I had mentioned to a friend with a diabetic son that after I exercise(run) in the morning my blood sugar will sometimes shoot up 100-150 points and this is after a reading of 120-150 prior to running on my treadmill. Your doctor is uninformed and irresponsible to be allowing your blood sugar to go so high without advising you to do anything. As Zoelula said, it is your health. It is up to you. Get yourself educated and get it under control. Else there will be consequences. This is the plain and ugly, but necessary truth!

It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.

120mg of Geodon is a high dose to start out with, very high. I started on a low dose and worked my way up. However, Geodon caused me panic attacks so I switched to Lamictil. It caused me suicidal ideations and migranes. Now I am just on Wellbutrin and Abilify. They work wonders for me, great combo. So, how come you are on so much meds? Depakote and Risperdone are very corrective for BP so why is he slapping you onto Geodon too??

However, long after stopping Geodon, I still am having heart issues. Two weeks after stopping Geodon, I went to the ER once more since then for high heart rate (170 BPM). Now, a month and a half later, my heart rate is STILL having issues. It has gotten 100-120 several times when I was stressed out and only through calming myself was I able to get it down. How long am I going to have heart issues? Why am I still experiencing heart issues after stopping Geodon?

I'm on Abilify too and my pdoc said that it is a blanketed warning required by the FDA because another medication in that class caused a few pre-market study participants to have raised blood sugar levels. He said it's not anything to worry about. If you feel better having your sugar checked every couple months, have your doc write an order for bloodwork. there is 1 test they do called an AC#### I donm't know the numbers but your doc will and it tests your overall blood sugar.

i am not diabetic but for some reason, for the.oast couple weeks i have been monitoring my blood sugar and its all over the place. the highest ive noticed was 281 after a big dinner and 2 minutes later it drops down to 113. any other ones are like, 232, 158 but i dont feel anything weird in my body at all. but my blood sugar when i woke up yesterday morning was 97 that was before breakfast. pls if u know anything about this, give an advice on wut to do.
