Avatar f tn I've never used formula but I'm a water purest. I only drink filtered water. I had a reverse osmosis but moved recently and husband hasn't installed it yet. 523927 tn?1257018704 What are the thoughts on RO water? I read good and bad on the Web about RO water and how it's important to keep your body from becoming too acidic. However, there seems to be a fair amount of info about how your body can control pH levels to keep it from becoming acidic and that drinking RO water should not have any negative effects. RO water seems to be less of an issue when you consider the fluids that we do drink on a daily basis that are much more acidic.

Avatar f tn They are definitively not the same as plain water and can add a lot of calories and big glucose spike which is probably not good if you are borderline diabetic. On the other hand I don't see any conflicting information about water. You can stay well hydrated by sticking to plain water. Good luck!

599170 tn?1300973893 My friends use the portable device and simply attach it to the faucet in the kitchen and filter a large water pitcher or two at a time. They use a plastic container and just keep it in the refrigerator when they're not using it. They've moved a couple of times while using this device and just take it with them. I've been using the water filter that is sold by Walgreens that is actually Culligan's Spring. It's an improvement over just drinking directly out of the tap.
Avatar m tn For about a few months now, the inside of my chest/ esophagus burns every time I drink water. My family has a reverse osmosis filter in the house, and they refuse to get it checked. (Tap water is too salty to drink in my area). An hour ago I insisted that they have it checked and they started flipping out for whatever reason. I'm just curious what this could be? It has occasionally happened with other sources of water, but never bottled water.

Avatar f tn Besides the foods that were the problem for her specifically, which I am not sure all of which the foods were, one huge thing they both did was to use reverse osmosis filtered water for all cooking and drinking. In fact, before they used any dish to eat or drink from that someone else brought over or if someone else had been helping with the housework and had washed dishes, they would rinse everything once more with the filtered water before using.
Avatar m tn Cortizone 10, contains 1% hydrocortisone). Didn't help. Tried "squeezing" the swollen tissue, didn't help. During the day I felt slight pain in the pubic hair area above the penis and below the belly button. Otherwise no pain. No problem with urinating. Couldn't find a way to upload a real picture, but it looks very much like paraphimosis. However as I said, I am circumcised. What do you think the reason can be?

Avatar m tn I played an instrument in school, saxophone, which added weight to my neck and I think this was also a contributing factor and could be causing issues with the spinal fluid neurological system. I recall seeing a chiropractor when I was in high school and he had no hope it could be corrected. 3. I had a car accident and took unprescribed pain pills, prescribed muscle relaxers, and then used recreational drugs as well. This also could be a contributing factor the cluster F*&^ is my posture.
Avatar f tn t produce enough of the Thyroid hormone. And I also know that when I had the Glucose test my thyroid levels may have been off because my doctor just adjusted my medication. So should I just no worry as much as retest Glucose after I get Thyroid under control or should I start cutting back on certain foods. I probably should cut back anyway since I am overweight but with Thyroid levels being off I probably won't loose weight anyway.
Avatar n tn s main ingredient is prednisolone, which is a corticosteroid [not be confused with Anabolic steroids], and it may/does raise glucose levels? Did you discuss the length of usage with the eye surgeon and also inform him/her you are diabetic? Depending on length your elevated morning glucose may be short lived. You might consider discussing with your Pharmacist an alternative eye drop that doesn't affect your glucose levels, then call your physician.
Avatar f tn I was treated for endometriosis and HPV (high-risk, precancerous cells) last year in March and told I have dyssynergia and vaginismus. My brain MRIs show nonspecific white matter disease - but I'm told this is insignificant. I do not have nor have I ever had itching or any form of incontinence. I am told I do not retain urine and do not have interstitial cystitis. No other STDs, infections, etc. have been found. What could be going on?
Avatar f tn I had a result like that on my blood tests, too. I happened to see the neurologist not long after and she said it wasn't a bad result, it just meant that my kidneys were healthy. I guess a high result means your kidneys are malfunctioning or at least something weird is going on with them. Or at least that's what I got from what she said in passing, could be totally wrong!
