Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor 7 days ago after experiencing symptoms of a UTI (pain, blood in urine, frequent urination). The doctor said I had a UTI, and prescribed 100mg Macrobid, 2x a day for 7 days. I just finished my last dose. I no longer have pain, burning, or blood when going to the bathroom, however I do have a general discomfort in my lower abdomen. What does this mean?
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar m tn t even feel this when I was diagnosed with Gonorrhea. My frequent urination only occurred the day after me and my partner had foreplay. (To be honest, it wasn't really much of a foreplay, we just "grinded" with our clothes on, and kissed) Also, I missed taking my daily dose of Doxycilin that day because I had to do some business and forgot to bring my meds with me, but I don't think that's the thing that caused my frequent urination. (or is it?) My questions are: 1.

Avatar m tn I have been suffreing from urinary disorder and scrotum small epididymal head cyst from several years.Symptoms are frequent urination and sometime burning sensation in uranary track. Recently I visited a Dr. (Urologist) with USG report. USG for Whole abdomen: IMPRESSION: 1) Right renal cortical cyst, 2) Grade-iprostatomegaly with 17 ml PVRU. USG for Scrotum: 1) Left sided grade -i varicocele, 2) small right epididymal head cyst.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.
Avatar f tn I have notice frequent urination durring the day. not at night when i'm sleep. I also feel a small, small pain,it almost feels like it burns at times. on my left side. How concern should i be and what should i do.
Avatar f tn The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina. I would like to add that this whole frequent urination thing began after i masturbated.
Avatar n tn UTI is not a STD, but I would adviod sex until the UTI clears up.
Avatar m tn I've had this problem for about four years now. I feel like urinatining and when I go to the bathroom, sometimes I have to force the urine out and only a little bit comes out. It's not painful and doctor's have given me lots of UTI medication so I know it's not a UTI, but trying to force the urine out really drains me it gets me weak and frustrated. The frequency and urgency to urinate is always there.
Avatar f tn My understanding is that it usually takes a couple of days for UTI symptoms to start to improve. All initial antibiotic treatment is guesswork -- no single antibiotic is effective for every UTI. If not better in a couple of days, tell your doctor and a different antibiotic might be necessary. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's an STD. Cipro isn't ideal for STDs, but often would work.
Avatar n tn hi, i have been experiencing frequent urination and got tested for uti. they said they didnt find any bacteria so does that mean i do not have to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea? i do not have discharge and i took all the antibiotics from cipro, oflox, and azythro. currently im taking oxybutynine hci for overactive bladder since i had a ultra sound and they found nothing. btw im 20 yrs old healthy male but all these symptoms appeared after my sexual encounter.. it should be a std right?
Avatar n tn However, i was still experiencing symptoms so i went back a second time and they found a small amount of infection and gave me the same medication and dosage as the first UTI in October, IM STILL HAVING THE SAME SYMPTOMS! I’m having frequent urination and abdominal and back pain, no burning or blood in my urine. Recently i’ve been having more frequent bowel movements then usual, also gas and brown discharge, i’m not sure if they’re all related.
Avatar m tn t want another UTI... can thrush cause frequent urination too?
Avatar f tn If there are stressful situations affecting him, try to make sure he has some relaxation time, or quiet time to spend with his family. After about 3 to 5 months, the frequent urination symptoms dissapeared for my son. I hope this helps. Take care.
