Try going without dairy for a few days and see if that helps. Many people with UC are lactose intolerant. If that works then you can try using lactaid tablets whenever you ingest. Gluten can also be a problem for those with inflammatory bowel diseases. If the dairy doesn't work then try a gluten free diet for a month and see if you improve. Cutting out raw vegetables, barley, beans - high fiber foods may help.
I avoided spicy foods and food that causes gas. I took Gas-Ex from time to time when the gas pain was severe. I took Pepto Bismol when I had diarrhea and cramping. I also took over the counter acid reducers for heartburn. My recommendation is to ask for a referral right away to a gynecologist and find out what other tests should be completed to further evaluate and treat the cyst.
My doc had to put me on Pepcid (prescription). It helps. You take it before meals. I get bloated also after eating but the Pepcid helps this not happen. Make sure you are eating enough fiber, drinking enough water and exercising. When I exercise more I don't seem to get so much boating.
Started back on regular food (for me) yesterday and am not experiencing the bloating I was before, so hopefully things are back to normal. Am feeling a little stuffed after eating sometimes (but I was eating small meals while on my diet of blandness) but no bloating like before. BTW, an aunt recommended Flaxseed Oil (in capsule) as a good dietery supplement to keep things regular. I have been taking anti-gas Legumase before diner and it seems to help (it doesn't hurt at least).
I am a 38 year old male in relatively good health and I too suffer from Skipped Heart Beats due to intestinal distension or gas. 1 to 4 hours after eating usually does it. Within that time I will experience missed beats followed by several quick follow up beats. Sometimes it has been so bad I have started to black out. Limiting what and how much I eat is the only thing I know of to help the situation. I have had some cardiac work done but everything comes back normal.

Their all about the same they just give me a little extra time until I have to eat or I will get real sick until I do and after eating or drinking certain thing can cause gas pains and other times im fine and can eat/drink whatever I want. I have had 2 upper endoscopys they just say my stomach produces to much acid. Im mainly just needing something to help control the gas pains or keep it from happening before it happens. My parents think I have something my grandpa use to have.
some kind of bad reaction to one of the foods could be causing ur stomach problems. there might be a medical reason for ur gas in stomach as well. maybe a visiting a specialist for ur stomach would be a good idea.
Thank you. I have been taking Nexium every day now. It has helped a lot with the trapped gas and some of the nausea I get after eating. I still get the "pressure in the throat" feeling and those sudden gag reflexes on random days. Still searching for a solution!
Ultrasound and blood tests are normal. dont have gas problems. no bowel problems. no family history of any gastric problems... I ve been taking prilosec, in case its an ulcer, but that has made no difference... The doc said that it might be lactose or glutamine intolerance. I havent been eating dairy products and i felt better, but now its back to the same intensity (still not eating dairy)... Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Just recently (every day for the past few days) after eating I have nausea, abdominal pain and loose stool. Last year I had to have precancerous tissue removed from my cervix. I suffer from recurring Ovarian cysts. Usually the pain is so severe from the cysts that I end up in the hospital. For the last 2 months, my OB-GYN has me on birth control pills (Yaz) to help shrink the cysts. I am still having the Ovarian cyst pain.

I HAVE TRIED DIGESTIVE ENZYMES OF ALL KINDS. THE GAS SMALL IS TERRIBLE. I AM DRIVING MY FAMILY NUTS. I AM ACTIVE AND I HAVE NO OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS. WHEN I AM NOT EATING THE WRONG THINGS I FEEL JUST GREAT.
I've been experiencing lightheadedness after eating for about 8 weeks. I'm 61, not overweight. The lightheadedness is followed by sweating, stiff neck and fatigue. ok now what if you have the nausea after eating and for the rest of the day/evening when your not eating and your not nervous or stressed out? its strange b/c if i were pregnant i dont know how it would be. i haven't had sex for 1 month cuz i had surgery and the last 3 days i have been with my fiance. its not posssible to experience prego symptoms 3 days in. ??
if ur hungry right after u eat just have lots of water instead of keeping eating
