Avatar f tn Ladies, I came across this article while reading the news on yahoo. I do not think it is right that they would not tell what formula's were studied. ATLANTA - Traces of a chemical used in rocket fuel were found in samples of powdered baby formula, and could exceed what's considered a safe dose for adults if mixed with water also contaminated with the ingredient, a government study has found. The study by scientists at the U.S.
212161 tn?1599427282 This is the eAG [estimated Average Glucose] formula to convert an A1c to daily mg/dl glucose levels. 28.7 x A1c - 46.7 =eAG Using the above formula an A1c of 5.3% equates to 105.41 mg/dl, which is prediabetes.
Avatar n tn Potassium nitrate is a chemical compound with the formula KNO3. It occurs as a mineral niter and is a natural solid source of nitrogen. Its common names include saltpetre (saltpeter in American English), from Medieval Latin sal petræ: "stone salt" or possibly "Salt of Petra" and nitrate of potash. The name Peru saltpetre or Chile saltpetre (American Peru saltpeter or Chile saltpeter) refers not to potassium nitrate but to a similar chemical sodium nitrate.
Avatar n tn Hello Worthy, You came to a good place to get some answers and I find a few questions embedded in your posting. I'm not a physician, but I have had diabetes for ~35 years. Often we diabetics will lose weight if our blood sugars are running consistently high. The reason is that, since the sugar is "swimming" in our blood and not nourishing our other cells (muscles, skin, organs), we urinate out lots of calories taht we consume.
Avatar f tn So i want to find out the chemical formula for PATM so there could be some universal cure if we do find the compound. So far i have these bullet points: -Lighter than air -Has Carbon, Nitrogen, and or Hydrogen -Low evaporation temperature I say all this because from my experience people shorter than me dont get reactions because i got rid of patm on my body but not my hair. Also i noticed a trend where people have TMAU before they got patm and the chemical formula for TMAU is NC3H9.
Avatar m tn thanks a lot for that formula was just looking for that. Indeed it appears IR is a major factor. I am wondering why that is not being checked routinely. I just did pre tx baseline bloods. Do you think IR was on the labsheet ? Nope, just caught that last minute by reading about IR on UK forum and put it on the labsheet myself. And than I being told that the hepatologist I am with is one of the best. you can be ir without symptoms so there is no way to know unless you test for it.
Avatar f tn I would say that there could be a relation yes, at least theoretically, but an endocrinologist would be able to answer this question correctly.
Avatar n tn Would jogging and running (at 80-84% mhr) 60 minutes a day six times a week increase the sugar level(in person who has normal fasting <105 glucose) and is there a risk of 46 year old male developing diabetes in the future as result of exercising very hard at the above FIT level?Should person exercise at lower intensity(even though he can exercise at higher intensity) for prevention of developing diabetes in the future?
Avatar m tn , then reduce or cut your carb to this formula (10, 20, 20). To understand this formula read this book:"Diabetes solutions" by Dr.Richard Beirstein or go google his formula. If you have been consuming 2 cans of soda drink daily for the last 10 then you are likely a pre-daibetic 2 or already diabetic 2. Sadly any pre-diabetic 2 will b come one sooner or later. The inexpensive way to find out about your A1C is purchasing a home-test kit called A1C NOW at Walsgreen or Walmart .
Avatar f tn That water is perfectly good for making up formula. Or buy pre-mixed liquid formula -- handy but a lot more bulky and expensive than powdered.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with type 2 on about Aug 1. My last a1c on Sept 23 was 7.7%. I have been home monitoring since Oct 3 daily alternating fpg and ppg. My average reading is 7.6 mmol. Using the formula 1.583 x a1c -2.52 = eAG and solving for a1c, my indicated a1c is <6.5%. Can I assume my last lab test will yield close to 6.5%? I will get the result this Friday. Just need a little confidence booster.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if vegetarian formula vitamin B12 was as effective as non-vegetarian vitamins.
Avatar f tn I just had pest control people come to spray at my house today. I totally forgot that it might have side effect to my little baby, especially I'm just 6 weeks pregnant. I read online they said the chemical will stop or slow down baby's development. Will it be that bad? I had no direct exposure to the chemical tho. I'm so worried.
Avatar n tn My fasting glucose results (Glucose Plasma-Hexokinase), three in last three months have been in the range of 108-120 mg/dL (normal range 70 - 100). In my last test I also got the HbA1c checked, it is: High Performance Liquid Chromatography-HPCL = 5.5 % (normal range 4.27 -6.07) The question is that fasting glocose test is indicating high glucose level but HbA1c in reasonably below the max. value. Which one is to be relied upon? Shall I be concerned at these glucose levels? Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn Some doctors may say this is OK while others who understand the eAG [estimated Average Glucose] formula know it is unhealthy to remain at this level. To understand the eAG in relation to an A1c result use this manual formula: [calculators can be located online] 28.7 X A1C – 46.7 = eAG in mg/dl or 1.583 X A1c - 2.52 = eAG in mmol/l In your case abhimanyu64, your 6.2% A1c is equivalent to having a daily average glucose level of 131.24 mg/dl. 28.7 X 6.2 - 46.7 = 131.
968908 tn?1274871115 The findings of a recent large study have confirmed what smaller studies have shown that A1C really does represent an average glucose because we now have a reliable formula to convert A1C into average glucose [eAG = estimated Average Glucose]. Until labs provide patients eAG results use this formula to convert your A1c to eAG. eAG(mg/dl) = (28.7 x A1c) – 46.7 eAG(mmol/l) = (1.59 × A1C) − 2.
Avatar f tn My baby is one week old formula fed and has been having frequent bowel movements until yesterday all day she was having a hard time pooping.
Avatar f tn Just need help on this idk what brand to trust after finding out johnson and johnson has a chemical in it that causes cancer.
