What causes gas pain in my left shoulder blade?

I suffer from IBS, Acid Reflux and Gastritis. I very frequently, even with medication, get agonizing pain right below my sternum. I suffered with this pain for 4 days straight and then it stopped. This time, after the pain that I have become accustom to stopped, I began having pain in the lower rib cage area that extended like a band around my body. I even have pain in my back (between shoulder blades and in shoulder blades).
For a long time now I've noticed that I had a sharp pain under my left shoulder blade that gets worse when I breathe and lay down, over the years(I am only 18) it got worse and now it's so bad I don't want to breathe. My co worker who is a licensed masseuse rubbed where it hurt and it basically just felt like it hurt before (not as much).
There's no way to force it out. You'll slowly 'out-gas' over a period of days following the surgery.
I have suffered from sharp pain under my shoulder blade in both shoulders now. The first one occured within days after I was out for a few hours throwing a football around with a friend. I kept hearing these popping sounds coming from my shoulder everytime I threw the ball but it didn't hurt so I kept going. A couple days later the pain started. It wasn't unbearable at first. Then it hurt more often.
I'm 25weeks. I have this awful pain on my right shoulder blade coming all the way down under my right boob. I used to only get it every so often but for the past few days I've had it every day and its a killer
Has anyone else had anything like this? If so did you do or try anything with it and what worked?

s difficult to get at and it is so painful is because the trigger point lies under the shoulder blade (scapula) and it is lodged between two bones - the rib and the shoulder blade.
If you have a masseuse work on this problem you must lay on your side so your arm hangs forward so your scapula (shoulder blade) moves out of the way.
You can relieve the pain yourself by laying on a tennis or golf balls while you lay on your back on the floor with your knees bent.

Your symptoms could be your gall bladder. I just had mine out this last Saturday due to it not functioning. It was only working 10% this was learned by having (h i d a ) scan done. In Dec. 06 I had shoulder surgery and had a long time getting better. I've since learned your gall bladder can cause shoulder pain and pain in your shoulder blade. I thought I might need shoulder replacement but majority of pain from gall bladder.
i a male 44 yr and i been having this pain on my left side of back under shoulder blade for some time and persisting, i had my heart and my Dr says it is OK, but pain still there, pain come when i move a certain way or they way i sit, and sort of radiate to my left shoulder, my Dr has now booked me for liver scan for signs of fatty liver the pain has been on for a while and i am worried, has anymore experienced the same symptoms before
Second, as Tuck mentioned, you may have myofascial pain. I had similar pain under my shoulder blade and upper/mid back and I was recently prescribed Lyrica which has helped me tremendously. Even though I do not have fibromyalgia because my pain in specifically located and began after surgery, this drug has helped me tremendously and has been a good alternative vs. opoids.
Lastly, Tuck's suggestion of another MRI is a good idea if possible.
For past 2 months whenever I eat any red meats or anything other than chicken and baked potato. My stomach starts to gurgle, severe gas pains upper abdomen and gas pains by shoulder blade. Md. took blood tests all negative. Had colonoscopy last year so he dont want to repeat that as pain is mostly upper. Did endoscopy biopsy showed all gastric juices inflamed and irritated. I take many medications for numerous problems over 30 years 19 pills a day so he thinks it finally caught up.
