I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV.
She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. She began to have watery diarrhea and vomit. I took her to the doctor and they said she had gastroenteritis, but it's been a while now and she is still the same? Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? Thank you.

Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?
This is what I've got after some google-ing. Not that under Pathophysiology, it mentions about reactivating by sunlight. I just wanna let you know that recently, indeed I've been having some sun, about 20-30mins everytime, bout 3 days a week since 2weeks ago.

Gastroenteritis can be produced from
viral,bacterial and parasitic infections, contaminated food or water or change in bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract.Chest pain that you are having is due to radiation of pain.
Take adequate fluids throughout the day. The BRAT diet (ie, bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) or soft easily digestible semisolid diet can also be taken.You also need a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or metronidazole.

Well certain viral infections can cause hemolyzed blood in urine. Check again in a day or two. If this persists then go back to your doctor. UTI and stone are the commonest cause. Cancers of urinary system or some drugs too cause blood in urine.

On day 7 of a severe case of gastroenteritis. Everything seems to have calmed down, but once I try and eat anything stomach cramps start, which are unbearable. Sometimes followed by diarrhoea. Is this normal after a severe case of gastroenteritis or do I need to see my G.P again?
they had no effect i then left for madrid,spain for about a week when i returned and went to the emergency room i was vomitingdown to bile and allthough i had been constipated for the whole trip in spain i suddenly started having water like bowel movements. when i went to the emergency room they first gave me an x-ray and said my pancreas was swolen then they gave me a contrast ct-scan in wich the said my boweld were swolen they diagnosed me with collitis. when i went and saw a gastro.
I was wondering if anyone out there was also diagnosed with this at any point in their life? I recently went to the ER because I became violently ill, and didn't put the pieces together until now.
When I was around 8 I was diagnosed with this, usually I was vomiting or had diarrhea almost every day for a long time. It seemed to stop, but I always still had diarrhea where most people would have regular bowel movements.
It worries me that this condition could be coming back in force.
My 5 year old is suffering from severe abdominal pain. My other children had a stomach bug that lasted 1 day and without pain. They vomited a few times and it was over...they felt better. She had similiar symptoms about a month ago and the dr treated her for guiardia with an antibiotic and she was better after 2 days. She has been vomiting all day...pretty much phlem...and only feels better for a few minutes before the pain starts again.

I agree with the post above it can be one of your lymph nodes there thats swollen. Since only recently the mass appeared! I've heard in pathophysiology class from my lecturer that his benign tumor do fluctuate in size if he's under stress and through the day. remember the number of chemical process the body goes through daily. Monitoring this and record any changes or pain in the area. Try to reduce your stress levels as well...

It sounds like you have had all the right tests to re assure you that you don't have anything dangerous. They I read what you are writing above is that you don't have symptoms until you sit down and have time to think. That is often the picture of someone with anxiety and anxiety related chest pain. We don't understand the pathophysiology of why this happens but it is common. The best we can usually say is that you have non cardiac chest pain.

I am 17 years old and I've been getting these strange allergic reactions since I was 12.
They almost always happen when I'm on my menstrual cycle and they occur about 1-3 times a year.
First, after eating, I get a stomach discomfort and mild pain that causes me to go to the bathroom.
After, the stomach pains gets 100 times worse where I'm tossing, turning and crying.
I then start to itch and break out in hives.
