frequent urination urge

Hi, I'm a 20 yr old college student and as of a year, I have been experiencing frequent bladder problems. When I use the restroom, I never feel as though my bladder is empty. I constantly feel the urge to urinate even though I've spent about 5 minutes on the toilet trying to empty out my bladder (sometimes, it can take 20min). When I first get the urge to urinate, the flow is fine. However, a pinch starts to come out then it stops, then another pinch, then another stop and so forth.

If one had unprotected vaginal intercourse, what would be the soonest a person would begin to experience a frequent urge to urinate as a result of the common and lesser known std's?

I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?

Hello, Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but urge of frequent urination can be due to increased intake of fluids or diabetes mellitus.Other possibilities are glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection,hypercalcemia,hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism,hyperparathyroidism,diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in elderly males).

Symptoms do not come on the next day and frequent urination is usually not a stand alone symptom and frequent means like every 10-15 minutes. If worried wait 1 week from the encounter and get tested for gonorrhea, but overall I see no need to do so.

I am 25 and recently, i started experiencing frequent urination. I had side pain for a day so i got urine test done and it came out normal. The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina.

I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this?

I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.

Yes, when I have a stone or stones, I'll have a much more frequent urge to urinate than when I don't have a stone. I've also experienced a very slight burning sensation at times with a stone too. Are you on anything like Flomax? I've noticed a more frequent urge since I've been taking Flomax too. Not sure if that's the Flomax, or just my age coming into play.LOL!

Hi, I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy 2 years ago (confirmed by biopsy in 2012), and recently I have a frequent urge to urinate with burning and pressure. It's worse in the morning. My Dr. ruled out a UTI, so I'm wondering what else can cause this. I'm waiting to see my nephrologist in two weeks, but this is very irritating in the meantime.

I know that frequent urination is a sign of diabetes so I am concerned. Are there any other signs of diabetes I should look for? Any other possible explanations? I would love to put my mind at ease.

What could cause frequent urination or the urge to urinate constantly? I am a 36 year old women. I will go ahead and tell you I do not have a UTI, I was already checked for that and that is the only thing the ER checked and sent me home. They did a urine specimen on me and said no UTI and sent me home. It is not do to my medications either.

I am suffering from frequent high volume urination both during the day and night. During the day I can go every half to three quarters of an hour and in the evening I usually go every hour on the hour. I do suffer from sleep apnea (untreated) also which leaves me exhausted every day.
