I've had pain in my knees here and there over the years but never thought to much of it. Now I have pain in my hips (started in the front/groin area and now also hurts in my lower butt upper hamstring area), and my back as well (mostly in my lower S.I. joint area and radiates up to the middle part of my back).

Avatar f tn Woke up with pain in joints and headach, dizziness, nausea, and a temp of 101. Then, all of this began to wane, and by late afternoon. All was fine. Temp dropped to 96.1 What in the world WAS that?
Avatar f tn Our bodies produce glucose from the carbs and sugar we eat. We need glucose for energy and insulin (called the fat storage hormone) is there to protect the body by not letting glucose get to high which in turn would cause diabetes. Glucose is needed in every cell of your body to function properly and insulin helps transport it there. The problem lies when we have more glucose than our cells of our body need.
Avatar m tn He is correct that vitamin deficiencies can cause pain in joints and muscles. It is always a good idea to check your glucose levels (insulin test). I am not an expert but I doubt that depression and stress would raise the CRP significantly if at all. Are you still taking the anti-inflammatory medications? If not you may want to request another prescription until they have found the source of your pain. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help.

Avatar m tn My symptoms are anxiety, pain in chest, hair loss, skipped monthly cycles, energy followed by extreme fatigue, pain in joints,. I dont know what to make of all of this and driving myself crazy looking it up, should i be worried that my Thyroglobulin level is so high?
Avatar m tn Exercise will also promote blood flow. Walking is an excellent exercise that does not put excess strain on the body, joints or limbs and helps to reduce glucose levels.
Avatar m tn Lack of pigmentation spots or blotches is called Vitaligo, and there is no cure yet besides small doses of ultraviolet radiation from a special light - its very con controversial due to the possibility of cancer., you have the opposite, I dont know the name. Autoimmune conditions many times present them selves in groups of three - even doctors are aware of this.
Avatar n tn anxiety can cause alot of physical symptoms and pain is one of them. i also have joint pain sometimes and back problems. i agree with michael though, you should have your dr. check this out to find out if it's anxiety or something else. take care.
Avatar m tn In January my joints began to pop and now 7 and half months later I'm starting to have floaters. I've had a CBC by my pcp and everything came out normal for my joints. No inflammation or pain and I'm still able to trail run 8+ miles with no problems. About two weeks ago (maybe 10 days) i started noticing floaters. I have visited two optometrists. One took care of the eye exam and the second did the dilation since I didn't have time during the initial visit.
Avatar n tn Hi Mum has had carbo and taxol 3 times (2005, 2006 and 2008) for reoccurances. She has found since the last lot in 2008 her joints especially her ankles and feet are painful. She can't walk very far and gets tired. Does anyone else have this? Is there anything that can help this?
Avatar n tn Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder that causes stiffness and pain in the joints. Osteoarthritis involves growth of bone spurs and degeneration of cartilage at a joint. It is very common in adults older than 45 and can cause joint pain. Joint pain may also be caused by bursitis (inflammation of the bursae). The bursae are fluid-filled sacs that cushion and pad bony prominences, allowing muscles and tendons to move freely over the bone.
Avatar m tn Popping or snapping with out any accompanying symptoms and no loss of function in the joint is normal and there is nothing to worry. But associated symptoms like pain, swelling, deformity if present then complete evaluation is required. The common causes could be arthritis, fractures and ligament tears. Is there any trauma preceeding this? If, NO then the cause for arthritis should be evaluated and treated accordingly. Best.
Avatar f tn I had some blood work done last week and my glucose came back as 111 and my sgpt level at 114. I have recent had severe abdominal pain which no doctor has diagnosed. I have been to ER twice for these pains. I also have constant digestive problems. Food goes straight through me, even have to use restroom halfway through eating a meal. I have constipation and diarrhea all the time, as well as being nauseous and gassy.
Avatar f tn so I did end up taking the glucose test, but not because I had it scheduled (because I did not) but because I asked if I can just do it already. its orange sodas twin, but flat. gave me bad heartburn though -_____- my dr. had asked about my last trip to the hospital when the dr. There even confirmed my SPD, and he said he doesnt believe it is that, but just ligament pains. WHAT....I know where my pains are, I know what I felt and ive described exactly what I felt popping in joints and all.
Avatar n tn I have been seeing a neurologist who thinks it may be Diabetic Neuropathy, since I had Gestational diabetes and family hx. I took the 3 hour glucose test and my 3rd hour came back low. I have had 3 cardiac ablations in the past year for SVT. I am on Toprol , Cardizem, Lexapro and Gabapentin. I had an EMG on my Left leg and that was also normal. Testing for Lupus, Mitochonrial, and Sjrogrens were all normal.
Avatar f tn I had the same issue with blinding killer headaches and talked to my Dr and she said Tylenol and lots of water but after going to my routine ob Dr approved trip to the chiropractic appointment my headaches disappeared. I have to go back weekly but I was told it is because when pregnant your joints and ligaments loosen and come out of alignment quicker and my neck gets really messed up...
521161 tn?1212365704 s -- may not be significant, but if a repeat is still high then would need an oral glucose tolerance test with measurements of growth hormone and glucose every 30 minutes for 3 hours -- the endo will know about this. A low 24h cortisol means you don't have Cushings. It does not mean there is an under-active adrenal. Would test parathyroid, thyroid, vitamin D and calcium if not already done.
Avatar f tn The latter may require seeing someone else. All are important with controlling and managing your glucose levels. Locate a Neurologist that specializes in peripheral Neuropathy [not all do]. Also a pain management specialist will help greatly. They have natural non-medication ways of dealing with pain. A doctor to consult on your arthritic condition is an Rheumatologist and possibly an Orthopedist. But most important of all fire your experimenting doctor.
Avatar f tn t produce enough of the Thyroid hormone. And I also know that when I had the Glucose test my thyroid levels may have been off because my doctor just adjusted my medication. So should I just no worry as much as retest Glucose after I get Thyroid under control or should I start cutting back on certain foods. I probably should cut back anyway since I am overweight but with Thyroid levels being off I probably won't loose weight anyway.
Avatar n tn s main ingredient is prednisolone, which is a corticosteroid [not be confused with Anabolic steroids], and it may/does raise glucose levels? Did you discuss the length of usage with the eye surgeon and also inform him/her you are diabetic? Depending on length your elevated morning glucose may be short lived. You might consider discussing with your Pharmacist an alternative eye drop that doesn't affect your glucose levels, then call your physician.
Avatar n tn You may need to consult an orthopedic specialist and get X-ray and maybe MRI of the feet, nerve conduction studies, blood glucose examination etc. Take care!
