Avatar f tn How long did it take to recover from c-section? What activities were limited during recovery? When did you start to feel ok or normal?
2083571 tn?1339481452 Has anyone experienced excruciating gas pains after a c-section? I'm having the worst 24hrs of my life, it's worse than labour...
Avatar f tn I have tried no dairy, my thyroid was checked and came back fine. I know this is not weight gain from the pregnancy because after I had my c-section I wasn't bloated for a few days and then I ate regular food and looked like I slipped a basketball under my shirt within 30 mintues after eating. Any ideas as to what it could be? I did the Gluten test & it came back Negative. During the EGD a tissue sample was taken for Celiac testing & that came back negative also.
Avatar f tn Haha wish I wouldve saw that yeah C-section is what I mean my son had his circumcision a week ago an I guess I was thinkin of that at the same time but no they didnt give me any laxatives I had a emergency C-section but they gave me gas pills which were taking forever to work.
Avatar f tn First time mom and I have to get a c-section. I was wondering other peoples experiences with them and recovery. If I should not be going up and down stairs if I really don't have to. Any input would help, I am a little nervous. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I had a c-section 4 days ago and now I have lower left pain not sure what it can be did anyone go through the same? Usually when I pee it hurts more.
4093350 tn?1358096154 I did, I chose a repeat c-section after my first emergency c-section, doctor gave me 2 dates to pick from and I chose one, and they did the pre op. where I met with an anesthesiologist, and met at the hospital for my c-section! Absolutely LOVED my c-section experience, especially since it was planned, it was so calming, so relaxing, and absolutely beautiful, honestly I wouldn't have had it any other way! Healing is really really not that bad either.
Avatar n tn I'm having a c-section Friday and I'm nervous! How long after can I eat and how long does it take to heal??
Avatar f tn My sister who has had a c-section and is pregnant again said that they will most likely just skip to her c-section since she has already had one. Just as a precaution I'd assume. Im not 100% sure about this though.

Avatar f tn I had a c section last Monday it's my second one and I recommend you to wash your c section daily and if it's hot where you are the I would probably shower twice a day and make sure you completely dry your c section before getting dressed..... my ob told me to put a clean piece of towel or a pad on the incision to keep the moist out..... wear loose clothing and some comfy underwear.... and I would recommend to walk so that you recover faster and don't bend down too much....
Avatar f tn I had a c-section 7 years ago and have to have another one because they did a t c-section. Dont have them do a T intersection because you have to always have c sections from this point on if they do one. Plus you have to go in at 36 weeks and have a c-section because it's dangerous because where it intersects it put too much strain on your uterus and the old scar can bust open. I am not looking forward to having another but am looking forward to meeting my son.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me today (even though last week is was different) that my baby is in breech, and isn't going to move and that I'll be having a c section (35 weeks 1d) he's bringing me in, in 2 weeks for another ultra sound just to make sure but I'm so scared! How is it? How do you feel during? After? Do you stay in the hospital longer? Can only one person Be in the delivery room? I'm just freaked out!!!
Avatar f tn I also had a c-section on 07/21/2011, since then really bad upper abdominal pains.I didn't have this problem with my first son(vaginal).I did have an ultra- sound, showed I have small gallonstones.personally I don't think that's the problem,I was fine until AFTER the c-section.I'm so stressed.
Avatar f tn they gave me a stool softener yesterday and its tmi but all i been doing is passing alot of gas. since i had a c section it hurts in my belly when i get cramping gas pains but they assured me it woukd hurt a little bit but if u take pains meds about 30-45 mins before it wont hurt as bad.
Avatar f tn Someone asked a C-Section question where someone mentioned that peppermint tea helps with the trapped wind? Does that mean the trapped gas you sometimes get after a C-Section? Because I always got really bad gas after both my other C-Sections. So if that's the case I'm sending my husband to the store!
11116547 tn?1415690651 Ladies after your c-section and you were in the hospital, did they give pain meds through the IV or pill form? If so what kind of pills? After you were discharged from the hospital what pain meds are prescribed for you? Reason im asking is because im horrible at taking pills,i have a phobia of choking when i swallow. My prenatal pills are chewable. Im just curious because im scared. Thank you.
Avatar f tn s very normal to be constipated after, your insides were cut open after all lol I got so backed up at the hospital I had a gas bubble in my shoulder after my emergency c section. What helps is a heating pad with gentle pressure and massage it out. If your breastfeeding it helps with the pain of engorgement too. Hope you feel better soon and congrats!
Avatar f tn So I was told today that I may have to have a c section cuz my baby is breached. So I was wondering if anyone who has had one could share their story?
Avatar f tn Anyone having problems using the restroom after their c section ?
1162258 tn?1306916207 t advise what I would do in your situation however I can tell you that I would NEVER have a c-section again unless absolutely medically necessasry. My c-section was with my first preg and it was an emergency one. I have since give birth vaginally to four more children and plan to go vaginal with this one if at all possible.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed months ago with acid reflux and take prilosec which helps. 2 weeks ago I had horrible stomach aches and saw the dr. Since then, I've continued to have horrible gas pains and bowel sounds. She sent me for a Ct thinking it was an intestine inflammation...she found 2 large complex cysts one on each ovary. I had an MRI on Sunday and she called saying they found 2 small simple cysts on the left ovary and nothing on the right. I'm so confused!
Avatar f tn s see, there nothing positive of c-section. I had emergency c-section 2 weeks ago. Recovery is a pain in the ***, also because my labor was long like 43 hrs, I end up getting infection. I have never felt so much pain.
5739386 tn?1378836460 Did they give you anything to take to help with constipation?? They should've been giving it to you in the hospital as well because the main meds can make you constipated. I was sent home with colace and told to take it twice daily and to make sure I was drinking plenty of water. Colace is also available w/out a prescription. I had a c section on the 25th and didn't have a movement until 5 days after my section.
Avatar f tn I just had my third c-section. First was the same as yours, 30 hours of labor to have an emergency c-section. This last one was my best recovery. I think it has to do with that I got up and moving just 13 hours after. I was off IV pain meds after 24 hours and got to have my IV out which mentally make me feel better not having that stuck in my hand.
