Gas problems after eating

Common Questions and Answers about Gas problems after eating

gas

Avatar n tn I avoided spicy foods and food that causes gas. I took Gas-Ex from time to time when the gas pain was severe. I took Pepto Bismol when I had diarrhea and cramping. I also took over the counter acid reducers for heartburn. My recommendation is to ask for a referral right away to a gynecologist and find out what other tests should be completed to further evaluate and treat the cyst.
Avatar m tn Late march I have a very tense feeling in the gut (slightly above/below navel) which caused bloating/gas (burping/flatulence) shortly after eating (also feeling full early during eating). It was particularly bad after dinner/main meal. I also had slight anxiety(at lunch) but would go away quickly. Now since a week I have had a constant very tense feeling again in the gut (around navel) every day which has not gone away.
Avatar n tn It has helped a lot with the trapped gas and some of the nausea I get after eating. I still get the "pressure in the throat" feeling and those sudden gag reflexes on random days. Still searching for a solution!
Avatar f tn I've been experiencing lightheadedness after eating for about 8 weeks. I'm 61, not overweight. The lightheadedness is followed by sweating, stiff neck and fatigue. The biggest trigger is refined sugars; it can be as long as an hour delay with other foods. Fruit isn't a trigger. I've tried smaller, more frequent low carb meals, which helps, but not entirely. The symptoms are milder on days when I do cardio.
Avatar f tn I really don't want to go to another doctor so I am really trying to avoid it. I also don't want another colonoscopy until I have to have one. I had one three or so years ago. I am having difficulty eating without pain. It almost happens as soon as the food goes down. It has nothing to do with gas, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea or acid reflux. I really don't have problems with these things.
Avatar f tn For the last 2 weeks I have had problems with nausea, vomitting, lightheadedness, stomach cramps and gas. After I eat I feel very nausead like I am going to be sick but for the last couple of days I have been getting sick randomly even if I don't eat. And when I am done eating I still feel like I am starving. I'm not sure what is going on and would like some input.
Avatar m tn fish, shellfish, peanuts or tree nuts. In this case, you'd also experience face flushing or gagging. But, if with belching in the chest and throat, you have ment a heartburn, an acidic feeling, then this is from GERD - reflux. The first investigation in this case is a BREATH TEST for Helycobacter pylori - bacteria often found in the stomach.
Avatar f tn I keep telling my doctor that I have more pvc after eating of during and have lots of gas what can I do?
Avatar f tn You can also try peppermint tea or ginger tea alongside the motion they described. If this happened after eating a lot of fiber-rich food, try eating less of it and gradually building up. If this is a chronic problem, you should try going to the doctor anyway (and inquire about the financial help option mentioned by Monbeau92) because something could be wrong with your intestines.
Avatar n tn Everything I read about online says try changing foods that I eat, but I have tried all kinds of food and the gas still happens. I have never had problems eating any food either so that seems weird. Here is a list of other things that might be useful in finding an answer. 1. I take Remeron 22.5 mg a day.
Avatar m tn Am feeling a little stuffed after eating sometimes (but I was eating small meals while on my diet of blandness) but no bloating like before. BTW, an aunt recommended Flaxseed Oil (in capsule) as a good dietery supplement to keep things regular. I have been taking anti-gas Legumase before diner and it seems to help (it doesn't hurt at least). Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on that.

Avatar n tn My weight loss had been drastic, all it took was 4mos to lose about 1/4 of my previous weight. Ever since then, I had an irregular eating habbit, I only eat whenever I want to since I'm terrified of gaining back the weight that I had lost. Also, I had been taking some Chinese diet pills to satiate my hunger. However, just this January, I've been starting to feel stomach pains whenever I don't eat, and even if I eat, I still feel those pains.
Avatar n tn Hi, I would look into food intolerances. I recently realized I am lactose intolerant, (and possibly some other foods too,) but I have very similar episodes. Just a week ago, I felt very weak, nauseas, and wanted to just lie down after eating 2 fiber bars for breakfast (I've had some problems with them since this and have eliminated them from my diet) then I had a salad for lunch ( I also seem to have alot of problems with salads, even w/out the cheese.
Avatar f tn HI, Swelling of the stomach after eating can be due to gas and bloating. This is induced by gastritis or hyper-acidity. A change in diet, use of bland diet and having a diet rich in fibre - fruits and vegetables and probiotics will help. Consult your Doctor. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn With my evening meal I take 3-4 Beano (before eating) and 3-4 Gas-X (after eating). I take 3 Gas-X at bedtime. Sometimes this helps, sometimes it does not. In an effort not to overdose on them, and since early in the day the gas is less, I usually do not take them with breakfast or lunch. These pills sometimes seem to help, sometimes not. This is a huge problem. Please tell me there is a solution to this extremely significant problem. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have gas problems! Its awful no matter what I eat! Lol its embarrassing!
17935142 tn?1461561265 Do you lay down soon after eating? As for probiotics, the one to focus on is bifidus. Did anything stressful happen around the time this all started, and were you on antibiotics about the time this all started?
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor about a week ago and told him everything. I forgot to ask for a breath test though. He gave me a prescription for Omeprazole 20 mg when I told him I'd been taking it, so insurance pays for most of it now. In July I am supposed to go back if I don't get any better, which I don't think I will. He said he will take an x-ray then (barium x-ray I assume). This stuff isn't getting worse and I have stopped worrying about what it is (for the most part).
Avatar m tn It was a thudding wrenching pain that got especially worse after eating. After two consecutive ER trips, they did an ultrasound and found sludge. They told me that I needed to schedule an appt. with a surgeon, which I have, to get his opinion. My appt. is on Tuesday. Daily, I have been eating lots of veggies and fruit, drinking apple juice, taking turmeric and honey, taking apple cider vinegar, and eating way less fat. I have also started castor oil.
Avatar m tn His problems seem to get worse after eating greasy and spicy foods. He can not sit down after eating or his gas gets worse. He can not get much sleep because of his bloating problem. He does not have problems with constipation or diarrhea. I can hear him burping constantly after eating. He tells me that he can feel pressure or something when the food starts to come back up. He says he does not get heartburn. What could be his problem?
