gas

Avatar n tn It affects the amount of stomach acid produced, the amount of blood flow into the live and also has the ability to slow down the heart rate. It is also believed by some experts that excessive gas build up in the stomach can put pressure on the nerve causing palpitations and other side effects.
Avatar f tn I am 35 and I have been experiencing a rapid heart rate after I eat. I also get a warm sensation in my stomach and I feel like I have to go to sleep immediately after I eat. My heart begins to race and while I'm sleeping my arm goes numb...it is not "prickly" like it is asleep it is just numb. When I get up and walk around after I wake up the numbness goes away. I just feel terrible after I eat. Otherwise, I feel fine. What could be causing this?????
Avatar m tn Im not sure its ur typical SVT maybe there is some SVT thrown in there but I don't think thats whats going on the whole time. The event monitor showed one run of PAC and two runs of Mobitz 1 Blockage durning my rapid rate. These events only come on durning the rapid rate. Now I reallt can't narrow down what brings on the rapid rate because its never the same. Sometimes if im to active I get it sonetimes not sonetimes I can do nothing all day and get it.
Avatar n tn I purchased a heart rate monitor to keep track of my target heart rate and have quickly noticed my heart rate is quite fast. My resting heart rate is 84 bpm. This was taken this morning when I woke up and was still lying in bed. A few days ago when I was working out I checked my heart rate and it was pretty steady at about 155 bpm. At one point when I increased the speed and incline of the treadmill, it peaked at about 180 bpm.
Avatar m tn An alternative cardiologist listened to me describe my gas and burping and passing wind and said the gas was connected to the afib...that gas was pressing on the vagus nerve and causing the heart to misfire and beat too fast and out of rhythm. I took gas X and eventually the symptoms and the heart problems went away. This was six years ago. Now, the problem is back. I have had a cardioversion to get the heart back to sinus rhythm, but it didn't work.
Avatar n tn An abnormally fast heart rate can cause low blood pressure. The most common example of heart rate causing low blood pressure is atrial fibrillation. Explanation: A-fib is a disorder of the heart characterized by rapid and irregular electrical discharges from the muscle of the heart causing the pumping chambers to contract irregularly and (usually) rapidly.
Avatar f tn This leads to difficulty in breathing and tightening of chest wall, which eventually results in the pain in chest. If the symptoms of heart attack such as palpitations, rapid heart rate, sweating, pale skin are not experienced with a left chest pain, it is often an indication that the person is suffering from acidity or gas or heartburn. Left side chest pain, often generates the ripples of panic in the individual and his relatives.
Avatar f tn I know my body and this is caused from gas and probably smoking and most recently drinking coffee, which causes the gas. If I feel gas I can tell if my heart is going to go out of rhythm. Twice I've had to had a injection to get it back in rhythm once was 27 years ago and the next time was 16 years ago. I can usually with the exception of twice get it back into rhythm by holding my breath.
Avatar n tn From my own experience, when I am fighting off an infection my heart rate will increase, but 120 to 140 for 4 days from 60 seems worthy of attention, So my question to you is have you been to the doctor to see what it is that is causing this as any infections need to be treated to stop your body being under pressure and you need to make sure that everything else is OK dave.
891731 tn?1241443547 I am about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. I have been feeling my pulse is very fast. Yesterday my resting heart rate was 120 or so. Right now it's 150-160 BPM. What could be causing this??? This seems very fast....Help!
Avatar f tn I go to bed and my resting heart rate is 123. Right when I get in bed it is 196. My burps are accompanied with a gas like taste and smell. This only happens 1 or 2 burps. Along with the multiple BM's, I dry heave, sweat profousley and want to pass out. It is as if my body is going into shock. I loose all the color in my face, and get clammy. I MUST sit or lay down, otherwise I will pass out. I do not do caffeine. I am, however a Celiac.
Avatar f tn m struggling with extreme fatigue upon standing, rapid heart rate some coughing and sometimes dizziness. This has been going on for three weeks. any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Yes,the doctor gave you the Ativan just for this reason. Take it on a prn basis only. Your heart rate is rapid but not considered tachycardic. You're most likely having anxiety, which is to be expected. Maybe today the doctor will give you clonidine. It's a B/P med but helps considerably. V.
Avatar n tn Each time I stayed in sinus rhythm but the heart rate went up to 126 at the highest, and this was while I was on a calcium channel blocker, diltiazem, started by the internist who caught the rapid heart rate. The cardiologist switched me to verapamil and so far I haven't had any more episodes. I have kept track of my heart rate and BP for the last two months to see if there was a trend and because I'm trained as a scientist and we thrive on data!
Avatar f tn I think it is good your heart rate can go down to the 70s without any medication. My heart rate has never gone down to the 70s until recently, and that is only because I'm now on beta blockers. I know from experience your heart will not give out because it is racing over 100 bpm, but go to a doctor ASAP.
Avatar n tn Then today I was at the gym and did my normal run and my heart rate was around 132bpm, however a couple of minutes after stepping off the machine I could feel my heart racing - my heart rate monitor showed it rose very quickly to 170bpm. Normally I'm in very good control of my heart rate but this time I couldn't slow it down.
Avatar n tn I think that you should make a call to your Dr to get the ball rolling on confirming a diagnosis to this rapid heart rate. Please give us an update so that we know how you are making out with this.
