The tablets outer has a coating, no smell. I split it open, it does not have an odor of any sorts. I do suggest you consult with your pharmacist. IMO, I wouldn't swallow anything that had a moldy odor unless several Pharmacist said it was OK to do so. Have him/her examine what you have on hand.

Avatar n tn s similar then maybe something like Metformin (i.e. Fortamet, Glucophage) would help. All in all I would ask my OB/GYN to refer me to a fertility specialist and I would have him/her address these concerns about a possible infertility situation. If it turns out you are in danger but aren't ready to have another baby right away then maybe you could check into egg retrieval and freezing for future use. I don't know, these are just thoughts.

When my husband and I TTC with Clomid treatment, it was unsuccessful. It wasn't until I remarried and had a very relaxed sex life that pregnancy was successful.

My dr is suppose to be one of the best infertility drs for PCOS in my area of the country (Texas) and has me on glucophage for the insulin resistance associated with PCOS and also parlodel and dexamethasone. 179624 tn?1210096474 You need to ovulate to get pregnant. If you have been having periods on clomid, not requiring provera or another type of progesterone to bring them on, then I believe you have been ovulating on clomid. My rule of thumb is to consider moving on to injection fertility drug treatment if you are not yet pregnant after 4-6 OVULATORY cycles on clomid, or if you have not been able to ovulate at a maximum clomid dose of 200mg - 250mg a day.

Avatar m tn I've been on glucophage since the beginning (10 years) , with the exception of a short and nearly fatal foray into Avandia use. I've had all those symptoms for ten years. I also have passed out several times from low blood sugar, something the doctors say doesn't happen on this medication. Ha, ha. Tell that to the Saturday morning crowd at Denny's. I have been told I am an exception and, normally, the symptoms are supposed to fade after a few months.
