Avatar f tn I never had hcg levels done... I got tested for syphilis, HIV, hep B, hep C, carrier status for cystic fibrosis, SPA, and one other thing I can't remember, my blood type and rH factor, immunity to measles, rubella, parvovirus, and chickenpox as well as my oral glucose tolerance test.
Avatar n tn You would think that if anything, your glucose levels should be higher than normal if you have OSA or UARS, since your stress responses are by definition elevated. Your glucose levels after the challenge are lower than normal, with low insulin levels as well. It's important to note that there are many other variables that can artificially lower your glucose readings, such as certain antidepressants, certain digestive problems, Addison's, thyroid problems, and many others.

910435 tn?1296748610 People with this type tend to rise in the morning with higher than normal blood glucose levels, and after eating may have a drop in blood glucose levels. I call it a reverse spin cycle [no pun intended]. A lot of doctors have not been made aware or just do not know how to treat LADA. Frequent testing before meals and after meals to see how foods affect your blood glucose is a must. Bad carbs and starches are bad guys so pay strict attention to the intake. Do you have a home glucose meter?
Avatar f tn Yes, stress can play a role with elevated glucose levels and so does an uncontrolled lipid panel and high blood pressure. Interactions with other medications comes to mind, lack of daily exercise and not following a diabetes diet all play major roles with higher than normal glucose levels.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have a Pituitary tumor and elevated Prolactin. Recently i found out i get hypoglycemic few hours after eating. I'm a carrier of a Hereditary Fructose Intolerance gene so i thought that was the cause of the low blood sugar. After cutting out all fructose from my diet i still get hypoglycemia. After ingesting pure glucose my sugar goes up and then drops low even faster after 2 hours.
Avatar m tn I am a healthy carrier of HBV and have been taking viread for more than 1 year. The latest blood test showed that HBV DNA was below the detection limit. I came to malaysia to work recently and after I came here, I tried to get viread and seems i could not find it anywhere. My doctor recommand that I can take Baraclude, but I am a little worried. I saw in the old post, that people take both, but for my case, by just pure change from one to another, will there be any side effect?
Avatar m tn The hepatitis tests came back negative. The result of the hemochromatosis test was that I’m a genetic carrier of the disease but that it was unlikely it would ever effect my health and the only thing I could do was avoid taking iron pills. They also said if I were to have children to have my partner checked for the disease because our kids could possibly become sick.
Avatar f tn Not really. I have Type I and my glucose levels elevate if I don't eat. Her body is trying to send her sugar for energy (and food), so her levels are going to be up. Start having her eat low-sugar snacks every couple of hours, and try to eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day. In any case, a visit to the doctor can't hurt!
1056851 tn?1318720978 Long term disability policies differ substantially from one another in some respects so it's important to read the policy that covers you. FYI Many group policies provide coverage based on the "own/regular occupation" definition for the first two years and revert to an "any occupation" definition thereafter (i.e. any occupation for which you are reasonably qualified by training, experience, and education).
11165184 tn?1429569382 The only time my blood was taken was when I chose to have a test done in which they drawl blood to see if I was a carrier for something (I don't remember..lol..probably bc it was neg!) and when I had my glucose test done. But I'm 34 weeks and 4 days so I'm not too sure in how everything else works just quite yet..sorry wish I knew more!
Avatar m tn has anyone with hyperthyroidism had the experience of having their symptoms somewhat alleviated by eating? I have this occur everyday, my symptoms are worse in the morning than at mid day and only begin to subside after eating; they almost never completely go away but become more tolerable. Then near bed time they again become very strong until I get up and eat something again.

Avatar f tn Thank you...I do trust your judgement and am very relieved for us, but he has been sexually involved with her for years while she was HIV positive and even had a child together. However, after we met three years ago, he was no longer sexually involved with her from that time until her death. Is there any special reason why he is still testing negative? what would be the time frame for this window period in such a long episode of exposure?
