Common Questions and Answers about Gas pain quick relief

gas

My Head was pounding with my heartbeat, I couldn't eat, and I couldn't sit still.. Any food that I ate turned into excessive gas and caused tremendous chest pain, as well as discomfort in the liver region. My Abdomen was sore, and it would flare up every few days. Being self employed, I had no insurance, and had to call a local clinic. Thankfully they saw me right away, and were alarmed to find my Blood Pressure was 190/140. I hadn't eaten in days, and I was severely dehydrated.
was just wondering what type of pain relief everyone uses or plans on using during labour...
Hey peeps, okay so another question.... What pain relief is people having/had during labor?
Hi there, I'm a little over 36 weeks and getting nervous about labour/delivery. I had 2 m/c's and wondering if that pain was the same or is it worse because the baby is bigger ? Okay,I know its "better " since I get a prize this time but, wondering about pain relief options. One sil told me get the epidural right away so that I can relax and avoid c-section.
Does it make much of a diffrence with the pain?
is the pain located on the right side as it could be a gall bladder problem ,it would be best to have it checked out,,good Luck
i have been taking pain meds since 2001. been going to a pain clinic. prescribed 90 in the beginning then after 2 months up to 120. this was ok for a bit. the script started lasting 3 weeks. after a couple more months, the 120 lasted me 10-12 days. when that ran out, i would buy some. when i could not find them, i would settle for percs, then a "friend" fronted me a 10mg oxy, then a 20mg, then she was fronting me 40s.
Just a quick question... My younger sister who is 20 yrs old and has never suffered from pvcs/palpitions etc had an endoscopy done 3 days ago for suspected acid reflux. During the procedure they blew air into her stomach to inflate it!! Since then she obviously has alot of stomach gas but she has been having non stop pvcs too!! Yesterday for about 6 hours every third beat was an ectopic!!
But I wanted to ask one question of you all. Just before expelling the gas I have a short sharp pain in lower abdomen that lasts only a short time but there appears to be a build up to the pain. Thanks in advance for responding.
I was thinking it was my gallbladder, but wasnt sure. Im not hurting now but like I saidd this was the worst one. And prob not the last.

SPOOOKYGIRL: please dont let this rule your life....
I have been having chronic nausea since November 2006 when it became an everyday affair. Always - everyday. Not enough to make me vomit. No pain except when I get a left lower abdomen pain that they believe is a mild form of diverticulosis. I have been to three gastros, two interns, had every test possible, was told that I have GERD but I don't get acid reflux and IBS which is a catch all when they don't know what you have. All the tests show little abnormalities but nothing dramatic.
Then, this irregular beating in my chest scares me and causes anxiety, then the viscous cycle repeats. The anxiety causes more chest pain, more gas, and more discomfort. I have been trying everything to treat myself. Changed my diet (was drinking lots of soda and taking NSAID pain relievers every day) for the most part, but due to my work schedule I do eat too much fast food to this day. I drink nothing but water now, I have been watching everything I do.

I was fine for a few days, but then began experiencing a shooting pain whenever i stepped on the outer pad of my right foot. This lasted a week, and from then on my symptoms began to expand. I started feeling a constant twitching in my right calf muscle, like when you're tired and your eye twitches. It was not visible to the naked eye as it was far enough under the skin to not be seen. I began to notice that any strain on the muscle at all would cause it to seize into a charlie horse cramp.
Partial relief should begin within 5 minutes, complete relief when the combined effect of the oral benedryl kicks in (20-30 minutes). relief from the itching should last approx 3 to 6 hours. All the benedryl WILL make you sleepy. NOTE: sometimes the lanacaine alone works pretty well but for best results consistently I had to do ALL the steps EXACTLY as I described. My doc said it was a pretty ingenious regimen I came up with and had nothing bad to say about it.
Try Treating with gas relief Medication. Works for Me Doc said it was Acid Flex. Wrong i call It gas Flex. Burnt my Throat, Heart Accellerations Was hooked up to Ekg as Well. Nothing found wrong. And all The Terrible Anixty Attacks. Doctors Need to figure this one out! But i know its gas, Air Gurgling in The stomach is a Sure Sign. Treat with gas X or other relief. I even stop all the Reflex Medicine. hope it works for you all.
However, in a young woman as yourself this would be unlikely to be the case. As far as urinaton or bowel gas along with this pain, this is likely not related to your heart.
It will not make one bit of difference as to the healing of your fissure operation. pain medicines are to give you relief from your definite discomfort when you have a bowel movement whilst trying to heal up from the fissure operation. I personally would take the pain pills as prescribed, but since you had asked whether you should take them, I gave you some ideas about coping with any side effects.
Good day. Twice in about a month this has happened. I get what feels like an over abundance of gas just looming inside my stomach. My whole lower/mid abdomen is in severe discomfort to the point where walking, standing up straight, and getting up and down are very difficult. My stomach gets extremely bloated-out to the point where I have to unbutton my pants for comfort. Pressing on my stomach and crunching my legs up towards the stomach are very uncomfortable.
After the tests came back, they said I had a hernia from my stomach that protruded through the diaphragm into the chest cavity behind my heart and was pressing on a nerve around my heart and that was what was causing my pain. All I know is that every time I have a gas problem, I get that pain again in the upper left side of my chest. It usually moves to my left arm then around to my upper back. It makes it very hard to sleep.
Once any kind of stone gets hung up in the ducts it will trigger a attack and cause symptoms ranging from, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, pain from the gallbladder region, back pain, and severe heartburn. I had it removed laparoscopically. They go through your belly button and make several small incision on your abdomen. The recovery time is much faster this way. They usually give you a girdle type band to wear, and please do wear this for support after the surgery.
and I am desperately trying to figure out why I continue to break out in hives and have joint pain in my elbows, feet, hands and legs. I too started breaking out in hives after taking the antibotic Solodyn for acne. After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative.
But I still have the burning sensation, accompanied with pains that pop up all over my abdominal area and under my navel(presumably gas, since the pain lessened (greatly) after taking some gas relief pills. The pain in the middle still remains the same, though). The doctor mentioned it might be gastritis, and mentioned to stay on the Lansoprazole. I'm mainly concerned with the burning sensation and sweating, which I can't seem to find a stable correlation to.

Congrats on getting such a quick diagnosis. That is great news! I've had more than a few ovarian cysts in my life, and boy do they ever hurt when they rupture. Zowie!
15 AM - I am not having any pain. I can't believe it could be that simple but it sure would be nice if it was. I am going to look up more info on GERD to see what triggers that and what preventive steps I can try.
