The only complication really is if you have an allergic reaction to the dye, but then medication is administered to counteract this. The anaesthetic used is not gaseous, so again there are no complications.

I have been in pain management for 3yrs.I have DDD of cervical and lumbar spine with pinched nerves and annular tears causing headaches,neck,arm,mid-back,low back,leg pain and also severe restless leg syndrome.Pain averages 5 on 1-10 scale.I have been taking ultram 2x and lortab 3x daily for 2 yrs.Doctor continues to ask me if I would start fentanyl therapy,which I have tried and only helps for 2 days and not 3 days which the dosage is set at.I have declined the fentanyl treatment and now DR.

I am 21 years old and have noticed in the past year that everyonce in a while i have blood on my tissue when i wipe after going #2. Sometimes its a little and sometimes it's a lot. Its not always there either. Sometimes when i go it hurts like contractions for having a baby until i'm able to relieve myself. It's often gaseous and in bits and pieces, usually when it happens i just take it VERY easy on what I eat and drink, but i don't know exactly what is causing this.

I am just shy of 5 months clean and here i am in so much pain. It just never ends, i finally get my life back together, get clean and now i am a mess. All the pain to get clean and stay clean was just a waste of time for me. How is one to live in pain and be opiate free, and yet can't take opiates because they got the best of me. I don't believe that pain management is usually a waste of time, nor that they are patronizing. In many cases they are quite delightful doctors and very aggressive in treating pain - often with novel therapies. They use the narcotics where needed, but often find ways to avoid them. I think the answer here is that obviously there are some in pain management that are incompetent and hard-nosed and there are some that are caring, and dedicated to relieving your pain.
