1305558 tn?1302728951 A WBC count of 11.0–17.0x109/L cells would be considered mild to moderate leukocytosis. Eating, physical activity and stress can cause an increased WBC count. See your doctor again and look for the cause of your persistant brain infections.
Avatar f tn The white blood cells (hopefully number verified with a duplicate test to make sure accurate) being at that level is cnsidered slight leukocytosis according to and old manual of lab diagnostics tests I have which is a second edition by Frances Fischbach. Did they do a differential white blood cell count? Leukocytosis is typically owing to an elevation of just one typ of white blood cell.

Avatar n tn My 5yr old daughter has had very enlarged lymph nodes for over 6mths. At first, it was a 3-4cm cervical node on the right side. She now has a 1cm node on the left side, just above the clavicle. She has ongoing belly pain. She has had numerous blood test. Always showing lymphocytosis. Her lymp count is now up to 62% (normal is up to 40%). When they did a CT scan due to belly pain, they found "numeroud messentary and retroperitneal lymph nodes".
107693 tn?1252864443 the only medications i take is a blood pressure/water pill and cholestorol medications.... what can cause this and does anyone on this forum have the same situation...
Avatar n tn I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV. She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. She began to have watery diarrhea and vomit. I took her to the doctor and they said she had gastroenteritis, but it's been a while now and she is still the same? Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?
Avatar f tn (The hollow right under your ribs, in your upper stomach) Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever, malaise and general aches and pains. For most people symptoms subside within 1-3 days but you're contagious much longer. You can still pass the virus through your stool for 2 weeks or so and it can survive on surfaces for a long time too. Just take it easy, eat bland foods and rest a lot.
Avatar f tn I drop stuff all the time with my rt hand and arm. I was doing some research and found that the instruments used in my procedure where not recommended with someone who has Leukocytosis. The PEEK cage. My Leukocytosis has been Dx as Idiopathic, as 2 bone marrow Bx's have not been able to show anything. Wondering if my body may be rejecting the material in the PEEK or causing excessive bone growth.
Avatar m tn If it was present prior to use of that medicine, you could have had a gastroenteritis going on and that could explain why you still have an axillary lymph node enlargement. Have you recently had a diet change (added something that you never had previously). Have you increased dairy in your diet? Increased amount of fried foods?
Avatar f tn Every day since I went to the hospital to get checked out I was found out with gastroenteritis and 1 week later taking pills it went away. Now ever since then I've been going to the bathroom and what I've. Noticed is that my poop is yellow and floats. I think I may have malabsorption but I'm not to sure. I'd go to the doctor but my parents wouldn't wanna take me as I had gone to the doctor 4 weeks ago. I'm 14 and I'm overweight for my age. I'm 210 Pounds.
Avatar f tn Hi, i have leukocytosis and for some reason my doctors cant figure out why that is. (I always have recurrent UTIs) One month from finding out the same, im now having swollen lymph nodes, pinching feeling all over my body, short breath and feeling faint. (Collapsed when kneeling to pray the rosary). Now i am very paranoid and very worried that it might be a blood disorder. The last time i had a blood smear, it showed enlarged platelets. What's wrong with me?
Avatar n tn Hi! I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well... I'll assume you're not on any medication that would elevate your levels, anything like that. Leukocytosis [raised white count] can be due to anything and everything. In your body you have different types of white cells.
Avatar f tn Viral gastroenteritis symptoms may appear 1-3 days after you are infected and can range from mild to severe. Symptoms usually last just a day or two, but occasionally they may persist as long as 10 days. Because the symptoms are similar, it is easy to confuse diarrhea caused by viruses with diarrhea caused by bacteria (e.g., Clostridium difficile, salmonella, and E. coli) or parasites (e.g., giardia). If your symptoms persist, see your doctor for further workup and management.
Avatar n tn More lab work, peripheral smear, where it looks at the blood cell further shows leukocytosis and Neutrophillia. Chest X-ray was normal. I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2015. Not sure if any of it could be related. He thinks I should go to infectious disease to see if there’s an underlying infection somewhere. We’ve ruled out UTI, sinus and allergies. Been on antibiotics several times over the year. Looking for someone who’s gone through similar situation.
Avatar f tn i am 23 years old .i have urticaria for 40 days. my blood report showa slight neutrophiloc leukocytosis (75-76% differential count),no eosinophilia & other parameters are normal. My serum Ig E is also normal . I have also done ANA test within this time which is normal. The rash appears each day involves all over body surface, especially the limbs.
Avatar f tn I went to the doc after 5 days. He said its just viral gastroenteritis. I looked up the condition and it says you have vomiting and/or diarrhea, but i have neither. I am worried it is appendicitis, but the appendix is on the right side, not left. I am really in pain but i am taking my meds as described. Does this sound like viral gastroenteritis to you? I am in such severe pain just laying here typing this and barely moving.. Please help. Thank you.
1788584 tn?1315106518 Secondly Acid reflux gives you very bad stomach ache and usually lasts for a short time and you can possible be sick with it but feel much better straight away without diarroe and sickness ectr. I no this as i suffer from acid reflux myself. The term Gastroenteritis springs to mind as you say you have been sick and been havin toilet issues. This usually clears up within a few days and its like havin a flu virus or stomach bug.
