1068689 tn?1325827206 Dizzeness is very hard to cope with for side effects from medicene, but they should go away after you have taken enough of the medication in order for you're body to get used to it, but if it's this bad you should go ahead and ask your'e doctor, if you can hve a different substitution that may not make you dizzy. I hope this helps you, I know I kind of went around in a circle but i've got to the point, and if you have any more problems contact me for more support. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I believe that it is more than likely side effects from the glimepiride for the T2. I am curious whether anyone has had similar side effects.
Avatar n tn Keep in mind I am not a doctor. Medications all have side effects. You need to talk to your doctor and see if he could somehow cut your long list of meds down to a narrower field. also your trainer should also know that when you have what we call stomach flab, as you lose weight this skin takes longer to tighten because the weight of the fat cells causes sag initially makeing it harder to lose weight in our mid sections.
Avatar m tn the drug glimepiride, is not making my blood sugar level lower; instead is higher 250! I am taking 2mg twice a day. My doctor says all is OK.
Avatar f tn Why are you on metformin? Do you have pcos? I was on metformin too and don't remember having any side effects. I guess once it adjusts to your body you might feel better. Also, there are good chances of getting pregnant while taking clomid with metformin.
Avatar f tn i have been lucky with metformin, no side effects. However, some folks have experienced feeling dizzy, light-headed, tired, or very weak; A call to your doctor may be prudent. Perhaps the dose is too high Nonetheless a call will put your mind at ease.
Avatar f tn Hi Ladies I just have as question about metformin whats the side effects some of you may have had? I start to take metformin today so maybe this will bring on my period. I had a natural m.c in nov 2008 and no AF as of yet.

1273125 tn?1365077526 Hey Scrappy - has your doctor suggested adding GLIMEPIRIDE to your Metformin? I am type 2, have been for 10 years - also only have 1/2 a Pancreas, as I had to have the other half removed due to a tumor in the head of my Pancreas - 8 hour surgery, and 8 days in the hospital, which is where the Insulin shots started. Initially, I came home from the hospital on both types of Insulin.
Avatar f tn He takes 2 tablets Glycomet Trio 1 (Metformin HCL Sustained Release, Glimepiride & Voglibose Tablets) - 1 before taking lunch and before taking dinner.
Avatar f tn Hm, so you are diagnosed as PCOS or they just started the metformin for the reason of the adrenal gland issue? I'm trying to understand. LOL I know things that affect any part of our hormonal system will result in some mood changes. Are you taking the metformin as they intended? Have they also considered clomid? You've been working with a fertility doctor--- and done all the testing and this is the only issue they see with regards to getting pregnant?
Avatar m tn Thanks for answering, Just to clarify, I take high sugar foods OR I take metformin. Not both at the same time. I think metformin mostly helps with insulin resistance (and it doesnt lower the sugars since they are already normal). My sugars are OK even when I am not taking metformin. They get high from 5.5 to 8 when I eat, but they drop back to 6 or 5, 2 hours after eating. The sugar levels during the shaking and weakness episodes are 4.5 to 5.
Avatar f tn Sorry I dont know what ANY of those drugs are or what sgpt is. I could google each of them read the side effects and answer you....
Teacher NO side-effects from Metformin - Lucky you!
393893 tn?1283551230 All of your advice is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I took it upon myself to stop taking Metformin. My side effects were increasingly getting worse, I even started losing hair. I decided to listen to my body. We have a meeting with our re on June 2nd. Maybe they can put me on something else. I was still only taking one pill I can't imagine what my body would have done if I had worked up to taking 4 a day. It was very scary. Again, thanks for all the input!!!
Avatar n tn Hi Doctor, My wife has consulted the doctor as advised by you and he has prescribed Cetapin 1000 mg 1-0-1 (metformin) along with Glimy-4(Glimepiride)1-0-0-. Hope this is OK.
