In terms of side effects, I have had some site reactions (post injection pain/sting; mild redness; swelling/lump at injection site) but no other problems thus far. Copaxone is reported to be about the same effectiveness as the interferons, for reducing relapses. It is not yet clear whether it is effective in delaying disease progression and disability.

Hi Rox68, I am on Tecfidera, and have been on it since I was dx'd - over 4 years ago. For the first 4-6 weeks I dealt with intermittent nausea and no other gastro symptoms. It was an odd sort of nausea because it came on randomly. I would take a pill and then 4 hours later, out of the blue, nausea. But get this, I could still be hungry and think of food and be OK.

I just finished my first go at IV solu-medrol two weekend ago. I had similar, what the home nurse called "side effects" immediately beginning treatment similar to your sisters (joint pain, mainly). This, and many more "tolerable" side effects are normal. So I wouldn't be alarmed. I was found to have a few more severe, negative side effects throughout the dosing such as steroid induced psychosis and trouble breathing.

Copaxone is not an immunosuppressant. It's technical name is Glatiramer Acetate, and it is an "immunomodulator". It functions in a way that is not suppression of the immune system. Think of it as more of a decoy. It shifts T cells from Th1 to Th2. In other words, it's a little more sophisticated than just tamping down the immune response. If you are in a severe current flare up, any disease-modifying treatments you begin now will not effect it.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

Does anyone know of any side effects from using the circulation booster. I have the opportunity to buy a second hand one, but my brother believes it can't be good for your muscles to zap them so to speak, like it will confuse your muscles.

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?

i had similar side effects when coming off the depo shot. I thought i was pregnant and took 3 tests. they went away but it took about 6mo. My docs checked my hormones and pituitary gland and they we all fine. It's probably not the effexor but ck w/ your doc anyway.

I just googled Avastin side effects are there are many sites that have lots of info on there. Also, you could google the manufacturer or ask your oncology center for some fact sheets.... Just a thought.

Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.

I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?

Hi there, Thank you for writing to us here, though I am sorry that you are struggling with side effects from the result of breast cancer medication. I am also a breast cancer survivor, however as I am triple negative, the hormonal drugs are not effective for me so unfortunately I cant speak from experience. However, that doesn't mean that I cant find out some interesting information for you in relation to libido and Arimidex.

He had a third seizure there and the vet diagnosed epilepsy. He is on phenobarbitol and had no side effects until last night when he vomited and started head twitching. He is drooling a lot and a bit wobbly. Is this typical? Will it stop ?

Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.
