weight loss to improve your condition. If you are not obese and do not have any of the glucose intolerance issues then it is more difficult because weight loss will obviously not help.

Avatar m tn Less pressure means less glucose and oxygen to brain so the brain will get your head a ground level so that it can get the needed glucose and oxygen which is why people faint...........High blood pressure will most likely cause a headache, but then again anything is possible. I keep my pressure low with 400 mg magnesium, 5 grams time release vitamin c, cayenne pepper capsules, walking about 30 minutes daily, and 10 mg Lisinopril.
Avatar f tn My daughter's (age 11) has blood pressure of 110/54. She as lively as ever. If the blood pressure drops to in the 40's then it may be getting low. The 145 is actually high. My husband has high blood pressure, so we all take our blood pressure a lot.
Avatar m tn Common- acne- muscle weakness, Depression, anxiety and irritability, Decreased libido (maybe my mental illness or side effects of medications? Or both, it was not too bad when I was on them), Glucose intolerance I have to rest/nap for a while after eating anything that is high in sugar. I don’t know why maybe because of the pills. These pills do mess up your sugar metabolism when you come off it.
Avatar f tn Ive had and endoscopy, colonoscopy, cat scan, xray, multiple blood tests, allergy tests, diabetes test, fructose intolerance test and the doctors haven found anything except lactose intolerance. I tried an IBS diet but that did nothing to alleviate my symptoms (it might have even made the worse especially the bloating). ive tried cutting out dairy and gluten from my diet and nothing works. The pain is so bad that ive had to miss 15% of school this year.
390388 tn?1279636213 Being diabetic and having lots of heart trouble and high blood pressure issues myself, I can tell you that a fasting glucose reading of 200 would get my attention in a New York minute. Your arteries are becoming inflamed at that reading and you will start to experience high blood pressure as well as be at risk for blood clots in your heart arteries.

452066 tn?1400626877 First of all, I am not a diabetic, but would like to learn more about it and blood sugar levels due to a severe arrhythmia problem I have(also have an implanted defibrillator) and I am tired of talking til I am blue in the face to doctors and I feel there may be a link to either my glucose levels or hormones. I have been seen by 2 endocrinologists and both said I am fine...BUT they have told me that my insulin production is very high but they won't do anything about it.
Avatar f tn It appears you have had quite an extensive cardiac work up and normal blood pressure response when standing. The fogginess of the brain sensation is obviously a very non-specific finding, and in addition to your cardiac testing, you have had a litany of blood work which has been relatively normal. Without any further information, I am not sure I can suggest any further testing. I am assuming you had a blood glucose test at the time of feeling ill? Was this low or normal?
Avatar f tn Check his blood glucose levels and get back to me.
Avatar f tn Being overweight with more weight around the belly area, and high blood pressure, is also another risk factor to getting diabetes. You can minimise your risks by eating healthily and doing some form of exercise - walking is fine or any type of exercise that you enjoy. Exercising uses up energy and burns calories.

My Endo doctor where I live would not remove the tumor because he didn't feel it was bad enough. He wanted to just watch it. I contacted Norman Parathyroid Clinic and went there. I am glad I did. My doctor says my body will always have POTS tendencies but I am doing remarkably well.
