A variety of diseases can cause nausea and
vomiting. Examples (this is not a complete list) include gastroenteritis
, food poisoning, acute non-gastrointestial infections (i.e. pneumonia, pyelonephritis), obstruction of the stomach, small bowel or colon, liver or gall bladder disease, pancreatic disease, peptic disease or cancer.
