Hello, thanks for your response! My stools keep changing, like I'll have diarrhea 3-4 times one day and then I'll have more solid stools twice the next day. And before I have to go I have really bad cramping. I do have ovarian cysts, and I'm supposed to start my period soon, so maybe that's the cramping. But it's worrying me. I know I need to go to the doctor, but I have bad anxiety that I'm working on.

Definitely agree the first year or so is the most difficult. It gets much easier with time, not to mention you grow stronger as a person (if you allow for such). The "famous PATM thread" contains a ton of knowledge, but if you're in a dark place you probably don't have the time or patience to sift through all of it.

the sensation of not getting enough air into my lungs started shortly after a bout of gastroenteritis. after heart, lung, x-rays, and endoscopies, the only thing abnormal that was found was a hiatal hernia. my question now is, is it the hiatal hernia that is giving me this sensation, or did the stomach bug somehow mess up my nerves - making me more anxious/stressed which triggers this condition. anyone else experience a similar scenario? any suggestions?
