Avatar n tn My doctor said I had acid reflux and a vitamin b12 deffecincy but the medication seemed to worsen my symptoms making me vomit a lot more ( a lot more bile and also foam even making it come up my throat without vomiting) and feel nauseus almost everyday so I took myself off of it. I don't believe that I have reflux because I can never feel the acid coming up my throat except when I was taking this medication. I also am always tired no matter how much sleep I have.

I had a hard time keeping it down at first, but eventually did. I spent the next 2 days in bed, sweating and chilled, no appetite, totally worn out. Really sick feeling - didnt feel like talking, reading, just laying there. I had been constipated, and I have IBS they say. Along with fibromyalgia, OA, chronic fatigue, GERD.
592969 tn?1248329005 Keep him hydrated. Use an eye dropper or syringe and provide water. vomiting causes dehydration which can lead to horrible consequences. I'd quit Fancy Feast for good and switch him to other foods. Try Wellness or Natural Balance, see what happens. These foods are grain free, which could be what's causing your cat to vomit. Could be.. Good Luck!

Avatar f tn I cant take anything with a stimulant due to the tachycardia. At times will get this pain above my stomach which causes swelling and to the point I have to lie down to get any relief. But the main problem is with the constipation, lower abdominal swelling(NO nausea, vomiting, change in appetite)but everyday I take Miralax to enable myself to is soft, yet formed, about the size of a hotdog or maybe a little smaller. If I wear tighter pants, bend over or sit for a period of time,it causes swelling.

Avatar f tn to those of you who are suffering from sulfur burps, vomiting, cramping, bloating, and diarrha I may have finally found the answer. I have had periodic boats of the above for the past 10 years. I have asked many doctors what could be the cause and got no answers. The "attacks" only last a day or two and don't occur frequently so I would just deal with it. Finally a friend / nurse told me that it sounded like H Pylori infection.
Avatar f tn Since all possible causes of vomiting have been ruled out, there is a possibility that this is cyclical vomiting syndrome. This is characterized by bouts of unexplained vomiting that stop as they came with a symptom free period and start again. There is no test to diagnose it yet. Diagnosis is made by a careful history which shows that each vomiting episode was similar to the previous one in terms of pattern, duration and symptoms.
Avatar f tn I also have a similar problem, and I have given up on doctors. I found that eating rice/bread etc (anything starchy) causes lots of gas for me. I still suffer mildly with the problem, and even if i eat a small piece of bread or something, i SUFFER for a whole day. I also use peppermint pills and simethicone. My problem is not totally gone, but it's a lot better than it used to be.
Avatar n tn My mom has type II liver cancer, papillaris bile cell duct tumor (cholangiocarcinoma) she had been doing great, but know she feels full all the time, water makes her nauseas, and at this moment has debilating upper right side pain. She says it feels like gas. What can I do to ease her pain? I gave her hot anise tea, I have been placing warm towels on her. It's terrible to see that way. Please send suggestions.
Avatar n tn It sounds to me like something inflammatory as it has been known to come and go. Its like he has flair ups. Celiac disease causes alot of his symptoms like gas, bloating and such and Chrohns flairs up often and causes weight loss and flu like symptoms. Call for an appointment. He doesn't want to let this go without seeing a gastroenterologist. Good luck and please let me know what you find out!
Avatar f tn I am on special diets such as Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gottschall and the Paleo diet. Very health oreinted and holistic. The nissen causes an extreme gas bloat syndrome in 10 to 41% of patients. This extreme bloat causes terrible stress to the digestive track. I look like I am 9 months pregnant by evening. Very painful. This extreme stress has caused the bowel to become very tortuous, spasming trying to move the feces/gas through thus causing the diverticuli.
Avatar n tn I started a couple months ago with occassional floating stools and increased gas. I didn't think much of it until one day I had bad diarrhea and the gas was horrible. I had fast-food that day so thought that to be the cause. Then I had it for another week, though not as bad. I went to the doctor, he put me on a liquid diet, that didn't work, I had a couple normal BM's inbetween but finally it got worse again so I went back. He just sent me for some tests. I'm nervous though.
Avatar n tn Hello, Sometimes severe coughing can lead to vomiting. There are many causes of nausea. Stress, medications, reflux disease, gastritis, hepatitis, migraine; CNS causes are few conditions presenting wit nausea and headache. The presence of associated symptoms and clinical examination findings may be important for correct diagnosis and treatment. It is possible that GERD is causing acid and food to reflux back. You will need antacids and medications for your cough. Take light food.
328799 tn?1276569332 I think your anxiety is playing with you, because an anxious stomach causes loose stools and cramps. Relax and don't worry. You didn't eat any! And even if you did, not everyone gets it. For example, I have a huge fear of vomiting, and when the stomach flu comes around my area, I freak out, thinking I have it. I have nausea, diarrhea, etc, but I've never thrown up. I think a lot of times the anxiety can really cause your body this stress. And the IBS?
Avatar f tn I can still eat strawberries and blackberries though. Occasionally rare beef causes the symptoms, but not always. Same thing with lettuce, especially iceberg lettuce. Walnuts and raw almonds, but not other kinds of nuts so far and roasted almonds are ok. Peanut butter, except for the stuff that I have ground fresh at the health food store. I was ok with Jif brand until recently, now even a teaspoon of it sends me into extreme pain.
Avatar m tn It feels like I have to pass gas or have a bm, and often I do but the feeling only subsides for a small time (often after a bm it becomes more of a dull ache then a bloated feeling). The more I can remain up and active or laying down seems to help, sitting down aggravates the feeling and becomes rather uncomfortable after a time. The only way I have found to get rid of the feeling completely is to lay on my stomach for an hour or two, that makes the feeling go away.
Avatar n tn If you've had a prior abdominal surgery, then possibly adhesions could be causing a partial bowel obstruction. This can come on fairly quickly, 2-4 hrs after you've eaten and causes extreme abdominal pain, distention & vomiting. Rarely would this be a cause if you DO NOT have a prior history of abdominal surgeries.
Avatar f tn Rotten Egg Burps (the WORST part) followed by nausea, severe cramps, vomiting, diarrea, the works. Only after throwing up everything I'd ever eaten in my entire life would it go away eventually. Doctors never knew what was wrong and there's still nothing much online about the cause of this illness. After logging what I ate for quite a while, we figured out that the common denominator was RED DYE #40!
Avatar n tn The strangest symptons though are just constant vibrations or movements in my intestinal area, bad heart burn, bad gas, and a feeling like I have to burp but just cant. Im hoping that my heart is fine and the feelings are just from my focusing on it too much, but I just dont know. Can anyone relate to this? Its been 3 months and I cant even sleep anymore.
Avatar f tn There are some bacteria in the gut that produce hydrogen sulfide gas. Sometimes this gas is produced in such huge quantities that the sulfide oxidase enzyme in the wall of the gut is not able to oxidize all of it and convert it to thiosulfate. This gas has a smell of rotten eggs. You need to cut down food items that contain sulfites. Most of this gas comes from sulfites a person consumes, which is a part of all preservatives.
Avatar f tn The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, pelvic infections, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. So, please consult your primary care physician and if you cannot reach him soon enough go to the concerned hospitals emergency. Regards.
Avatar n tn Fat free chicken broth causes bloating, gas and nausea. Started taking pancreatin (pancrease enzymes) two days ago, and they seem to help with weakness but the other symptoms still remain to a slightly lesser degree. I had a parathyroidectomy about a year ago. I had hypercalcemia due the the hyperparathyroidism for at least 10 yrs. I read on the mayo clinic page that hyperparathyroidism could cause pancreatitis, but the hyperparathyroidism has been corrected for over a year now.
Avatar n tn I am a 27 year old female who has been on oral contraceptives since I was 13 for an ovarian cyst. Anyway, I have noticed bloating and gas for about two years. Then, I started vomiting about 9 months ago for no reason what-so-ever. Sometimes it would happen after I ate, sometimes when I ate nothing at all, sometimes in the AM, and sometimes in the PM. I went to my Dr. and they did blood work and an ultrasound.

Avatar n tn I'd then get up thinking that it's a regular stomachache, however I'll feel bloated, and full of gas. About an hour or so, I'll start vomiting non-stop. to stop it, I have to hold my breath and cover the smell because the rotten egg smell induces my vomiting. The smell will slowly go away afterward. Sometimes, following the vomiting is diarrhea. A few weeks ago, I woke up feeling bad. I burped, rotten eggs smell. I was scared of it. The last time I had it was around 10 months before.
