Avatar f tn Back when I lived in Maryland, my whole life revolved around lacrosse. I became a runner to stay in shape for lacrosse and started running races and training for a half marathon. That was the best thing that happened to me; it kept me close to my dad that had the same passion but lived 3,000 miles away. Now that I've moved to Colorado, this being my parent's idea, I can't accomplish the same dreams.
Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?
Avatar m tn My son was diagnosed with GPC around six months ago. He has been on an oral antihistimine (claritin) for many years and uses Patanol and theratears. He was told he could no longer wear contact lenses (that's fine) and hasn't since his diagnoses. There is little change to his GPC even after using a prescription eye drop with steroids and antibiotic. His opthamologist never asked if he used any face cleanser. He uses a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash, in addition to Clearasil pads.
Avatar n tn I am now 34 weeks and I've been experiencing sciatic nerve pain for the past month. The only relief I get is from an ice pack. It's caused from the extra fluid in the body caused by pregnancy. Yes, it's early for you to experience the sciatic nerve pain already. I read that if you have it that early it my be caused by overweight before pregnancy. Try sleeping with your hands open as well. Or ask your ob for finger splints.
Avatar f tn I haven’t posted a new game in a while, so I thought up a new one that I hope everyone will enjoy. :) As the name implies, the 20-Post Shuffle, will have a topic change every 20 posts. Avatar n tn I know what you are feeling and it is because where your goitre was, you would not have felt your carotid artery and the jugular vein, as it was acting like a giant pillow in front of them. It will take time to get used to that new feeling, but you will! My side drove me nuts as you could see the artery pumping away, and people would look at me oddly! Then the right side was taken out and I could feel that too! It also took me a while to get used to seeing my voice box sitting there too.
Avatar n tn I need a good thyroid dr. in the Madison WI. My Dr. Is refusing to prescribe Armour Thyroid now. He wants me on synthetic thyroid. I have been on Armour for six years and feel fine. My counts are good other than TSH which is surpressed 0.015 which it also has been for years. Any names of a good thyroid dr. that will continue to prescribe the Armour? I hate to be forced into ordering it overseas.
1565702 tn?1295292830 Truth is, and I will be the first to admit it, I love smoking and dont really want to quit my three to four pack a day habit. I should have been born in a time when smoking was allowed almost everywhere in America, and I could have smoked all I wanted to whether at my desk at work, or in any restaruant or bar, or at almost any other social occasion.
Avatar f tn I'm in wi and with and after my first I got eczema. And that was six yrs ago but I still get flair ups.
Avatar m tn I'm a college athlete (I play both varsity soccer and lacrosse) so we have lifting/running programs for the offseason. I've been lifting for a while now and I've noticed that my left pec is larger than my right. The left one is about the size I want it to be, maybe a bit smaller, but my right one really needs to grow. I'm wondering how I could fix this problem.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi, I have been lifting weights and other gym exercises with a trainer and by myself for the last year and a half. Last two weeks I got a stabbing pain in the left shoulder blade (middle outer area). I have had a massage and rolled it with a Lacrosse ball and that didn't work. I then found that my front left pec muscle hurts to the touch. I also had trouble moving my left arm backwards. My trainer is a master trainer so he knows a lot about injuries and things they are connected.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar f tn When I was on antibiotics I kept the empty bubble pack and threw away the pills. It's hard to keep your mind in the game during treatment, especially if. Missing a few doses is not so bad but don't let it happen again (uh oh, there's my mother creeping in). I set alarms on my phone for the dose I had the most trouble remembering. When I was released from treatment, erasing those alarms was deeply satisfying.
Avatar f tn Simple question this week. What did you do you this weekend? I pretty much went into hibernation on Thursday. I got the go ahead to do my Aspirin Desensitization Thursday which got scheduled for today. I didn't want to risk exposure to anything that would trigger something that would delay that again. Not exactly a fun weekend, but anticipating life after today was worth it. The prodedure was not nearly as bad as I expected, but I got to stay on allergy meds which is atypical.
Avatar f tn I've been smoking for about six years. A pack lasts me 2-3 days. I can go a day without smoking no problem. Why can't I stop then? Am I truly addicted or is it just in my head?
Avatar f tn History-Last march I injured my right knee playing lacrosse, I am 13 years old.I was sprinting and pivoted on my knee and heard and felt a pop. There was some swelling after the initial injury. I saw an orthopedic surgeon and was told it was either a possible tear in my acl, strain, or cartilage damage. The MRI came back negative. I decided to just play through the pain because it wasnt unbearable and the season was almost over. I went to lacrosse camp and it really started bothering me.
Avatar f tn I only recently discovered Chiari after a lifetime of searching for answers to my own symptoms, I go to mayo in LaCrosse wi, not by choice but because mayo owns our insurance company, so we are ONLY allowed to see mayo drs. (yay) I have never had a good experience. EVERY person has their damn nose in the air and they ALL already know whats wrong with you, and its always that youre a mental case. end of story. I wish their true nature were publicly uncovered.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
1309085 tn?1273746282 Oro in CO and TCI in NY both charge a nominal fee to review mri. Dr. Heffez in WI and Dr. Di in OH do not charge a fee and Dr. Heffez tries his best to review an mri within a week or so. I'm sure there are many other drs that do this as well but those I personally sent my records to. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
