Avatar f tn I been to a orthpedic surgeon wiyh my shoulder, he told me that he never saw a shoulder like mine. It hurts all the time. I have a pinched nerve and tendonitis, and a torn ligament or muscle. I'm hurting more now. I'm in physical therapy. Its hurting under my arm on the side as well as to the top and the back, its werid. Just wondering what I could do to help with the pain.
Avatar f tn I have had tendonitis in both feet, left shoulder, and right elbow. Rest, ice, and NSAIDs have really been my only way of overcoming each area. I am now battling tennis elbow in my dominant arm. It is keeping me from painting which is what I do. It is really frustrating. With a shoulder you want to move it to keep it from locking. The thing with a shoulder is the nerves go through this channel and when that swells it pinches down on the nerve and hurts.
Avatar n tn The most common of them are- Bursitis, Rotator cuff tendonitis, Rotator cuff tear, Frozen shoulder, Calcific tendonitis, Shoulder dislocation, shoulder arthritis or a nerve problem. Please go for X ray and MRI of the shoulder joint and consult an orthopedic surgeon and neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
489725 tn?1280052553 ways to treat/cure chronic shoulder tendonitis thats going on for over a year now with a lot of pain esp in the night time after use of shoulder tried almost everything
1007423 tn?1251204456 I also get a sharp pain in my arm between my shoulder and my elbow. My husband thinks its tendonitis...but with all my other things, I don't know, does this sound familiar to anyone?
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed last week with tendonitis in my right shoulder. My neck and shoulder area have been tight like tension, but found out it was muscle spasms. That has been for many years, here within the last year with the combination of tendonitis has made it hard to do a whole lot. I am overweight. I get very stiff if I sit down too long, and if I am standing or walk to much I am in a lot of pain. I have pain in my hip area both sides.
Avatar m tn In the last year or so, I have developed pain wiht typing. The pain occurs in the my shoulder, my neck and my upper back, especially in my shoulder blades and under my arms in the rib area. Also the pain seems to be worse on my right side from the side of my neck down to my right shoudler and shoulder blade. I also get a knot in the middle of my back. I have tried PT to strengthen my back, but with no help. The pain kept returning. I have tried antiinflammatories and muscle relaxers.
Avatar f tn I had surgery in february of this year for Tendonitis in my left shoulder. After the surgery the pain is worser than before, because I have burning and shouting pain at the front of my shoulder I need to know is that normal?
739070 tn?1338603402 Sorry Sunny, I don't think so. Levaquin is an antibiotic - a good one - but it has been connected with swelling and/or tearing of tendons. This side effect is more commonly seen in older people and those who have been taking steroids. (I'm not saying you fit either of those categories Ren!) I'm getting confused now though. Isn't brachialis tendonitis the medical name for tennis elbow. That's not the shoulder.
Avatar f tn Now After the surgery the pain is worser, I get tingling, sharp shoting pain from the shoulder to my elbow to the forearm. Afetr the surgery he said I did not have Tendonitis. 5 months after the surgery I took another MRI which show I still have Tendonitis/Tendon Tears and this time it's worser than before. My question is What did he do wrong to my shoulder?
Avatar f tn I had a mri done that showed I have tendonitis in my left shoulder. I can't raise my left arm up very high which makes washing my hair or brushing it extremely hard. I know I have bulging disc in c5 and c6 with nerve root damage in both. I could raise my arm before they found the tendonitis tho. I can't reach behind me with it either. It just won't move. This has added to the severe pain I already had. I am currently taking hydrocodone apap and zoloft as my meds.
5245618 tn?1365687749 Acording to my trainer i have tendonitis in my rotator cuff. Any ideas on how to ice and streach it? He is tapeing it during practice and games and that helps but still hurts like during school. And I have PE this semester and it hurts in some of the activities we do any ideas?
Avatar m tn My MRI on my right shoulder wo contrast shows some tendonitis only with no rotator cuff problems. Please explain this to me in lay terms please?
798555 tn?1292787551 I've had reoccurring tendonitis for years, witch I believe was brought on from Hashimotos thyroid disease. When my thyroid labs are at the levels that work best for me, tendonitis is minimal. It could be possible (likely) that I have scare tissue on various tendon areas (muscles too) from being hypothyroid for years, so I am continuously learning to improve this tightness condition.
Avatar n tn The other possibility is compression of a nerve at the shoulder joint. Arthritis of the shoulder joint or rotator cough injury could also be the cause but less likely. Tendonitis too is a possibility but will not cause numbness. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn Right arm burns frequently, right hand numbness and have tendonitis in right shoulder. L-3L-4L-5L6 minor narrowing. Have lower right sensitivity in my back and have done for several years, numb right foot. Dx’d sacroiliitis. Neck has started hurting when I turn my head or try to hold my head up straight. Hard to sleep due to discomfort. My last imaging was just a year ago, since then my neck has started cracking nearly every time I move my head.
Avatar f tn My question is, how could this tendonitis spread? Can tendonitis do this? If not, then what is affecting me? Could this be nerve, vein, or ligament damage? How could any of these types of pain be able to spread? Why does popping the joints cause (albeit minor) relief? Any sort of feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply, I was first told it was a rota cuff then a frozen shoulder then neuropathic pain then a shoulder impingement.......I had a mri scan but all that came back was mild tendonitis mild arthritis and evidence of 2 small bursa , my GP and pain clinic doctor said that the result of my scan does not warrant the amount of pain I am in. I have an appointment in oct to see a shoulder specialist hopefully he will help me.
676032 tn?1315674063 The supraspinatus is shoulder muscles lying between the superior part of the scapula (shoulder blade) and the upper part of the humerus (arm bone). Cystic changes could occur in injuries or in a few inflammatory conditions as well. You could correlate the findings with those mentioned in the previous post and also discuss these in detail with your doctor and the exact surgical procedure that you would be undergoing. Hope this is useful. Take care!
2105456 tn?1334365047 I don't want to get too nosey, but curious... where about is your tendonitis that's aching during sex? Has your doctor started any treatment for your tendonitis?
Avatar f tn CT shows rotator cuff tendonitis with impindgement. Heres the odd part, every so often my shoulder pain lvl will go from the normal constant 5 to a 10 and reddness, bruising and swelling starts. I have had more then my share of medical problems for my age but they are resloved. Please, i have a husband and four kids who need me workin at 100%. I need my life back but every dr says they dunno what to do.
Avatar f tn hi there, the various causes of right shoulder pain are bursitis, biceps tendon rupture, labrum tear, rotator cuff tendonitis, muscle spasm, pinched nerve and shoulder dislocation. Other possibilities are gall bladder disease, or gallstones, liver abscesses, disorders of esophagus; penetrating ulcer in stomach, pancreas, and frozen shoulder is a common cause for stiffness and pain in shoulder. This could also be a sign of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Avatar m tn since then the pain has remained with a sharp pain around my shoulder blade/neck area coupled with pins and needles in my wrist and fingers. my gp back in december referred me to a physio which is not proving fruitful as i believe it to be neurological - does anyone have similar symptoms or can tell me who is best to go to for treatment? thank you in advance?
