I have also been keeping a close eye on my BP for two weeks now on 5mg. I did notice for a few days after going from 10mg to 5mg I was feeling slightly light headed. But my BP was good (120 over 80). Dr told me my body was adjusting to a lower dose. It seems like the exercies and diet is paying off.

I have been taking Losartan 25mg in the morning and 25 metoprolol succinate ER in the evening. My BP in the morning always ranges from 120/70 to 130/80 and evening it goes upto anywhere between 140/80 to 150/90 and some times even 160/100(rarely- but had readings like that). My HR in the morning is aroung 70 BPM and increases to around 90 in the evening.

My Father had been on BP medicine (Amlodipine 5mg once a day ) for last 15 years, that kept his BP levels to almost ideal range 6 months back he was diagnosed with Thyroid disorder on higher levels Dr.

I just started back on Abilify and ambien (temporarily for sleep) after being off meds for 10 days. I am taking 10mg which is an increase from the 5mg that i was on. I was experiencing psychosis, paranoia, anxiety, and sleep deprivation. I'm not sure how my mood was at the time. When i went to my psychiatrist he mentioned Schizoaffective disorder but did not diagnose me with it.

25mg 3x daily, until I lose 20lbs. the 5mg of lisinopril helped with the BP, but 3 days into taking the Medication I started getting muscle aches. I went to my PCP and he said it was not likely lisinopril so he gave me flexeril for the muscle aches. He also raised my lisinopril to 10mg even though the 5mg had been doing the job as my BP had gone down from 139/89~ to 131/84. Now that I am taking 10mg lisinopril It feels like I have the Flu (aches,pains,chills) ,and my throat gets really sore.

Doctor said it might be high because I was nervous being in office environment. Have brought a Omron bp monitor,and bp past couple have days still running high at 151/87 in morning and later in day at 158/99. This bp is taken just sitting around house doing nothing. I'm on Amlodipine 10mg a day. My age is 57 and weight is 205 at 5'8 Should I tell doctor something else needs to be done? I think so. Thanks for any feed back.

The following week I was quite normal and my bp was never more than 130/80. Following week contacted cardiologist as a precaution. He suggested to take Carvidilol 6.25my/Lisinopril 5mg/Simvastatin 25mg/Aspirin81mg. This is when all the trouble started with lightheadedness, chest pain, shortness of breath and I became more sick than I was before taking these medications. When I complained, he changed to Bystolic 5mg. This made it worse by lowing down the heart beat to 43.

I started taking amlodipine 5mg. I started using cpap as well and the apelnea numbers have come down significantly. But the BP has been never in control.. Offlate Im feeling anciety, bp shots up with very little work, feel like an impending doom when Im alone..im fed of all symptoms.

To reassure you, due to 480mg of bp pills being discharged from hospital with me instead of 5mg, my bp dropped to 66/51 with a pulse of 23. I could feel my heart fluttering but all the hospital did was wait for my body to remove the excess drugs. It took about 12 hours but the headaches lasted weeks. they continues to administer the normal 5mg when my bp had raised back to normal. You will be absolutely fine and have nothing to worry about.

I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.

But in our genes all of us is having a high blood pressure. I only take amlo 5mg. Im in to exrcse cause i want to lower any risk of complication in my BP.

metabolic panel and thyroid and i had a cardiac workup which was fine too. i am in my mid 20s,and i want to know,if my bp and pulse are that high,can it do damage to my vital organs?? and why are my numbers so high since all the test show no abnormalities??

They started me on losartan 50 mg and amlodipine 5mg. And for some reason it seams like it is not going down, so I went to the ER and they increased my amlodipine to 10mg and adv me to contact my primary dr that following week. Called the dr that next week and he increased my losartan to 100 mg and amlodipine to 10 mg, 1 each per day. However it seems like my bp is still hanging out around the upper 180's.

hi i have been told i have hypertension from my gp who has gave me ramipril 5mg . im not sure whether to take them im 17weeks postpartum . i had high bp in hosp 140/96 my surgeon who was looking after me put it down to white coat syndrome as when i was relaxed it came down .

I also took Bystolic at the 2 and 1/2 mg level a few days and then quit slowly because my bp was too low on it and I felt dizzy.

46 year old female - family history of heart disease/kidney disease -I have been fighting high bp for about three years, was averaging about 150/90, now on 2 bp meds, and bp is all over the map - in the a.m. (upon waking up) it is usually high, avg 160/90+, (has been 200/130 at times), but by evening can drop to as low as 110/58. I have other health issues, and I am currently having testing done for kidney function. Does anyone else have these wild fluctuations?

I am 70 and am taking amlopodine for high BP. Over the past 4 months at 10mg, I have noticed a difference and seem to be stabilized at 135/80. The med, however, has exacerbated a problem I have with a swelling in my right ankle due to DVT years ago. (This is a listed side effect.) I want to reduce the med to 5mg. My doctor who prescribed the med is not available. Can anyone provide knowledge on whether it is OK to step down the med dosage now that I am stabilized?

it was discovered 10 weeks ago that i had a aneurysm on my ascending aorta 6.4 with a bicuspid aorta vavle. i had surgery 7 weeks ago st jude aorta valve dacron graft for ascending aorta. Four days after surgery i need a pacemaker due to the surgery. My question is there any long term risk or dangers of this that i should look out for. I take amiodarone (200mg) for a-fib that i developed after pacemaker surgery and celexa 20mg, zocor 20 mg. norvasc 5mg. coumadin 7.5mg m & w 5 mg.

once i started taking norvasc its now 135 over 85... . ive been on BP med from 5 mg to 10mg , 5mg to 10 mg back and forth since 2010., but again my BP is 120 over 85 at home once i go to the docs once a week even on the BO med it rises to 180 over 120 or highter.
