I had unprotected vaginal sex with a girl who I met at a bar – really stupid mistake, I just can’t believe I’ve done something so foolish. We had intercourse 4 times (all unprotected) in one night. 7 days later I came down with severe stomach ache, very bad body malaise/body aches, as well as severe diarrhea – no rash, highest recorded temperature was 99.5 F. These symptoms lasted for 48 hours – felt fine the following days, maybe a little tired.
I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV.
She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. She began to have watery diarrhea and vomit. I took her to the doctor and they said she had gastroenteritis, but it's been a while now and she is still the same? Im 25 yrs female, my whole family had suffer from (stomach flu) i went to visit my moms house the next day i woke up With diarrhea, with no other symptom i ate crackers n oatmeal, chicken soup n tea. Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?

I've had my menstruation since June 18 ,2014 it now July 19 and it's still flowing. I've always had irregular periods but never gone this far as to lasting so long. I went to the e.r and all they diagnosed me with was "abdominal pain " and was prescribed "Hydrocodone ". What should I do? I'm getting really worried. I have no children but do have a fiance Thank God he's patient with me.
As long as you dont smoke it anymore throughout the pregnancy you should be fine... if you live in ontario canada... yeah they test young mothers children... between 16 years -25 years old dont ask me why... but they do... they did it to my friends son and he was clean.
But again if you dont smoke it during the duration of your pregnancy youll be fine dont stress and be honest with your doctor.

viral,bacterial and parasitic infections, contaminated food or water or change in bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract.Chest pain that you are having is due to radiation of pain.
Take adequate fluids throughout the day. The BRAT diet (ie, bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) or soft easily digestible semisolid diet can also be taken.You also need a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or metronidazole.

Well certain viral infections can cause hemolyzed blood in urine. Check again in a day or two. If this persists then go back to your doctor. UTI and stone are the commonest cause. Cancers of urinary system or some drugs too cause blood in urine.

On day 7 of a severe case of gastroenteritis. Everything seems to have calmed down, but once I try and eat anything stomach cramps start, which are unbearable. Sometimes followed by diarrhoea. Is this normal after a severe case of gastroenteritis or do I need to see my G.P again?
they had no effect i then left for madrid,spain for about a week when i returned and went to the emergency room i was vomitingdown to bile and allthough i had been constipated for the whole trip in spain i suddenly started having water like bowel movements. when i went to the emergency room they first gave me an x-ray and said my pancreas was swolen then they gave me a contrast ct-scan in wich the said my boweld were swolen they diagnosed me with collitis. when i went and saw a gastro.
I was wondering if anyone out there was also diagnosed with this at any point in their life? I recently went to the ER because I became violently ill, and didn't put the pieces together until now.
When I was around 8 I was diagnosed with this, usually I was vomiting or had diarrhea almost every day for a long time. It seemed to stop, but I always still had diarrhea where most people would have regular bowel movements.
It worries me that this condition could be coming back in force.
My 5 year old is suffering from severe abdominal pain. My other children had a stomach bug that lasted 1 day and without pain. They vomited a few times and it was over...they felt better.
