Avatar m tn But I am scared the Seroquel will give me tremors, because I am welder and I have to have really steady hands. if Seroquel causes me to have tremors will they go away after I stop taking it?
Avatar f tn Ok thanks, the geodon doesn't seem to be covering the olanzipine withdrawal.
1258608 tn?1269552597 I have a hard time driving because I get tremors in my legs and feet. The tremors have gotten worse over time. I could really use some support right now and any advice that you may have.
1258608 tn?1269552597 Does anyone else suffer from major hand tremors? I am on Geodon, Zoloft, Klonopan, Propranolol, & Lithium. My tremors have gotten worse and would like to know if anyone was able to overcome them. It really bothers me and is very noticeable.
Avatar m tn if I start taking Seroquel and it causes me to have tremors, will they go away after I start taking it?
Avatar n tn Be very careful.and go back on the geodon and come off slowly tapering in half in 2 or 3 weeks. I came off in 3 days 40mg and it threw me into chronic anxiety with tremors and quivers I still have today. Don't take a chance and stay cold turkey. It causes temors and chronice insomina when you get off it after more thana week. or even less...Please beware what geodon does. It is a highly potent drug. songwriterdelta.
Avatar m tn im thinking about trying Seroquel, but I read that it can cause tremors in rare cases. im a welder and I have to have steady hands. does anyone know if that would go away if I stopped taking it if it happens.
Avatar m tn I was forced to stop Geodon cold turkey because of this and went on a Beta Blocker. Plus, I had bloodwork, CT scan of heart, numerous EKGs...all normal. However, long after stopping Geodon, I still am having heart issues. Two weeks after stopping Geodon, I went to the ER once more since then for high heart rate (170 BPM). Now, a month and a half later, my heart rate is STILL having issues.
494087 tn?1257793207 geodon - I would start googling and read what you can about it. You can also visit the bipolar forum and read what others are posting about it. You can also do some research on bipolar illness and read the questionnaires on the disease to see if you fit any of the criteria. I'm so sorry about your situation...also, you need to watch these tremors, too.
Avatar m tn Reviewing those medications, it appears that some of them are from a family called neuroleptics (the Haldol and Geodon). I am not sure how frequently or what dose and duration your husband was administered during his stay but those medications do have the potential of causing side effects of involuntary movements. Among the side effects are - Akathisia – inability to stay still.
518117 tn?1429276273 The minor tremors caused by lithium are seperate and that unlike the Haldol can be adjusted for. And if he does need an antipsychotic, the atypical antipsychotics, from Risperdal onwards and less likely to have the severe effects of Haldol. Most likely they just stabilized him and released him and a follow up visit with the psychiatrist to adjust and fine tune things should improve things.
Avatar m tn ve been extremely paranoid of taking most medication my whole life and even as a baby it was difficult to administer medication to me for some reason.
Avatar n tn Hes putting me on geodon to try and get me off zyprexa and to see if i get better sleep. I am on 30 mg of zyprexa right now and life has been better, cause at one time i was on 40 mg. With all the medications I am on I still don't sleep that well. We both think I'm over medicated. The doctor says that I need to calm down and relax and wait for them to work and then he will start to slowly reduce my amounts and how much medications i am on. the objective right now is to fisrt stablize me.
Avatar m tn So I'm taking 40mg of Geodon for bipolar, though no psychotic symptoms. Now I know bipolar alone should deter me from taking mushrooms, and honestly I'm sure it will. And I know mixing recreational drugs with psychatric meds is a bad idea. Nevertheess, I have a question concerning the interaction between Geodon and psilocybin. From what I've read, psilocybin is an agonist to the 5HT2 serotonin receptor, which I assume means that it increases serotonin.
Avatar f tn I have been on meds for bi-polar and have developed tremors and memory loss (phone #, SS# etc plus other). I have gotten off the meds, been a few days, and am scared that this will be a permanent change. Friends who hadn't seen me in months, came over recently and were shocked and concerned about me, telling me that I seemed like a zombie. My husband's friends are pulling him aside and asking what's wrong. This is NOT the normal me.
Avatar m tn what mood stasblizer wont cause weight gain if any??? exclude serquil and lithiem and topamax..cant do these already been on them..
Avatar n tn I have been on Wellbutrin off and on for 10 years, on Cymbalta for 4-5 years and Geodon for 4 years. I have been on Geodon 40 mg at times, but recently for the last year or so, on 20 mg. Recently, my psychiatrist bumped me up to 40 mg again. It seems like the last time I was on 40 mg, I also had anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same experience with Geodon, since that is the only thing that has changed recently.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Geodon, Cymbalta, Lamictal and Geodon. Recently I've had times when I've seen things that weren't what they really were. I'm wondering if this is psychosis. They're not like hallucinations, just sort of like I'm in a fog, not with it. I also have trouble with my understanding when someone is saying something to me, like a delayed reaction, feeling kind of slow. I really wonder if I need both mood stablizers.
Avatar f tn d never experienced before in my life and my tremors came back worse than before I had started taking it which I hear it can cause tremors during withdrawal. I also had constant migraines which I took Excedrin for on a daily basis and felt like I was detached from reality even more so than before I took it.
Avatar f tn I'm bipolar 1 and have been on 160 MG of geodon for 16 yrs and it has stopped working for me.
Avatar n tn I went a few months without any medication, before receiving a prescription for Geodon. GEODON IS A TERRIBLE DRUG. I took 20 mg a day for four days, and during those four days (and for several days after) I experienced lightheadedness/feeling faint, headache, nausea, loss of appetite, akathesia, irregular/rapid heart beat, racing thoughts, EXTREME anxiety, insomnia, and flu like symtoms. All of these were so debilitating, it was difficult for me to even get up and walk around.
Avatar m tn I have been on Geodon for about two years and my hair is coming out in handfuls.
Avatar n tn He is having severe memory problems. Is it due to Geodon? He has schizoaffective disorder. He was also put on cogentin and inderal.
Avatar m tn I used to have fine and gross motor movement hand tremors, and that was when I was started on lithium, but it got better or lessened when time went on and I was on lithium for years. After they calmed down alot, the only time I had them was when I was inwardly upset, in a very unpleasant or dangerous situation, or when I was nervous.
2198453 tn?1343244740 I take two tram at a time and now there making me feel horrible not euphoric like before. Its so weird.. Anybody else go through this?
735919 tn?1236444549 thank you for the info on Lamictal, but does anyone take Geodon? I take 40mg Geodon and Lamictal. I do feel so much better, but i was wondering more about the Geodon side effects. I feel alittle more anixous im wondering if it is the Geodon.
Avatar f tn Coincidentally I switch from Geodon to Abilify basically (after a brief try of risperdal) and it works not as good on my psychotic symptoms but better on the negative ones. Geodon also sometimes made me feel stoned and/or drunk and sometimes it made me feel heavy all over and it was extremely difficult to move but this was only around the time it kicked in and I took it around time to go to bed. My withdrawals were like a flu of a caliber I had never experienced before.
390140 tn?1219883889 If I could give you any advice. Stay away from this medication. Someone said that it felt like speed. It does. I was only on it for 10 days. My doc ignored the side effects I;m having and now have to take benzos around the clock....i'm considering a lawsuit against the doc and/or the manufacturer. I work as an RN but because of the seizure and tremors I have, I can't work.
Avatar f tn it might be TD i might have it also my mouth shakes alot and i am on geodon 80mg x2 a day.
