Good morning yall! I slept for 9 hours last night! I think the gabapentin helps me sleep! I have to admit that I woke up at 4 and automatically grabbed the 5 pills no thinking so I ran to the bathroom and flushed them! I am so glad that I didn't take them! I really wanted yo prove to myself that I could quit with them right here but after 2 years it is a natural action for me to take them when I get up. So now they are gone! Gotta say that I'm not feeling as strong today.

My GP is going to arrange for me to see a different rheumatologist in the city rather than local. I dont care as long as I get somewhere. All I want is some peace no pain is that too much to ask really. They offer me medication to help the nerve pain but cant tell me why I am in pain enough to have this medication its ludicrous LOL. They gave me gabapentin which is horrible and made me feel spaced out, and Amytriptline for the night and when I took it I could hardly get up in the morning.

My symptoms were light headed feeling, tunnel vision feeling, daydreaming, butterflies in the gut and other areas of the body, the craps, runny nose, not able to pay attention to anything other than when can I get another 4 - 6 pills to pop at one time. The GABAPENTIN was a miracle worker for me. Please post tomorrow and let me know how our day went. i have tried the cymbalta with no success, the lyrica can be quite sedating so my doctor advised me not to try that one since the rest of my medications are. i am waiting on a perscription for the Savella and have been taking the Gabapentin on a regular basis. the gabapentin does help alot with my back pain but there are lingering effects of the disease.
The recurrent outbreaks usually are too infrequent to be worth the expense and inconvenience, and sexual transmission of genital HSV-1 is not common, so continuing treatment probably doesn't help very much in protecting partners. For all those reasons, I see no need for repeat testing for HSV. The main reason would be if there is any question about the initial diagnosis of HSV-1.
And she is suffering----her trees ripped from her skin-soil---animals tortured for food--children--well you know the story---so why quibble about who or what needs help? Beautiful humans-----?? Look at the result of the "beautiful human" greed....yes there is good---but look at our Mother---our home is being destroyed and you can not "semantic" or "talking point" your way out of the responsibility to clean up your own act so you can be a solution.

Now having MS and trying it again at 60, It helps. It is a plant! It is okay for me to take heroine, because it is pill form? LOL= What a joke! Alcohol is much worse, believe me because I drink like a fish & usually get nasty? I would rather kill my pain with something natural. Enough said!
Anyway, he talked about how it has been approved for MS patients who have trouble with walking. He commented on what a big deal this is for people with MS, not just because of what it can do, but because it is "...the first MS medication that can be taken as a pill instead of injection," or something to that effect. Huh? This drug is not a DMD for MS. It is a drug to treat MS symptoms. There are countless oral meds to treat the wide variety of MS symptoms.

I was also told they were giving me something else I can't remember-nope. But they did give me a script for Gabapentin. I don't really care to try this stuff, but I'll give it a go I guess. I am not sure why, but this doctor wants me to come back in 6 months. I'm not going to bother. If I do have fibro, I will just see someone closer to me. This doctor is very expensive and he won't treat my symptoms either. I don't care what I have anymore, really I don't.
I am a 48 yr old female who has been obsessively tweezing hair from my face and neck and also picking and scratching my scalp for over 30 yrs. For the majority of the time i enjoyed it immensely and would pluck hair on my face that didnt "feel" right or was in places i didnt want it to be and also would scrape my scalp with my nails looking for any crust to pick at.

I didn't have a bypass but 7 days ago I has 2 disk cervical discenecotomy with all the add ons. I was kind of wound up about the procedure as I had 1 disc similarly worked on in 1997. When the question of morphine came up, I always said yes hoping this would affect the pain cramping fatigue and desperation I experienced back in 1997. I was also given loads of Lortab as well as Gabapentin and some muscle relaxers for a week prior.
I bought a ticket at the station for Columbus and an extra visit with the MS nurse to review some recent developments forTuesday. I take Baclofen to combat stiffness, Cymbalta, Neurontin and now Fentanyl patches all for pain. My doctor recently switched me from Morphine to the patches. None of this is helping me. Personally my pain is very similar to diabetic nerve pain and I use Gabapentin and for the muscle spasms I use Tizanidine. There are just not enough experts out there. I have seen 3 Neurologist and 2 Neurosurgeons and not one of them said thee same thing with one exception, the last set of Doctors said, you will be in pain and that is what needs managing. MSCotin and Dilaudid is NOT good.
