I wish I could get rid of both doctors, but I'm on Long term Dis. and switching now would be more stress and I would have to fill out a ton of paper work explaining why, which could back up my payments. I see my GP this week, and going to find a solution, I am also going to tell her how annoyed I am at my shrink assuming it's "all in my head". I could say a bunch of expletives lol..
Hi I did IUI on Saturday and am now doing the dreadful 2WW and I am already feeling discouraged but not defeated. I have PMS signs and it sucks cuz IF and WHEN AF shows up I'm gonna feel like burying my self under my sheets and never waking up. Don't mean to seem negative but today I am feeling prety down. Anyhow good luck to both of us.
Also one multi-vitamin dog tablet daily and 100 or 200 units of human Vitamin E. Occasionally, the aspirin upset his stomach and the vet said we could give him an over-the-counter human Pepsid. He's 95 pounds. Good luck. We had to take him off the aspirin and switch to Previcox recently, as his arthritis got worse.
Previously, I posted the question "if NO aspirin/NSAIDs/acetaminophen, what OTC pain killer for "scoped" knee pain?" Dr. Murphy replied glucosamine and fish oil. Why didn't Dr. Murphy suggest TRAMADOL ?? Are there concerns with REGULARLY taking one Tramadol 50mg tablet up to twice a day ??
The vet was looking for some serious underlying problem the whole time to explain the vomiting and it was probably just something he ate that severely upset his stomach... We're going to keep giving him the medication the next few days and if he doesn't regain his appetite we have a high calorie cat food paste that we will force feed him, rub a bit on the roof of his mouth, but I think he's going to be ok. So far so good, anyway. Hopefully this information helps somebody out there.
Joint pain Glucosamine, a building block of cartilage, can relieve pain and inflammation in joints, says Nicholas DiNubile, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon. In fact, a recent study found glucosamine is more effective than acetaminophen (a.k.a. Tylenol) at relieving symptoms of knee osteoarthritis, often caused in younger men by joint injury.
However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
He was able to tolerate Myristin which contains cetyl myristeolate and glucosamine, I'm not sure if he benefitted from taking it. I'd like to get him healthy without breaking the bank and unfortunately the vet he saw wasn't very holistic. Should I consider getting him x-rayed? Or would he benefit from a supplement Liquidambar 15. I'm hoping that Dr. Cheng might have some suggestions because I prefer alternative medicine. Thanks.
The supplements I've found to be amazingly helpful basically consist of MSM and glucosamine. Within a few days of taking them, my muscle pain decreased and my muscle endurance greatly increased. I'm now able swim and exercise again without the rapid onset of muscle fatigue that I used to experience, and my muscles no longer feel sore for days after exercising.

She is difficult to get into a vehicle and to the vet due to her size and lack of mobility and eyesight. I cant' find any vet in my area who is willing to come to my home to check her over. Any ideas as to what may be happening with her? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just think that I am one of those people who doesnt respond well to certain things, as I have problems finding anything that will help me, but i say try anything you can, cause you never if it will help unless you try it. I did find that some things upset my stomach, like fish oils and vitamin B's make me very nauseated. I did try glucosamine, which did help my joint pain a bit, but then it flared up my gout.
yeah try the liquid or look into Ruby Reds and check out the ingrediants cause at least you will be getting something then and it might not upset your stomach either.

There was something in it that did not agree w/him, so we stopped......I have read many positive reviews about this one.... I have tried many supplements & happen to like just one, extremely well....It's name is "Phycox Soft Chews"....My holistic Vet recommended this product...He does not sell it, so I buy online......It is packed with numerous joint support supplements......
An attack for me is similar to a panic attack – everything starts to spin and I get really lightheaded, then I will experience an inability to talk properly, my limbs go all jelly-like and I can’t move, and I go very cold and numb. After this episode which usually lasts about 45 minutes or so, I will fall into a drunk and disorientated aftermath that is debilitating and can last anywhere from 6 days to 2 weeks.
Today's popular press often extols the supposed virtues of more "natural" ways of living, and approaching illness. There are a wide variety of theories and modalities, that together make up the broad category known as "complementary and alternative medicine (and veterinary medicine)." These approaches to health and disease are not monolithic and therefore their merits or lack thereof cannot be discussed as a category. Each must be examined alone.
Hi Tramadol Warriors, Welcome to Part 13! We're so happy to see you! Come on in and get comfy.
If it's a while till your next appointment, you might call the MD's office and ask if these are normal side effects and what you can take to soften them, like tylenol or something for the headache, and what to do about the stomach upset. I got no headache on Mepron and zith, but I seldom get headaches at all. It might "just" be a Herx you are having? But do report to the MD's office and see what they recommend. Let us know how you do. Take care! You're making progress!
ones. I don't want to take Fosomax. It gives you an upset stomach and you have to sit up for 30 min. after taking it and the pill is HUGE. You have to have special permission to take the liquid. I just got off of very strong meds. I don't want to take anymore unless it is absolutely necessary . I ordered a couple things from this chemist/nutritionist in Ft. Worth, Texas that rebuilds bone. They are flower essences. I ordered Female Serenity Herbal Tonic "F.S.

But all the other things I just don't know. I guess I got so used to having an upset stomach during treatment, that on and off bouts of upset stomach I just blew off. But I have been off treatment for 2.5 years now, and in the last 6 months or so been feeling worse than I did when I was done. Another thing is my brain is just not functioning properly either. I cannot talk have the time, cuz I can't find the word..

For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
i am still doing fine with the pain meds still havent taken any but for the shoulder pain not so hot its getting worse by the day it seems and i am getting less and less sleep every night when this first started i could lay down for 3 or 4 hours at a time and it then it would start to bother me and now it is only about 5 minutes and the pain is starting and within ten minutes the pain is horrible and this pain increase is in like a little less than three week timeframe and i am worrying myself t

I took the 500 mg of Magnesium on night instead of the Ultram, slept like a baby and woke up feeling great. My leg pains have calmed way down! and No head fog or stomach upset. I have an appointment with the Rh dr next week and I am hoping she will be open to his approach of "integrated" treatment with some prescription drugs like pain killers or a possible sleep aid combined with the supplements. I am very afraid of taking the powerful meds they want to put us on.
In animals it can kill their immune system which is their only defense against diseases. It's been a great few days -- no head jerks, still good appetite, no upset stomach, AND he is beginning to use his injured rear leg again -- not fully, but he is starting to gingerly put it down when he walks. I want to attribute this turnaround in him to the sub-q fluids he's been getting every other day for a little over a week now. It really seems to have pepped him up and I am so elated to see this change in him!
nutraceutical supplements called glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), also known as mucopolysaccharides, can be useful. These include glucosamine (both the sulfate and the HCl forms) and chondroitin sulfate, from sources such as chitin (the shells of shellfish), green-lipped mussel (perna canaliculus), and cartilage. Also included in this category are the injectable forms sold under the brand names Adequan in the U.S. and Cartrophen (pentosan polysulfate) elsewhere. Take a look at http://www.
