More so than taking hydrocodone 5-325 or tramadol 50 mg. Neither of which I liked to take. I am a recovering addict and scared to death of opiates. Besides my knees and back and hands don't hurt as much. Those other meds, 2xs a day didn't touch I haven't had to ***** today, and I am getting my focus back.

That being said 2 naproxen and one 10 mg oxycodone taken with an hour or two is not likely to cause death from an overdose, if you have been taking the opiate regularly and without interuption.
Increasing dosage, which many patients do without consulting their physicians, can increase dependency risk and can even lead to overdose or death. At the Waismann Method Treatment center we take our patients to Domus Retreat after detoxifcation for a better evaluation on their pain level. We begin treatment with non narcotics and provide yoga, acupunture, massage and other forms on therapies that can help with prescription abstinance and pain control.
In the past, harsher restrictions were placed on methadone and oxycodone painkiller medication; however, they account for more deaths from overdose than hydrocodone. Furthermore, some people suggest that since painkiller medication is under such restrictions, people with prescription drug addictions will find other, more available drugs, such as heroin. Dr.
I have been on the fentanyl patches for 5 years and have had the worst side affects of any medications I have ever taken in my life, and believe me I've been on plenty to be a pharmacy tech without the schooling (that's what it seems like if you know what I mean). Anyway I have also been taking opioid pain meds other than the fentanyl for over 10 years.

hi Michael good job getting through the day. 2400mg is too much my friend. blurry vision is a sign of overdose of gabapentin. go about 1/2 of that yes you are going to feel some withdrawal. stay hydrated, drink, Gatorade, water, are you eating?
A toxocology was done. I have not picked up the info as yet but when I called they said there were no toxic levels in his system. They had found an empty hydrocodone bottle next to his bed and thought he may have committed suicide but I am sure his room mates just took the pills. Yes I am not sure how all these were filled and not flagged. The list is what I pulled frome Walgreens. I do not think they were doing there job. On May 6th he had 17 perscriptions filled.
We both work two jobs and usually work 6 days a week and STILL had absolutely no money to show for, (the person who got us hook started charging up the ***, figures) Now that my boyfriend lost one of his jobs, we had no choice but too quit, plus were both started back into school in 2 months and NEED to get off. I'm so sick of this evil **** ruining my life. I keep thinking death would be easier then this withdrawals. We both do about 40-80 mg of oxy a day.

I've read that the usual recommended daily allowance of Vit D is likely insufficient for people who don't get sun, and the supposed level of toxicity is about 2000 IU, but if my tank is empty, then I'm not concerned about overdose, just about a bad physical reaction to a big whopping dose. Since I posted a few days ago, I've been taking the smaller 1000 - 2000 doses of Vit D, so it's giving me courage to take the huge doses like the dr prescribed. Just a nervous Nelly here.
I agree, Tylenol is death. Bad for the liver and in large doses it kills by destroying the liver. Vicoprofen is perfect it has a narcotic element, hydrocodone and ibuprofen for an anti-inflammatory. If that doesn't work for you, try going one step up to oxycodone. Do not confuse oxycodone with oxycontin, same narcotic but very different delivery method. Five milligram oxycodone are safe and effective and come in a small enough dose that you can take an effective dose without getting groggy.
I am not in favor of using cortisone because of the huge risk of diabetes, ask your Vet about meds specifically for nerve pain such as gabapentin...although it does come with some risks too...but not fair to leave the poor little girl in pain either.. Also ask your Vet about a compound pharmacy, many medications can be made up into a paste as opposed to a pill than a small amount of the paste can be just wiped into the inside of the ear flap and absorbed that way...
You are put on phenabarbital for three days to get you out of the dangerous of seizuers and death. Two substances you can die from, alchohol and benz's. Never ever try coming off cold turkey, YOU CAN DIE.
Nick's Dr had apparently told him to do this and it is NOT recommended as it will cause death. There have been numerous cases where death has occurred from doing this. I have provided links to this fact if you want to check them out.
I was also diagnosed with Brachioradial Pruritius. My doctor prescribed Gabapentin 100 mg 3xdaily along with a twice daily application of Fluocinonide Cream 0.05% and the horrible itching went from a scale of 10 to around 1 or 2 within a few days. It still itches a bit but it's nothing like the nightmare itching before I began the Gabapentin and Fluocinonide. Please give it a try folks. It has made a miracle difference in my life.
basicaly flu like symptoms week one, you are in no real danger with the withdrawls, tho you may feel like death. there is a receipe of vitamins here at this fourm known as thomas receipe, im sure you have seen it if you have been reading the last few months. the shits in week one will deplete you of all nutreints in your body ,this will make the withdrawls more painful, so it is advised to take imodium in the 1st week.

I never thought I could get off the pills myself and I would probably die from an overdose or get shot because I was in the bad part of town. Thankfully I survived and am now dedicated to staying sober and helping anyone I can. This site is great for support so you are one step in the right direction!
That to me was worse than death and kept using for along time because of my fear. Once I heard about sub, I was sceptical but was assured by my doc that I was going to be okay and to give it a chance. I did and I haven't used heroin since. Is it a miracle drug? NO. But....it gave me a chance to slow down and and get my mind "right" and to put all that fear into perspective. I am probably on the slowest ween ever!!
Clearly, the patient is challenged to quickly find another provider unless the prior doctor made arrangements. Death, or very, very, very serious suffering could commence without at least a taper down effort for the patient. True, the patient would suffer terrible pain, long after withdraw, but would still live. However, in this instance, (patient is tapered) to be legally actionable, his suffering began before he dealt with a doctor, little claim could be made.
I too had a bout with B-6 overdose when ingesting 200-300 mg/day for a mild case of carpal tunnel. My symptoms were not as serious as others mentioned here since I was on them for less than 2 weeks, but it was scary and did mess with my thyroid, heart, intestines, and I had vertigo in addition to numbess, pain and tingling. I think I was toxic this quickly due to some kidney impairment. Anyways, I am very glad to hear other sufferers are recovering.
I was afraid to overdose so I just suffered. Then a friend of mine told me that his wife is also on them and she takes two at a time which helps. So that is what I did. It did help. I told my doc & he said no that is to much and then switched me to morphine. Just tell the doc what you are taking is not doing a thing. See what he says.
