gas

768044 tn?1294223436 My head will often feel hot when I am having a migraine but not like that... and it has never felt worse when lying down... often it feels better lying down, unless the pain is so bad that I can lie down, but lying down doesn't make it worse then, it just doesn't make it any better... so lying down making the pain worse was just the weirdest thing ever.
Avatar m tn The pain is like sharp stabbing pain that only lasts 1 sec, and it will make you jolt/shock for 1 sec. This happens randomly but mostly when lying down although it has happened very rarely when I am sitting/standing. Maybe some nerves are not aligned in my head that's getting hit when I lie down or maybe there's some tumor, I am not sure. Has anyone experienced this before and have any tips?
Avatar n tn It depends on what kind of surgery. A vitrectomy with a gas fill will probably require face down but some vitrectomies use silicone oil which does not. I'm not a retinal subspecialist. Discuss the situation with the retinal subspecialist.
Avatar f tn So I've been ill on and off for some time with nausea, headaches, joint pain etc I've also had on and off hints of chest pain and tightness but now whenever I'm lying down (occasionally when standing) I can hardly breathe and my chest is very sore. I haven't been getting sleep because it bothers me too much to get to sleep. No matter whether I'm on my side or on my back, I am left breathless and in pain. I was wondering what could be a cause of this?
Avatar m tn I think this is very strange as most breathing and indigestion issues are worsened when lying down, but for me it is the complete opposite in both cases. My main concern is the breathing though as it is really effecting my quality of life. As I will not have health insurance for at least six months, I would appreciate any feedback at all. Thank you in advanced.
Avatar f tn The fact it happens after you have been lying down is why I believe Betty thinks it could be heartburn. Acid reflux is notorious for rearing its ugly head when you have been lying flat, which is why they advise you not to eat 2-3 hours before bedtime and to elevate/put a wedge under the head of your bed and not to eat spicy, fried, fatty, citrus, and dairy foods when you have gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Please go and get examined in person by a qualified physician!
Avatar n tn Is the pain relieved with lying down? Have you tried a gas reliever like Gas-Ex or Phazyme (simethicone)? Have you had normal bowel movements? Is there blood in your stool? Is it an odd color? Do you have diarrhea? Are you vomiting? Have an elevated temperature?
17776718 tn?1460263155 Hi, I have a 6 year old Leonberger girl (entire) who has been moaning in the process of laying down and when she has just lain down. I have been to the Vet and had x-Rays done, bloods and also two ten day trials of different pain relief for arthritis but to no avail. I really don't know what to do. She eats, plays and swims with enthusiasm however looks sad. She will often just sit and look at me rather than laying down as if she is asking me to help.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am having headache only when lying down. It repositions if I turn to the sides, sleeping face down helps relief the pain. It goes away when I sit up or stand up. It's worse if I sleep on a firm pillow. The pain varies every night. Please advise. Thank you. Avatar f tn s been really good for the most part, but tonight he was lying on the couch while I watched a movie. He dozed off lying facedown, but when I looked over a little while later, he'd rolled over on his back. Is accidentally sleeping on his back for several minutes enough to completely derail his treatment?
Avatar n tn You're fine. I'm 20 weeks and I do feel little flutters but only when I'm in bed laying down. Also u might confuse them with gas.
Avatar n tn Get good neck and head support when you are lying down. A cervical pillow and a flat stable bed will be beneficial. Get adequate sleep and eat well .I also suggest that you seek consult with an ophthalmologist and ENT specialist. Sinus headaches may present with a sensation of fullness or pressure. Eye problems may also manifest with headaches. It is best to have this ruled out first.
Avatar n tn They precluded low spinal fluid pressure from the spinal block because my headaches are worse, not better, when lying down. I had MRIs on my brain and all was fine. My blood pressure got quite high and I was prescribed hypotone. I was also put on Trepiline, Tramacet and Maxalt and an amjoxycillin (as I had a UTI). 4 days later I was feeling a bit better and was discharged- still on all the above meds, and so have had to discontinue breastfeeding (am expressing milk though).
1925157 tn?1328929017 The pain is probably gas build up because you won't pass the gas. Just let it go lady! LOL you'll feel soo much better! Already people are gassy but pregnant women are even more usually. It's just one of those things.
Avatar m tn Also does anyone have these symptoms with them, abdominal pain (mine on left side where I had a abdominal hernia repair but get some slight pain on other side too, also have ibs), crampy feeling, bloating, gas, tenderness when touched in that area and a sensation of pulling? Also eating is a pain. I have to eat small portions. It hurts when I sit down especially and lying down is no fun either.
Avatar m tn During the day, there is no pain or any awareness, but at night, while lying down, I can hardly get any rest and bothers me all night.
Avatar f tn Hi Back pain with referred pain to arm worse when sitting or lying down and feels better with movement is usually caused by ankylosing spondylitis. This is a genetic condition. Medicines, physiotherapy, exercises and drugs to suppress immunity are the mainstay of treatment. A back pain with referred pain to arm that is worse on lying down or felt mainly on lying down can also be due to a tumor within the spinal cord. A neurological examination can pinpoint the site.
Avatar f tn Do you feel the pain only when you lie down or all the time? If only when you lie down it may be GERD. I have that off and on I get sharp stabbing pain in my chest when I lay down. I have to get up and take Gas X. I know it sounds funny but it hurts terribly. I had an upper GI done and I do have GERD in the upper area so I don't get reflux. I some times get pain in my abdomen too. So it is possible you have this.
1549783 tn?1293993511 I am normaly a healthy 26 year old female but for the last 2 months I have had leftside abdominal and back pain when standing. I have no pain at all when sitting or lying down but when I'm on my feet for just few minutes the pain is unbearable. I have seen 2 doctors and had a CT scan, Xray's, urine and blood test done. First doctor found blood in urine and sent me for a CT scan which came clear, second retested urine and it came back fine. Second doctor found h.
Avatar f tn Crampy feelings near my right ovary, but down slightly. I also had a really sharp pain there when I tried to push out some gas yesterday. I went to my doctor today and she didn't seem to think it was an eptopic pregnancy, but is sending me for an early ultrasound tomorrow anyway to check the sac is in the right place. Has anybody experienced this before? What did it end up being? It's SO annoying.
