t remeber things like talking to me on the phone and then he got worse and started becoming mean and cruel. I broke up with him. I tried to be understanding and friendly because I felt sorry for him but he got worse and then started imagining I was changing his facebook password. He became a totally different person. He also told me they were giving him morphine. Is this normal with Gabapentin? I'm really sad about it.

we know that morphine would not be a good combination with cannabis oil and are maybe going to try and wing her off morphine and replace it with cannabis oil. I would really appreciate some advice. I can elaborate on anything if needed.

ve tried gabapentin several times in addition to being on oxycontin and oxycodone (and some other meds at the same time.) I did find it helped with the pain but I had a bad side effect in that it made me slur my words (to the point people thought I was drunk and I don't drink.) Also, you cannot stop it cold turkey due to a seizure risk but it's not like you have withdrawals like you do with narcotics. I would also make sure you see how it affects you before driving.

Trying to taper off and get off opiates, morphine and oxy. can clonidine be taken at the same time to help with not having as much of the opiates? and help with the withdrawls?

I currently take Gabapentin, Lansoprazole, Laxido Sachets, Magnesium, Lidocaine Cream and recently added is Morphine (MST) and Salbutamol Inhaler. I am at the maximum dose of Gabapentin for the nerve pain and I am currently waiting for a specialist appointment with a neurologist. Since taking Morphine my asthma has flaired which has resulted in me taking alot of my reliever inhaler which has worsened my sleep, anxiety and caused muscle tension/cramps.

I am allergic to Aspirin, Morphine, Codeine, Hydrocodone, Tramadol and Ibuprofen. After my last back surgery they put me on Gabapentin several times a day. Now I just take it at night to help take the edge off so I can sleep. Now I have to have a shoulder replacement in 2 weeks and they want me to see a pain management specialist because they don't know what to give me when I come home. I told them to just up the Gabapentin to several times a day. But they don't want to do that.

The pain specialist says morphine and other opiates do not work well for MS pain because they do not go to where the pain is. He is not against Morphine I take it for Cancer. There are several drugs for nerve pain Lyrica, Gabenpentin, Trileptal, and few others. For muscle spasms there are muscle relaxers the main ones are Bacolphen, Flexiral, and Zananflex. Many people need a combination. Some drugs work for some people and others for others. My MS Specialist sent me to a pain clinic.

My husband takes Morphine Sulfer 15 mg and Gabapentin 300 mg, he has taken them close to a year, now he is have a problem keeping an erection. If needed could he take something for erectile disfunction, a perscription or something natural. His Doctor said not to worry about it (it is a she) I thought if we found some info maybe we could get her to pay attention. I know for a man this is a problem, and I want to help if I can.

Today is only day 2 off of 25mcg fent patches. I'm trying to detox before I start on morphine ER on Friday because I know if I just switch then the morphine won't help me. I was doing fine then he started lowering my meds. He put me on 1 60mg of morphine er and oxycodone 15mg every 6 hours. My pain is horrible and put me back in bed. I told him that I'm hurting so bad again now and at least with the morphine er twice a day and oxycodone 15 mg I could at least do some things. Again he wants to even lower me more to morphine er 30mg once a day and lower my oxycodone to 10mg every 6 hours.

I've been scouring the internet for information about any medication that will help ease methadone withdraws. I've been on 20-30mg for almost 3 months, which I posted about earlier. I don't have anything to help get through this, but I found some gabapentin and have read from numerous sources can be a godsend for opiate w/d symptoms. Does anyone have any experience using this?

I am currently taking Morphine 100mg /cr twice daily for severe RA and Fibromyalgia pain. I have noticed an unwanted side effect to the medication. AT night when I retire to bed and try to relax, I start having sudden/ moderately severe jerks or twitches all over my body, but only one area at a time. I know for a fact it is the morphine because as soon as I 've gone off it and put on something else, this jerking and twitching immediatley stops.

in a coma and a week after coming home I was found having a seziure with 104 fever, pneumonia. Since I have been home I have weaned off Oxycodone, Gabapentin, and all other meds for pain except the 60mg Kadian. I have had nausea and vomiting every day since I have been home. We split the Kadian to 30/30mg and I am still sick. I am hoping it is the Kadian that is making me sick. Even though I have taken it for a long time with no side effects I can't think what else it could be.

Im back from doctor he raised my Gabapentin take 2 at a time 2-3 times a day and he put me on Embeda it is a new drug and I know it cost a arm and a leg plus my first born. I am on 20-0.8 dose 1-2 times a day. Anyone know anything about this drug? I know it isn't suppose to be addicting well that is what he said. Also put me on another pill to make me lose weight since I have gained 16 lbs in 2 months.

I also have Pilocytic Astrocytomas growing towards my brain stem , in the cerebellum and a Venous Angioma, also in the Cerebellum. I also have Tympanosclerosis and am allergic to Morphine. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you, Sharon.

I am on gabapentin, Hydromorph Contin and Methadone to control pain. I also am taking acupuncture and trying a desensitization technique by rubbing different kinds of materials along my leg. The pain can be quite severe. Do you have any other suggestions that would take away the pain?

Thanks for replying. I thought that was breakthrough pain was. It almost doesn't apply to me as the pain is so high and so constant. I get up in the morning and it's really high and it gets worse as the day goes by (and this can be with me simply sat or led on the sofa - any kind of movement (slightly turning my head, moving my arm, just any very slight movement really) increases it.

s been doing it off and on for 4 years now and I found his syringes last night while we were cleaning the house - he came clean to me about the addiction and flushed all of his stuff. He wants to quit cold turkey but I am so scared about the whole process and don't know what to do. He wants to detox at home, I've googled it a bit and searched the forums but if there is any personal advice or tips that anyone could offer it would be greatly appreciated.

It is a pill that has morphine in it and another med to make you not feel the high of the morphine and not get addicted to it. Well so I thought. I stopped all meds at once just like the dr told me too and I went from Thursday to Saturday with out any meds. On saturday I woke up feeling fine and I went to work and started feeling so sick to my stomach. I went to the bathroom and puked 10 times. I went home and layed around. Hi Sweetie, I have taken gabapentin for years and I will have to tell you it is a wonderful drug, if it works for you. You might be tired at first but it will quickly fade, take your first dose at bedtime. You might feel a little loopy at first but that will soon pass too. How much has he started you on? I didn't have weight gain with it but some people might. It interrupts the pain signals in the central nervous system.

Thank you both for answering my concerns. I actually had an appt this morning with my Primary Dr. and she has put me on 30mg of Morphine Sulfate CR. 2x's/Daily and Gabapentin 300mg, which i work up from 1 in evening to 3 per day and use the Oxy for break-thru pain when needed.

This is not good news for me at all. I am 25mcg every 3 days and I am assuming be tossed off my pain management program tomorrow. I have been concerned with withdrawal as I went thru it after my spinal fusion when being hospitalized for 4 days post surgery and on morphine every 2 hours the entire time. coming home sucked! I thought I was going nuts. the second day I took myself off all meds completely thinking it was the percocet 10s they had me on plus flexeril and gabapentin...

In a 51 yr ki,dfemale. I've been diagnosed with osteoarthiritus and having a hard time,finding meds that will continually help thru my pain management doctor. I was on 30mg Percocet every 4 hours. It was decided I needed to be on something stronger opposed to Percocet or Norco that only lasts a few hours. I've tried morphine 30 mg twice daily as well as 15 mg, extended release twice daily.

Sometimes a flare up can make it difficult to put weight on my leg/hip. I am being treated with Gabapentin (neurotin) and also Tylenol 3 and sometimes Demerol. this is often missed, ascribed to chronic migraine, misdiagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia etc. Whats important is that there are unique treatments for nerve pain such as gabapentin (and others). if you are still having more pain than you and your doctor expect go see a pain specialist for help.

The pain got so bad i had to go back to the hospital for a week and they only pump me with all kinds of drugs, setroids, iv morphine and pill morphine,vicodin,valium,lortab,tramadol,gabapentin. He was just trying to get me out of pain then send me home. Then two days the pain was back i went to see him and he gave me RX of oxy 60mg twice aday on the other stuff but told me to stop the morphine. this last time that i was in the hospital they did a mri and ct.
