I have been having this pain in my upper left abdomen, under left breast. I've had a mammography, and all is normal. The pain is occasional. Has anyone had this? I'm having a colonscopy in a few days, but I don't think the test goes that far into the abdomen. I have had a colonoscopy 8 years ago and all was fine. If anyone has had this, please let me know.
Mostly the pain is in the left upper abdomen. nowadays i can feel the pain around the chest. I did urea breathe test to check for bacteria and there is no bacteria now but still i feel the pain in left upper abdomen which also radiates around my chest. The doctor said that the gastric is still there which is giving this pain. But the pain is continuous. I dont feel the pain only when i lie down flat. I also dont have any prblm while sleeping.
I am a 25 year old woman who for the past 4 years has had persistent and growing pain in the upper left quadrant of my abdomen. It is an almost constant pain felt more acutely when I sit and most when I lay down at the end of the day. It was relieved significantly during my pregnancy (my daughter is 18 mos now) but returned even more severely soon after I had her.

Having some pain in my upper abdomen right under my ribs. How can you tell if it's gas pain or something serious? I'm burping a lot and have been slightly constipated for the past 2 days, sorry for the over share, so I'm thinking it's gas pain. I just don't want to write it off if it could be something to be concerned about.
About 10 days ago I was walking through my house and all of a sudden i got a pain in my upper abdomen. Not a sharp pain, but a dull discomfort. I felt as I needed to rush to the restroom. I was constipated completely. Makes sense with the pain right? But the pain just hit out of no where. Well I stayed very constipated for about 3 days, and the pain stayed too. I took a full dosage of milk of magnesium. It seemed as it cleared me all out if ya know what i mean. It worked well.
About half an hour after the ice cream, I was sitting at the table with my laptop… I leaned to the left, and felt this bloated, stabbing sharp pain in the upper left side of my abdomen! Every time I moved to the left, I would feel it.
Over the next 2 days, I realized that I felt a bit constipated, and now I still have that sharp twinge in the upper left side, but also a very heavy, sore feeling inside the mid abdomen. Still feel bloated too.

Hello. I have had a laparoscopy about 10 years ago. They removed an ovarian cyst that had ruptured. I got on the pill and it was way better and didn't last as long. But my first day was always horrendous. Could barely walk and almost always had diarrhea. I dealt with it. I have recently stopped the pills to try and conceive. It's been over a year and it's not happening. That's not the huge issue here...yet. Now that I'm off the pill the periods are worse.

I'm a 24 year old guy healthy guy with no serious health problems in past,but from last two days i'm feeling pain in my upper left abdomin.There is no other problem,my appetite is fine,no gas problem is there,no digestion problem and there is no other problem in any other part of my body.
I usually get this pain after have large meal or sometimes it happens for no reason.It goes after sometime if relax a little bit or lie for a while.I don't know what is causing this problem.
Last week I started getting the worst pain in my upper right abdomen. It was a thudding wrenching pain that got especially worse after eating. After two consecutive ER trips, they did an ultrasound and found sludge. They told me that I needed to schedule an appt. with a surgeon, which I have, to get his opinion. My appt. is on Tuesday. Daily, I have been eating lots of veggies and fruit, drinking apple juice, taking turmeric and honey, taking apple cider vinegar, and eating way less fat.
I have been having pain in upper left abdomen ,just below the ribs for a few weeks now that has got really quite severe this past week.It seems to get worse when I eat also if I drink anything with sugar in it.I am worried that it could be my pancreas.Where is the pancreas located and does it correlate with left sided abdominal pain?If not what else could it be I wonder?I feel really ill.Thanks for any helpful advise.
