I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise).
My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day).
I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
He put me on antibiotics (cipro) for 10days saying I had epididmytis. For the most part the pain has went away, with some minor pain on occassion. After taking the anti-biotics (about 2 weeks ago now) I had a few days of lots of self enduced stress because I started thinking about some problems I had in college. In college I had two separate occurances of blood in my urine. I went through lots of testing (two cystoscopies, one under anesthesia) and both were normal.
About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
i m very concerned my daily activities are limited i always feel like urinating ,now i m taking sleeping pills to sleep,it has become very hard for me to sleep,especially when i come back from gym i cant stop urinating ,i also have pain in my lower back,my urologist told me that i have inagural hernia but he said that it has nothing to do with frequent urination...i would appreciate if someone can give my any clue or advice in this regard ,especially i m looking for the advice of dr.
About a month ago I woke up one morning and I had to urinate constantly. I urinate in the middle of the night, and when I get up in the morning I will go to the bathroom sometimes 2-3 times an hour. This continues throughout the day. There is no burning or urge its just that I have a full bladder constantly. I am not thirsty but I have to drink water to keep up with my unrinating or I will get dehydrated.
Urinary frequency is one symptom associated with urinary tract infection (UTI). Other symptoms include painful urination, urgency and sometimes back pain. Diagnosis is usually made with a urinalysis. This condition is usually treated with antibiotics prescribed by your doctor. Also, try not to push yourself too much during exercise. Do some stretching first to avoid too much pain after.

I am a 22 years old male from india. I am suffering from frequent (day time) urination (around 12 times in daytime only, don't wake up from sleep to urinate ) for the last 6 years. I generally have to urinate in small amounts,I feel that I am emptying my bladder everytime . My urine flow also is normal, I take little time to start urinating as the amount of urine is not much. there is no urinary leakage , i feel my pelvic floor muscles are strong enough.
Both me and my doctor have not seen any obvious herpes lesions. I should also note that at first the back pain was accompanied by frequent urination but that has gone away on its own. (I was tested for Gonorrhea and chlamydia and both were negative)
Is it possible for the Herpes virus to be causing this nerve painfor this long without any lesion?
urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management.

Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out.
For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
There are many things that can cause frequent urination. Do you have pain with your frequency?
I have Interstitial cystitis an inflammatory bladder disease. This can cause frequency
but also has pain. However for us, foods can effect our symptoms. I suggest you watch acidic foods, avoid coffee, alcohol, soda, caffeine, chocolate, cranberries etc. I can give you some food lists for those of us with bladder issues if you pm me, but those are the big ones.

I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT!
Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
