I have been diagnosed diabeted Type II few months back and I am on a dose of two tablets of Glucophage 500. Is this low dose or a very high dose for a new diabetes.

My rule of thumb is to consider moving on to injection fertility drug treatment if you are not yet pregnant after 4-6 OVULATORY cycles on clomid, or if you have not been able to ovulate at a maximum clomid dose of 200mg - 250mg a day. Also, if clomid by itself is not resulting in ovulation, some women can be made more sensitive to clomid by taking glucophage or metformin, so this can sometimes be tried before moving on the fertility drug injections. but still not pregnant , he has now put me on clomid 150 mg and started me on glucophage, I am little scared to take the glucophage, although i read it increases fertility, should i take both, and if so what is the posibility of getting pregnant. and if not what is the next step???????

scolded me for stopping the med, and insists that I continue to give him Glucophage. The Dr. says that the Glucophage will serve as an appetite suppresant as well as help control the blood sugars. Hi, I am taking Glucophage (slow release Metformin) and have just been prescribed Januvia to take also. I have had stomach pains and upset stomach since being on them, the plus side is that I have lost weight so am very happy about that but wondered if anyone else has experienced the stomach pain and if so how long did it take for it to subside. So your TSH was maybe 70 or 80 before you started taking Levoxyl. Were you started on a high dose? How long have you been taking 200mcg? I have been there. I have had my TSH drop 40 points in a week after getting on the right dose of meds. But I went from post RAI no meds straight to 100mcg, which is what my body wanted. Within six weeks my TSH was between 1.0 and 2.0. That's why I said you may need a dosage increase.

I actually find that the thyroxine makes me extremely emotionally vulnerable, I have put on weight, my skin is dry and flaky, I suffer from joint pain and life has just generally become much less bearable. They keep on adjusting my dose. Can I expect this to ease, or will it be like this forever?

She had them both biopsied and they are benign. She was being treated with a low dose of levothyroxine to see if that would aid in causing the nodule to shrink, this did not work. The nodule now is about 4cm & so she was referred to an endocrinologist. I took birth-control pills so that I can have a normal period but then my Doctor prescribed me to take Glucophage 500 mg twice a day after food but it has side effects like dizziness, nausea, low blood pressure and diarrehea... I went to pharmacies and asked about the medicine ( Glocophage), they say its good but it is not making me feel good. The last pharmacy I went to suggested that I should take Glucophage XR. I still didnt take it, Im still using Glucophage.

I used birth control pills for a year of which i had a regular cycle. I stopped using the pills after i got married and my cycle became very irregular. Since then, i've been unable to conceive. Any time my menstrual cycle becomes regular and i have sexual intercourse with my husband,menses ceases for months until i take some drugs that would be prescribed by the doctor.

have to lose another 30lbs to be normal.diagnosed with pcos.have been takin glucophage, no refined carbs plus low fat and workout. have been trying desperately to get pregnant.i dont ovulate.period regular for 18 months now. my problem is unexpected bleeding after 20 days of period .my cycle is 30 days have been regular.this sort of a thing never happened before.im ruling out ovulation and implantation bleeding ,coz it cant be a regular heavy bleeding,the kind im having since this morning.

t doing well and you raised them on your own to see if it would help which is never a good idea? What is the dose that you are taking? What dose did you take today? I could give you some more information then. But more importantly if you are starting to feel sick then you might have taken above what is the reccomended maximum dosage and clearly you are encountering some side effects.

ladies i am reading how you have lost weight which is really great, do you mind if i ask, have you changed your diet since starting on metformin?, is this how you've lost weight, i do notice my appetite has reduced however my weight has not dropped & im on it 10 days,850mg, for 1st week, then double the dose, do you think when i increase my dose that my body will get used to it & i will in time need a higher dose or maybe this is when i will only notice weight loss.

max effective dose..........been on 20mg for 3 weeks............. wonderred if i would need more or just more time. worried if i take more i will be even more anxious, anyway i have an appt tomorow with psychiatrist so that is good timing i can ask her!
