neurontin

Avatar m tn Literally like an hour after I took it I couldnt walk and was jerking violently and uncontrolably. Hallucinations and all the others were exacerbatd ten-fold. The drs finally "copped a clue" when I just kept calling them, they told me to stop taking it. That was yesterday morning.
Avatar m tn "It is not a narcotic, therefore much easier to taper down your dose." I respectfully disagree. Gabapentin can be downright dangerous to come off if not done right, and in THIS case, we're talking very high doses. OP, I agree completely with vicki that you need to seek medical attention for this, and soon. You are risking very a serious health crisis taking the much Neurontin. PLEASE read the info below.
1334842 tn?1275676847 t remeber things like talking to me on the phone and then he got worse and started becoming mean and cruel. I broke up with him. I tried to be understanding and friendly because I felt sorry for him but he got worse and then started imagining I was changing his facebook password. He became a totally different person. He also told me they were giving him morphine. Is this normal with Gabapentin? I'm really sad about it.

Avatar n tn To sum this up, I really do think that the combination and the amount of medication your wife is getting is causing the Hallucinations and with a medication change, I feel that this can be controlled. I wish I had better advise for you but I think my story will tell you that a med change might do the trick. Please keep us informed.
2052200 tn?1332429084 t know if I can help on this. I have Bipolar II and BPD and have had hallucinations but those are usually part of the symptoms. Most the times I'll see something following me around as clear as if it was day but its not. Its not there, just imagined and I know that but its still there. I've seen the faces and felt the being touched, constant shivers. But I've made up my own imaginings to make them rational. The only one that bugs is the auditory.
Avatar f tn Some people have psychiatric symptoms get worse or appear after taking an antipsychotic like a guy I just talked to today took a low dose of risperdal for anxiety and he started having hallucinations after taking it. It has helped greatly, but recently I have been having some break-through spasms. I do not recall having had any "vibrations" from the medication itself.
Avatar f tn I have taken gabapentin and xanax for 10+ years without problems. Xanax is a shorter acting benzodiazapine then librium. You may find you need less librium with gabapentin.

Avatar m tn 1. I take Abilify and Depakote, and sometimes psychoactive drugs have strange, rare side effects. 2. I would appreciate any feedback or thoughts from readers.

1564087 tn?1308947518 d have to find out the specifics of your diagnosis as hallucinations can occur in bipolar with psychotic features (and schizoaffective disorder such as I have) and there are many subtypes of bipolar and hallucinations and psychosis can occur in some. If you have concerns about the side effects of Seroquel it would be essential to speak to your psychiatrist and discuss what other medication might not be unsafe to take as regards heart disease.
Avatar n tn I am bipolar type 1 and I see shadows here and there and also hear voices whispers - this is enhanced by pot so I try not to go there any more. I would go to dr and talk with them about what you are seeing.

Avatar f tn I am learning so much about bipolar and I have found that I have, in fact, been having mild hallucinations my whole life. I have not talked a lot to anyone about it in my family or any of my friends. I'm afraid they will think I'm super crazy and reject me or not let me around their kids because they think I'm dangerous. I just want some insight about how to approach the subject. I really want my loved ones to understand what I'm going through.
Avatar f tn ve been through therapy, etc. and have been hospitalized against my will several times within the last 3 years but the mental health system is a joke where I live. Also, I do not believe in taking psychotropic medicine. I would like to say that I'm doing better depression-wise, no stress or anxiety, not as many mood swings, and don't cut anymore (but the urges are there & i can't be around sharp objects because of the temptation).
403156 tn?1290150018 I have been diagnosed as BP II for almost 3 years and have never experienced hallucinations until now. I feel like I see things in my peripheral vision that are really not there. I have also occasionally heard things as well. Mood wise, I feel very stable. So this is completely alarming. I was put on a medication for a heart arrhythmia and it said a rare side effect was hallucinations - so that is a possible explanation. Does anyone experience this while seemingly stable?
Avatar f tn My theraist siad it was just a symptom at this point and it is probably caused by stress. She told me to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to tell my mental health care provider... I have an appointment with her on Sept 7th. I'm on Cymbalta 60mg/day in the am, Lamictal200mg/day at bedtime and Trazodone 2 -300 mg/day at bedtime. I'm not sure what to think. I'm not being told to hurt myself or anyone else so I guess I'm ok?

314128 tn?1226857620 This is day 4 and feeling good except for not being able to sleep to save my soul. Last night I could have sworn the clothes in the laudry basket were moving. (Socks crawling over the edge, bathrobe holding up its sleeves to dance -honest to goodness magic mushroom like hallucinations. Could that because I'm dead tired or part of the withdrawals. That has never happened before and really got my attention. Any input?
Avatar m tn I wake up sometimes with a headache and suffer hallucinations for a few hours after, I have trouble remembering what I was hallucinating about , this doesn't happen very often but is very disturbing. Can you help please.
Avatar m tn I remember having hallucinations at age 6. I watched Outer Limits and at school I saw the alien bug from the show come out of a crack in the ground. I have never forgot it. When I was in my teens I often saw a hand put a coffee can down in my car or on my bed and a tarantula come crawling out of it, and I am terrified of them! Depending on your age, there might not have been any treatment protocol for kids your age.
