Avatar f tn I was hospitalized a few years ago with severe vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and dehydration. I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and acute pancreatitis. This is the only major GI problem I have ever had. I am very slender, 105 pounds, so I was wondering if maybe it was normal to feel a lump during digestion just because I am skinny and it's easy to feel my anatomy, or if I should be more concerned. Thanks!
Avatar n tn which was OK, This morning I had a banana and cup of Soymilk and again OK just the reminder dull ache of you better take care of yourself but after having lunch (white tuna w/onions and 1 T Mayo on white bread) 1 hour and 40 minutes later I was again dying of pain, bent over vomiting and trying not to pass out, this EXTREME episode laster 45 minutes to an hour. Avatar f tn Just take it easy, eat bland foods and rest a lot. Personally I would not take pain killers just because they can cause stomach issues and on a stomach that's already inflamed it can make it worse. While many things can cause stomach pain, it's extremely doubtful to be anything else if you were just exposed to people with stomach virus and then started to show classic symptoms of it.
Avatar m tn s gotten to the point where I now have a knot in the front lower left side of my abdomen that hurts severely by touch and some by movement, sharp stabbing pains in my navel area, sometimes directly behind or to the right side of my belly button, slight chest pains, and a bruise that has randomly appeared on the inside of my upper arm following a vein. The bruise came out of nowhere with no bodily harm having been done and appeared around the same time as the pain, and the knot came a day later.
Avatar f tn Hi I have always suffered with mild discomfort about 3inches above my belly button. The discomfort is central and sometimes slightly to the right side. This has been going on for 20years. My GP said I had a duodenal ulcer and treated it with omperazole this was 15 years ago. Jumping forward to present day and my symptoms have changed over the last few weeks. I now have a more dull discomfort that is ok when resting, however when I move it can be quite painful.
Avatar f tn As per Everydayhealth, medicinenet, Abdominal pain is common in a lot of illnesses, such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections (UTI), and pelvic inflammatory disease, an infection of a woman's reproductive organs. My symptoms are similar, I am totally confused. I need Help?
Avatar m tn The less air I have stored, it is more noticeable (the sensation and the sound). I must emphasize that this movement does not cause any pain or discomfort and i dont know if it was always there or if i noticed now because im more prone to it. The same discomfort sometimes ocurrs in the left upper quadrant, but is not as recurrent. Id say that 90% of the time is on the right upper quadrant and 10% is on the left one.

Avatar f tn I have had two abdominal/pelvic cat scans, an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound, an upper GI with small bowel through. Basically the only thing that showed was "significant diverticular in the sigmoid colon." I truly believe it is the diverticular causing the pain, but the doctors tell me diverticulosis usually does not cause pain, and only when the diverticular become infected and diverticulitis is present is pain experienced.

Avatar f tn I do have a pain on my lower right side again but the pain was there when the doctors cleared me so I do not understand. I had an upper abdominal ultrasound and it showed nothing and I am fine. What is going on? Why isn't my friend feeling well? should I be concerned? He did have the energy to go to work, and go in his pool could he be lying to me? Me - feeling fatigue and have diarrhea. My friend has nothing of this.
Avatar f tn In October of last year, I had a COMPLETE abdominal checkout. Upper and Lower Ultrasound..and then both a colonoscopy and endoscopy...and all were normal...so the chances of it being anything "major" are about non existant. The last time I had this was about 2 months ago. Now today I wake up feeling nauseaous again..some belching, and just feel...drained. Ive read that people try Pepto bismol....? Anybody have this same problem?
