Avatar f tn Are Night sweats a symptom of anxiety or is there something i should be worried about?
Avatar f tn As an anxiety sufferer, I can tell you that both night sweats and chills are common symptoms of anxiety (and, ironically, of the medications used to treat depression and anxiety). As those above have said, it isn't HIV. That pretty much leaves anxiety.
Avatar m tn I started getting night sweats after I came back from Iraq a few years ago. They have showed up off and on since then when I am under stress or anxiety. I usually would wake up in panic and so on. I am on Zoloft and I take an Ativan before bed because lately I have been having major panic attacks during the day, and my mind just races with thoughts I can't control.
Avatar f tn t a specialist in other fields, lol, but do you by chance know other reasons for random bouts of night sweats other than infection or illness?
Avatar m tn I'm 19 years old. Lately, more specifically for the past month or so, I have been waking up in the middle of the night soaked in sweat, and i find myself having to change my shirt upon returning to bed. It has literally only been a month since I've started experiencing these night sweats! it has been occuring 3 or 4 times a week. Should I be concerned? I have heard from several people that nightsweats are quite common with people my age entering adulthood.
Avatar n tn Also, I have woken up with the night sweats on Sunday and Monday night, and on tuesday morning I had really bad diarrhea again. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know the specifics of Night sweats and ARS? Like how long do they last, and how much sweat you produce. I have been having them every night for the past 2+ months... And also I heard Teak say on another post, that swollen lymphnodes associated with ARS are not Tender, and do not hurt with pressure applied. Can anyone confirm this?
Avatar m tn Life360 what do you mean i have good qualities?i have searched lots about other causes night sweats, but i don't fit in those categories. I may say anxiety could contribute to it, but am not convinced. I may say i was diagnosed with acid flux but i still don't believe.
1448936 tn?1363206346 I used to get night sweats months ago during my extremely bad anxiety episode. I haven't had them since october. This morning though I woke up at 6am and had no covers on and was cold so I put the covers back on. I woke up a few hours later sweating. I got up and put on shorts and a tshirt and got cold again. I'm still slightly clammy although its cold in my house. I took my temp and it came up 98.1 so no fever.
Avatar f tn To my understanding nights sweats are a product of a fever, right? Can you have night sweats without a fever? If so would non-fever night sweats relate to HIV still? Also how do you know if your having a fever at night? in the past when I had a night sweat, I would just wake up because I'm wet usually around my neck and chest area, I don't feel like I had fever. I remember in the past when I got tested for HIV I got so stressed I was having night sweats, test turned out to be negative.
Avatar m tn Now, I have night sweats when my levels are off, but usually only once or twice/night as opposed to 5-6 times/night I used to get them.
Avatar n tn Although both men and women suffered from their most intense and most frequent symptoms from the ages of 41 to 55, this report focused on aged subjects in order to isolate the effects of night sweats themselves from the effects of menopause and its associated symptoms. Night sweats during menopause are usually caused by estrogen deficiency, but because both older men and postmenopausal women experience night flashes, in this older group that is less likely to be the case.
Avatar f tn I had severe stress from job and quit it just last week but still miserable with sleep disturbance and night sweats, rapid heart beat etc. Can you tell me if this is related to thyroid or just generalized anxiety/depression?
382594 tn?1266610613 I take lexapro. And the 1st week or so, I was having night sweats. Some of it may have been anxiety in my sleep. But yes, AD's can def make you sweat alot. Research Paxil Sweats on google. Betchya ne thing it comes up as a side effect. =) No worrys, once you get adjusted it'll stop. And again, it could be anxiety in your sleep. Or you could just be hot? lol. Good luck. Don't "sweat" it. lol. No pun intended. lol.
Avatar f tn Night sweats are a symptom of ars..
Avatar f tn My first month on treatment was hot flashes one minute and chills the next but then the hot flashes and night sweats disappeared. So no night sweats for me while on TX and I am hoping they don't return when TX ends but time will tell.
Avatar f tn I am 22 years old, two kids, but for the last year I have been having terrible night sweats. They are so bad that my hair is soaked my pillow is wet and my clothes are sticking to me. I don't skip nights with my sweats it happens every night.. Recently I have been having papilations that last longer than they use to, one episode had me shaking my head to catch my breath.
Avatar m tn If you do, you should have a lot of anxiety -- irrational fear -- and not just night sweats. Night sweats are also a possible side effect of most antidepressants, and taking benzos for a problem that isn't anxiety is taking an addictive drug for no useful purpose.
Avatar f tn For the last couple of monthis I have drenching night sweats, severe anxiety and it is extremely hard to concentrate. I am 53. Could this be because of a hormonal imbalance, and if so, how do I treat it? I'm at the point where I don't care if it's natural or not or even if it causes cancer.
