1228153 tn?1267334916 Thank you for your question. Most of the times, H. pylori is a major associate with chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer. Eradication of the infection by antibiotic course (heli kit) in individuals will surely improve symptoms and may prevent gastric cancer. Since this bacterium has flagella and moves through the stomach lumen and do colonization in stomach that result into chronic gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining.
Avatar f tn (Camera down the throat.) IT sounds like u may have H pylori (bacteria in the mucus of your stomach lining) which is what I had. It's curable with an increased dosage of amoxicillan along with other meds.
Avatar f tn It went away. They tested me for h pylori and it was negative. Also a ultrasound of the upper abdomen showed nothing, no stones. What can this be?
Avatar n tn You may need a test to check for h pylori. The best way is the breath test. Follow the docs advice... But I think h pylori needs to get checked as well!!!
Avatar f tn Ive had countless tests done, a barium swallow, ultrasounds, h pylori check test which came back negative, blood tests which came back clean, bottom line no reason was found for my nausea. I struggle with it every single day and it is taking over my life as i cannot go out or do anything, im staying home all the time and im starting to lose hope. I tried homeopathy, i tried everything and nothing seems to offer relief. I also suffer from anxiety.
Avatar n tn but doubtfull, id go with other infections that the doc might now have ruled out look on web md on the symptom checker see what it says...but look up H. pylori...good possibilty...
1788584 tn?1315106518 Yea the doctor said either gastroenteritis or gastritis from H. Pylori (too much soda every day my whole life.. recently cut back) I would have to go back to the hospital to get the right prescriptions because I don't have insurance or a primary care doctor.

Avatar n tn If you've have black tarry stools and anemia and positive for H. Pylori, should you always be treated with antibiotics or are there are other treatment options?. Are there any situations where antibiotics are not used but you are positive of H. pylori? Avatar m tn Hello Everyone, I am 38 years old, I have been suffering from the IBS for few years now, but I was able to manage the symptoms so far, until last year when I started feeling heartburn, after consulting with an internist I was diagnosed positive for H Pylori(UBT Test), the doctor advised to treat it using triple therapy(Pantazol 40mg, Ospamox 1000mg, Avalox 400mg) for seven days, I managed to take it only for 4 days, then I agreed with the doctor to stop it because I was having very strong side e
Avatar f tn Today I finished my 2 week treatment for h pylori. But I'm still having some stomac pain as well alot of stomach gurgling. Does that mean that I still have h pylori and the antibiotics didn't work?
Avatar m tn Could it be the case that might just have some form of Irritable bowel syndrome rather than h pylori, its only that initial occassion when my vomit was darkish that suggests that its h pylori, and maybe it could have been something else other then blood in my vomit. Would i be seeing tarry stools or vomit more often in other words if it was h pyleri!!
Avatar f tn There are various combinations, the idea being to simultaneously attack three different methods of replication, because the cells mutate. There is more than one variety of H. Pylori. The bacteria exists on raw chicken sometimes and you can get reinfected. Wash and cook chicken thoroughly and sterilize all cutting boards. There are arguments pro and con administering acid reducing medications. The "pro" is that they inhibit replication.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with H-Pylori a month ago. I took Biaxin, Amoxicillin and now Carafate, I feel no relief at all. How long does this last?
Avatar f tn I had h pylori a few years back which caused severe indigestion, the h pylori was eradicated with antibiotics and I started feeling better, anyway, today while I was on a train some old guy sneezed in to my hand it was so gross!
Avatar n tn If you've had H. pylori in the past, the blood test that you just had is NOT the correct test that should be done to recheck you for H. pylori. You're going to have antibiodies in the blood from that 1st round of H. pylori and the recent blood test may be a false positive. The only test that can be used (with a history of H. pylori infection) is a breath test. Go back and talk to your doc about this. If the breath trest turns up positive, then you need to be treated.
Avatar f tn I have a friend that just found out that he may have h pylori. what is that?
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with h. pylori today by my doctor. I had no symtpoms that i know of pertaining to this virus. I went to the dr. for physical. I knew I was anemic but my syptoms were tired, unable to lose weight, and stress. does anybody else have h. pylori without the typical symptoms? The dr. prescribed the prev pac but I am afraid to take them and them make me feel worse. Help.
Avatar m tn I recently went to the doctor because I was having terrible pains in my chest and upper back after I ate. THe doctor took a bloodtest and it came back H. PYLORI positive. is there anything I can do to relieve the pain when the pain does come? is there anything I can take, over the counter or the like? Thanks so very much in lots of pain.
Avatar n tn If they tested for the presence to antibodies in the blood to H. pylori, and you've had an H. pylori infection in the past, the blood test would come up positive in that test. If a biopsy whas then taken - after the infection had been cleared up - the biopsy would show negative. If a person has had an H. pylori infection in the past and has been treated, the 'best' way of checking if the bacteria is still present is via a breath test.
