Avatar n tn My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. She began to have watery diarrhea and vomit. I took her to the doctor and they said she had gastroenteritis, but it's been a while now and she is still the same? Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I'm a 34 yr old male with moderate to severe anxiety. I'm a health care worker so I am obviously my on worse patient. I have been experiencing middle & left back & chest pain from time to time for the past few years, followed by anxiety. I always think the worse, HEART ATTACK! I've been to my doctor several times & had numerous EKGs, blood work, & x-rays. I've even used a heart monitor for two days twice before.
693811 tn?1245871706 NSAIDs are no help and indeed I find they worsen my problem. I also take pancreatin with meals. The pain sometimes radiates to my back. My husband recently had a bout of gastroenteritis and he had the same pain, but he also had N/V which I have not had. I did have chills, which are relieved by vitamin C (several grams per day). The hospital I work in has had a very slow moving gastroenteritis going through patients and staff.
Avatar f tn You could try taking plenty of fluids to keep yourself adequately hydrated and some OTC anti spasmodics for the pain. If the pain is severe, of you have dizziness or blood in stools or the diarrhoea does not seem to get better in 4-5 days, it is advised to see a primary care physician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn Your response definitely put me at ease 2 weeks ago, but I'm having a hard time letting my HIV concers go for the following reasons. (1) I'm still fighting naseau/diareah (for almost 4 weeks), (2) I had a rash all over my face and neck last night and (3) I started having severe lower back pain 2 days ago. I'm worried these are symptoms of ARS.

Avatar n tn I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV. She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
Avatar n tn Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?
Avatar f tn Hi. Since the end of February, I've been having sharp pain in my abdomen. The pain first started at my appendix area. I had all the symptoms of appendicitis. I went to emergency and they ruled out appendicitis. I had Constipation, gastroenteritis and IBS. Now, the gastroenteritis is gone, but the rest isn't. I still have the same symptoms from the beginning. My appendix area feels bloated. It now hurts so bad, I have difficulty and pain standing, walking or even sitting.
Avatar m tn specialist he ruled out the collitis and said it was gastroenteritis he told me to continue the levaquin i was prescribed. its been about a month now and my stool varies with every deffacation from semi hard to pure liquid to very loose im wondering how i can repair this and get back to normal. i also have had pains in my lower left abdominal region almost like i am constipated but even after a bowel movement it it still there.
535089 tn?1400673519 Hi to all. I was recently Hospitalized with Gastroenteritis/Colitis and was wondering if anyone could give me some options for a good food regiment (liquid diet) that would help calm the intestines. I have had a recent infection including Colitis, Gastroenteritis (sp). I would also like to know what the best OTC antacid might be to calm the tummy. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn A few days of meal replacement shakes, eating healthier, and my bowel movements started to move again, although it seemed to be softer stool. The pain in my back has dissipated, but I seem to be having little spasm type pains all over my abdomen and chest. I think it could be from straining. My stomach is still bothering me somewhat and I get the occasional gas pain. I went to a doctor who said it seems like gastroenteritis, but I haven't had diarrhea or nausea.
Avatar m tn i had my gallbladder out a year ago and only took the pain pills for a day, was driving by day 3 and havent had pain since.... you need to go back to dr....

Avatar n tn This has got me going crazy. I returned from a vaction on the 1st of June with a horrible stomach ache that lasted for a week, once that got better, the head aches started. It's a dull, constant throbbing pain I can basically feel all over but the most "pain" is a the top back of my head ... sometimes I can feel it in my temples. I went to the ER and got a CT Scan (negative) and blood work (negative) ... and they kinda went away after that.
