Gas symptoms in women

Common Questions and Answers about Gas symptoms in women

gas

I work in an office full of judgemental women and I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate my farts! My poor husband gets to deal with it all night after I get home.
NBCT, Thanks for the post. Q1:" ...if something like an event recorder can detect changes in a rythmn strip if someone uses it during an episode of subtle symptoms like back pain, shoulder pain, lightheadedness, or palpitations?" Event recorders are good at detecting changes in rhythm, but bad at detecting changes that might indicate ischemia (def: inadequate blood flow). Q2:"Would changes related to ischemia be obvious at that time, or is a twelve lead the best method?
I've been reading on other websites, most women say now that they look back they did have some symptoms or changes in their bodies. I was just wondering if any of you ladies feel the same.
well there are NO pregnancy symptoms to be honest. there are some things that are common in early pregnancy, but nothing that will tell you if you are pregnant or not. lots of women have all kinda of symptoms and are not pregnant, while some have none at all and are. since i was on progesterone as well, i had lots of bloating, gas, sore breasts, etc. but i had the exact same signs on cycles that did not result in a pregnancy as well. when do they want you to test?

A Woman Of Strength A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape… But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape. A strong woman isn't afraid of anything… But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear. / Could it be something serious? I'm a young women in my early twenties, and I do get a bit paranoid. I've looked up symptoms, and they range from stomach related problems to bowel cancer.

He prescibed Levaquin, an antibiotic, which helped alleviate the symptoms temporarily, for both vaginal discharge of gas and bloating in the digestive tract. Unfortunately, I wasn't told that I should be replacing the "good bacteria" that also die from antibiotics by consuming yogurt. When symptoms appeared again, I was prescribed Levaquin again, and the problem disappeared temporarily. When it reappeared, I was prescribed Bactrim, also with temporarily results.
Over the last few months I've found that I've become uncomfortable - for some strange reason, it feels like there are air or gas bubbles sitting in my vaginal canal. I am 22 and only 'active' with myself currently. I have not gained or lost any weight or had any other health concerns. Simply, one day when I went to bed I realised I felt uncomfortable, like there was a small air or gas bubble inside my vagina, only 3-4 inches in.
Tell me about it!!! I wish that there was a cure for gas pain and bloat. I suffer with the same symptoms...need to expel gas, gas "stuck" in my upper abdomen where I cannot move or zipper my pants and I might add that it is extremely painful. Sometimes I wish I could put a pin in my stomach and expel the gas to PSE&G because I would make a fortune. Along with this, I suffer from constipation. I have tried everything from phazyme to a shrink.
Over the past few years, I've also seen a correlation between gas in the bowel and from the vagina. I'm going in for a colonoscopy in 2 months, but it seems like ages, as this is very embarrassing in the corporate environment. It happens that when I'm sitting down, the gas collects in the uterus, and then when I stand up, the gas is expeled from the vagina. It is very disheartening that my gyn stated that if it's not due to a fistula, there may not really be a solution to the problem.
Since that time I have had severe gas in the upper stomach, foul smelling, it is sooo annoying. I have not been to the doctor as I have had enough of doctors right now with all the surgery. I did go in March about the gas, and the only thing the surgeon said was it was because I was swallowing too much air. But, I am eating the same way I was before. I have blamed it on the surgeries, but I would love to know what I could do to stop it.
I was on Armour Thyroid for many years with no problems and in Dec 2007 I started having heart palpitations and after 4 decreases in dosage, my doctor changed me to Synthroid in March. I have not felt right since - actually basically non-functioning. I went from 50 mcg to 75 to 88 mcg because I basically could not move off the couch. Anyway, I have been having stomach and abdominal burning - not actually pain - but very uncomfortable and it has been for probably 4 weeks now.
Sometimes I think it's all in my head too! It can really drive you nuts! I was having some similar symptoms last month and AF arrived..so I dunno. I'm gonna wait to see if AF comes, and if she doesn't that I will prolly test around the 24th just to be sure-but I will definitely keep you updated! Good Luck to you too!! Baby Dust***** I've been peeing a lot too....but who knows maybe I am going crazy! haha. Waitn838-what were some of the symptoms you journalized?
mommy- it so funny because after i had jaedyn i had bad gas pains and the moving gas felt like a baby. i would wake up in the middle of the night freaking out thinking i was still preggo but then seeing him right there. its funny now when something goes on in me belly and i look at jason and say, it just felt like a baby moving in my belly. you will need the pain meds for a little bit to help you through the day to day stuff. congrats on your milk coming in. hows the pumping going?
This was a huge change for my body, as I had rarely experienced ANY of those symptoms in my life before 2 years ago. I've tried digestive enzymes, increasing my fiber intake (food), fiber supplements, went to a naturopath, had an allergy test, avoided lactose and dairy, avoided gluten, tried apple cider vinegar and Hydrochloric acid pills, probiotics, intestamine pills, senekot, kept a food journal to notice triggers, and am currently trying bromelain. Nothing has worked.
I wish Savana was bigger to keep us warmer - I tell you I almost had a heart attack with our last gas bill . . . and we keep the temp in the 60s in our house! Ah well . . . . She is a really sweet kitty. (Don't laugh) but I am talking to a cat behavioral specialist on Friday b/c she is having a hard time getting used to the house and our other cat . . . and I won't give up on her!

But normally all my AF pain is in my lower back. It's a trait in my family. All the women have 100% back labor and we all have back cramps during AF. Weird. But this time my lower back is sore... but not cramping. All my cramps are just little twinge cramps in my abdomen. Way low, so I know it's not my stomach. So I don't know what that's about yet. We'll see in a few days. We're supposed to test on Sunday. Not much longer to wait now!
YES the anemia is a common companion to uterine fibroids and YES I have a huge one, two with one GIANT pedunculated one that sits in my abdominal area and another small one in the pelvic area. I have had gas and constant burping and pain for more than 24 hours. I feel full all the time but it is painful and I cannot sleep on my stomach. It feels as if a foot is pressed up against my chest and into my tummy causing the gas.

I have been experiencing constant burping (my boyfriend thinks it's gross) yawning, and gas feeling; almost as if i have bubbles in my stomache and behind my ribcage. In July I had my first anxiety attack, and since then I have been on an increasing dose of Zoloft and Clonazepam (which they are trying to decrease). I really hate taking medication, my doctor/therapist tells me to try not to think about it.
I have had both scleral buckel and the gas bubble in that order, and about 6 weeks since the bubble was installed. Bubble is about 75% gone and vision os blurry. I understood that cataracts would not form on my then existing lens implant. Can anyone comment on this? Can existing implants be removed and replaced?
There needs to be more support for women with UC and j-pouches. I felt like I was the only one in the world until you posted this. God Bless!!
