I have about 5 toenails with this now. I hope you find out what it is. I just started putting vicks vapor rub on my nails each day in hopes that it will help. I read about it on the internet.

April 2017 I inadvertently wiped my hands off on my left thigh and right breast-hands were coated with Vicks Vapor Rub at the time, which I had just applied to my toenails. Thus ensued immediate and enduring extreme pain left thigh and right breast, with visible/palpable tissue/fat changes. I have since had benign biopsy for the resultant microcalcifications/adjacent mass in the breast.

Can I use Vicks vapor rub?? I would like to put it under my nose and on my chest.. But I'm not sure if I can or should.. Don't really see why can't?? If no why?

From what i read on the internet it says put the vicks vapour rub on stretch marks and then wrap plastic film or clingfilm around ur body part.then wear tightish bottoms or top and go to bed.then shower in the morning. Im gonna try it tomorrow night to see if it works.

Its safe as long add you don't put directly in your nostrils.

So my sister bought me a whole bunch of stuff and one of the things was vicks vapor rub. Then my mom showed up with some meds for me, and she said she was going to buy me some VVR also but that it said to ask before use while pregnant. Well I had already put some on before I was told this. Why would they may possibly not want you to use it? And since I already did, will it hurt anything?

( I am wondering if anyone has had success with vix on feet or chest to help suppress cough? Pharmacist said its safe but just want opinions if its worked for you? And yes Ive called my doc office and if not better in a few days I'm going inm, but The vix I thought of after I talked to them . Thanks in advance, sorry for my whole life story of a post!

feels like fungus created skin folds as it heeled leaving tightness of the skin and white marks. also have used vicks vapor rub trying to get rid of the skin folds, when they open back up they are very painful with yellow centers and red outside edges, the strange thing is these black particles or pebbles pop out of my skin when pulling and stretching outward trying to get rid of these skin folds so that my skin does not feel so tight.

Can you use vicks vapor rub and afrin to help with sinus issues? Can you use stool softners? What can you take for indigestion?

The problem is that I think I have a nail fungus on the majority of my toenails. My toenails have turned white on the corners. They just look different to me. So I wonder what caused it and the only thing I can attribute it to is the nail polish I used all summer. So now I am too scared to paint my fingernails because I don't want it to happen to my fingernails! I have been using Vick's Vaporub and vinegar. From everything I have read, a cure for nail fungus is pretty much impossible...

Prescription oral pills can kill you, but they are easy - once a day for three months, then wait a year to see how they worked. Otherwise, use Vicks Vap-o-Rub every day until the nail clears up. The last patient that convinced me to prescribe the oral antifungal medicine for her "ugly toenails" developed hepatitis from the medicine after a month (I am glad I tested her for it) and it took four months before her liver returned to normal.

I use vicks all the time just after my shower not during.. like on my forhead and nose .. and for back and such i use icey hot.

Problems with nails may be due to fungus. I know this sounds crazy, but rub Vicks Vapor Rub on them daily. I saw this in an article by Dr. Gott in our local newspaper. It helped my husband and sister-in-law with their nails. Also, lung problems and smoking affects nails, as it limits the oxygen to the tissue. I am sure their are other medical issues that may affect findernails, but these are the only two that I am aware. Good luck!

I was curious if any mommies on here uses vicks baby rub for their little ones when they are all stuffed up? Do you only put it on before putting them to bed? Or more often then that?

one is using a plant called ruda toasting it in a piece of aluminum foil over stove top and in a piece of cotton ball smear a bit of vicks vapor rub or instead of ruda use a piece of garlic and do the same of toasting n smearing vapor rub....

I would just get a jar of Vicks vapor rub and rub a little on your chest and nose. But that's me. I have avoided meds at all costs all this pregnancy. :) feel better!

I've heard of people having luck with various tree oils, eucalyptus (Vicks vapor rub), tea tree, etc. I have had toenail fungus for years, and found most doctors won't prescribe Lamisil even if you have a normal liver. I tried to get it before my diagnosis and no luck. Now a friend of mine went through the same thing and was able to convince his doctor's partner to write the prescription.
